Its a nice dream.
And our honor already works like that after all

Order vs Chaos, Many vs Few, Control vs Freedom, ect ect.

Personally there's no wrong Way to rule things, but they're also no perfect way run things, especially in a World like the Digital World.

But on my personal preference for now I stand with Latter.

[] Apologize and disagree. You can't ever see his idea ever bearing fruit. At least, not in this flawed world. And what's to stop this *rule of law* from being corrupted by the strong enforcing it?

Edit: Vote swap due to lack of support.

[X] "So you want a set of universal laws across the entire digital world? Won't that require you to conquer and then enforce them on the entire digital world? An if so, what makes your rules any better to fight and die for then any other faction? Since most mon have different ideals about what is right and natural, as I doubt those of the Gloaming or the Host could completely agree on what is right and wrong."

Verge is obsessed with power yes, but I do think he'd like to work towards what happened to his home becoming less likley even if no system is perfect, and he thinks a shot at one exists I'd immagine he'd be in support.

Any chance we might be able to go for a middle ground here @drexal15? As I feel Verge has lived a life so far that could give a more tempered response rather then just a agree or disagree answer for a question like this.

Plus, I get the feeling Wendimon would enjoy the debate and more indepth response to his question.

I actually find myself liking such idea, Law is the basis of any civilised society after all, with order being imposed the suffering of the digital world would be minimised, to think that a Gloaming member would have such a ideal, I'm truly surprised, and yet it is a pleasant surprise.

Its interesting to find out that Pit doesn't seem even remotely close to his caps.

I guess that he was meant to be reborn as one of those special snowflakes who becomes a monstrously powerful Rookie, and then becomes monstrously powerful from the moment he first reaches Champion, but his early life giving him almost no chances to grow as a Rookie made him evolve into an average Champion who still has the caps he would have had if he had evolved into a monstrous Champion?

Also, extremely strongly looks like this Wendimon is a special snowflake destined to be someone important. The question is, which way is he supposed to go? The default Ultimate evolution is a Deva, and in theory all Devas can become Sovereigns, but this particular Deva is also the standard Ultimate form of Cherubimon.

Granted, a Cherubimon already exists in this world.

The first thing you do after setting off is draw Beat to the marching column's back and inform him of your odd feeling of how the three second burst of invulnerability is connected to the gigantic tree. He just kind of shrugs, agrees to keep it quiet, then continues on walking.

...

You don't know what you were expecting really. But the darkened Stingmon's reaction was underwhelming. It almost makes you want to tell Pit to see his. Almost.
Beat: "We've seen enough weird shit that this is like Tuesday"
On the morrow you're unfortunately left bored. Sparks is actually carrying along well with Weddingmon now, as they're capable of holding conversations. Beyond even that, the Wizardmon is spending his free time learning trap-construction and "hunting stuff" from Galgomon, so you can't really interrupt. While those skills might be considered *useful* to him, they won't assist your drive to gain power. Meaning that they're effectively worthless.
Sparks is doing well there. Lets hope he keeps it up.
Unfortunate about our attitude to traps though.

Verge always was focused on whats in front of him, not a bear for squirrely thought

"Seek not haste in this matter Gryzmon, there are more topics we can discuss than simple violence."
The tall digimon shoots you an interested smile. You get the sudden feeling that a tirade of information is about to start pouring out from his mouth. "For a simple start, we can discuss the exact changed wreaked upon your friend by the black Digitron, they are quite astounding indeed. My nature leaves me few intellectual equals to explain this subject to, but surely a mon of spellwork such as you will be able to understand the terminology correct? Few in this world share my curiosity for the unexplained with fewer still present in the Gloaming and those that I do consