Not really meaning that much as opposed to Apollo and Diana being outright stated as full siblings and what I mentioned above (Apollomons cool and would fit with Luna being Dianamon and Verge's relation with Flamemon better tbh).
I'm aware Apollo and Diana/Artemis are siblings, twins actually, but that doesn't change the fact that Mars/Ares is a equally valid sibling.
Heck, it could be considered more valid as I do believe Ares is the older brother in that family while apollo is the same age. Verge is a Big brother after all
Dark Masters, Four Holy Dragons... and the Sovereigns... yeah. Those are the only official quartets that we know of outside the quest. But this could be something completely different that's made up of a group from inside the quest, like the Host and Gloaming and Bulwark.

To be fair he was a Nanomon. They generally only care about tech. He didn't socialize much, mainly just maintaining the equipment in the basement and hidden surveillance tech around BaroTown.
Pit didn't face a lot of intrigue or betrayal, just fighting to the death. Something he is rather good at. And before the most recent bit of character development he was quite the murderhobo.
For this, consider what Verge and Co have been hunting along with the fact that none of these mon's names are wildest known despite Bulwark's resources.
Okay very weird spellcheck error. I have no idea how Wildest came about there. Kind of messed up what I was trying to say. Sorry.
Actually, I was implying the opposite. Verge and Co can't become sovereigns, but they are hunting digimon that...
Oh thank goodness... don't get me wrong the Knights are pretty darn good but I can't help but be in favor of a none humaniod Mega form myself.
....Unless of course we have Andromon as an Ultimate on the way somehow but that's because he was one of my favorite digimon of all time right next to Metal Greymon.
[] Target 1: A giant boar digimon that is wreaking havoc across the wilds, consuming all it comes across and constantly growing stronger. Bulwark wants it destroyed before it comes across a frontier town or scout outpost.
===
Your hunting party vacates the village in haste after Baromon's sudden collapse, leaving him like that is regretful, but Ogremon was very forceful in making sure your group left. He didn't exactly threaten any of you, but you had a feeling that his patience was near its end.
The ensuing journey leaves you plenty of time to think over the ancient digimon's words... and they're frustratingly confusing. Scion of magic and metal? That word was supposed to relate to demonic digimon like Astamon and Ardat, yet that Knightmon from your dreams and the Baromon had both labelled you as such. Did that mean you'd evolve into some sort of evil monster made of metal and sorcery one day? And calling you an abomination... that word it's similar to the feeling you received months ago when digging through that root. The... massive tree had been disgusted by your very existence.
*A body crushed* has to refer to your previous life, where... you'd been running. Lights had fallen from above and... a digimon squeezed your body until it broke. However what came next, a *soul bargained* was something you had no context regarding. Much like his second statement, it all felt like utter frustrating nonsense. Thinking about it now makes you want to strike the ancient armor-mon.
However Baromon's last sentence... it was worrying.
"The Slayer lives! He returns to find that which is his!"
Supposing that Baromon's prophecy was regarding you in some way, it means that *The Slayer* also has something to do with you. And with a title like that... it certainly means a fight. While the promise of a hard battle is exciting, the idea of fighting something entirely unknown is frustrating. You'll have to find information about it somehow. (Minor goal gained)
Pit's prophecies in comparison had been more mild. You're guessing that *grown cut and reborn* refers to him reincarnating from his past life, while followup obviously refers to his name and days as a rookie. Sadly the second statement regarding him was just as nonsensical as the words the threw your way. Unlike yourself, the Pidmon is taking it all in stride, just shrugging it off. The lucky mon. You can't let this go. Thankfully Wendimon managed to write everything down and was wholly willing to give you a copy.
Traveling over the next three days is disappointingly peaceful, no ferals approach close enough for you to attack and with the constant travel you're not really able to do any kata training either. At least your nightly meditation's aren't effected overmuch.
Following the *Giant Boar Digimon* is surprisingly easy, even through the rapidly warping landscape. The Ultimate simply leaves a trail of destruction that's impossible to miss, bowling over hundreds if not thousands of trees and stripping sections of whatever foodstuff they happen to posses. Be it ripping apart hills or trampling plains the quarry devastates anything in its path. Your squad even comes across a lake that's been turned into a much shallower pool of filthy brown from its passing.
During this time Sparks makes a steady recovery, regaining both physical and esoteric functions every day. Most of which you can attribute to Weddingmon's careful nursing and constant supply of herbs. Heck she even takes to sleeping with him during the night. Given how his bed is your back, that makes nights distinctly uncomfortable.
How he can put with being in such close contact with a wommon, much less enjoy it you have no idea... and aren't interesting in knowing either.
The overall relationship between your squad and the enemy is oddly less and more strained at the same time. Pit now constantly has his guard up around Wendimon instead of trusting the big beast digimon, but he and Rinkmon aren't in constant conflict for once. If anything they're kind of getting along? Well, they're managing to look at each other without glaring. Pit's change is one thing, but Rinkmon's is more surprising. By your guess something must have happened in BaroTown... but your one attempt to ask about it just landed you a glare.
On the third morning however you come to a revelation of sorts while pondering Baromon's words. Not regarding the text itself, but regarding Bulwark. Galgomon had sworn *by the great tree* in a tone you'd reserve for a digimon worshiping the *Ten* or *Lord*. And what's more, the organization's very flag is a tree. The object from your vision was also a titanic, colossal, enormous tree. Once coincidence isn't suspicous, but two? Your curiosity is begging you to ask about it... though only after conferring with Sparks of course.
=When will Verge confront Galgomon about *the tree*?
[] After the next hunt, there should be plenty of time before you reach the next target anyway.
[] After the last hunt, just in case things somehow devolve, you'd rather it be after the mission is completed.

Galgomon stops your group late on the third day.
"Right right, halt here now guys. We're getting pret-ty close to that feral yeah? Like, less than half a days journey away. So we gotta do some planning and ya'll need ta be briefed on what we know."
"It is strong, yes?"
"Tch, course it is. Friggen' thing must be even bigger than Verge."
"Yeah, yeah. It is. Kinda hard not ta see that after following it. According to the uh, report that was passed on it ain't very fast unless it can build up a charge. So don't be in its way unless ya want to be squishy squishy. The thing's tusks are also like... unbreakable? They blocked a Knightmon's berserk blade without damage and ya probably know how big those things are. And... oh yeah! Don't get near its big, big mouth. It bit the last squad's leader, a TankDramon, right in half.
"Its front seems extremely powerful." You note, wondering how well your war-gauntlets would match up to this digimon. "And the rest?"
"Meh, not really anything special? There's just a lot'of him. Like, a whole, whole lot of him... last thing. This mon can shoot like, two different types of colored rings from his mouth, a blue one that'll trap ya and a red one that'll burrow right through ya so... watch out for those."
I see. Yes, I will have to watch out for those... hmm. Can I block the latter? Mayhaps, but I'll have to find out.
"Mikemon, ya wanna breif'em on the bait?"
"Sure thing Galgomon. Alright, listen up kiddos! This thing's already big and slow enough, so we're not bothering with the fancy poisons. We're just going to use a mixture that weakens its physical structure."
"..."
"It'll be less tough and stuff, weaker too. You can hurt it easier."
"I see."
"That makes sense."
"Uh... that is good news friends!"
"Just ta hammer this one in, don't get close to its face or even think about matching it in strength. This feral could take on a speeding Locomon and come out on top."
Spirits above...
"I can distract it." Rinkmon states confidently, her mouth turning up into a smirk. "I could use the exercise."
"Maybe that... wouldn't be the best idea." Pit murmurs, a worried frown finding its way onto his face. "If it's this strong then... maybe friend Beat should-"
"Are you saying I'm not fast enough angel?" The Gloaming soldier replies, her voice as cold as ice.
"What? No! All I'm-I mean... nevermind" The Pidmon mumles, hanging his head in defeat.
"Entertaining as that melodrama is, Hunter Galgomon, have you conjured up a plan to deal with this feral? It sounds to be quite the opponent." The smaller champion grins at that, and squats down.
"Here's what we've got ta do..."
=
That night you Sparks and Weddingmon go off to the latters tent for some *last minute checkups* leaving you in blessed solitude. However half an hour into your pre-sleep meditation, Pit interrupts you with a cough.
"Friend Verge... can we speak?"
... you can ignore him Verge... Darnit. No, you cannot ignore friends... not like this.
"Yes?"
"I... well, you've seen that I've been training more right?"
"I have... and did you wish to spar? I cannot condone it on the night before a hunt, we must rest."
"Sparring? No, uh that's not it. It's... even with that training I don't think I'm living up to what my station as a leader requires. For the Lord and my comrades both. I lack the blessed perseverance that you and Beat share."
He has been... incapacitated during a number of our battles correct.
"That is true... but you are quite formidable for a champion and do not forget, your ability to heal is crucial."
"But that isn't enough, I have to be able to fight with you guys. I need to be able to lead from the front as a true warrior of God. Like SlashAngemon or HolyAngemon. Which uh... brings me to this." The Pidmon takes a deep breath and awkwardly fumbles with his fingers for a few seconds.
"Yes?"
"Well... alright! Sir, I mean Hunter Galgomon has given me a choice between which data is... spliced into my core. This… boar digimon. Or the *Winged Cat*. And, could you help me choose?"
"Of course, but why come to me? Your path intersects with others."
"Yeah but... Lord forgive me for saying this, but I can't trust either of them with this. Beat would tell me to take the option that makes me *stronger* while Sparks, he might... laugh at me."
Huh... I do not believe he's wrong.

[] Suggest he wait for the next digimon. He doesn't need to be tougher, just better at what he currently does. (+Agility, Strength & Spirit)

Does this mean we get dibs on whatever is left? Or is our core too unstable/delicately balanced to mess with?
Shouldn't be any reason for it to devolve. Its a pretty innocent question, as long as we don't bring up our encounter with the root.

As for Pit, this is an interesting and difficult choice. Might be a good idea to post his stats and talents with it.
On a related note, why do I get the feeling that if Verge becomes a Vikarlamon, he'll be as long as a Locomon (including the cars) and as tall as BishopChessmon?

Here's hoping Verge can get some Boar data as well, than Verge can get even bigger!

Dude needs hp. Dodging would be better if he actually dodges instead ofcharging in berserk
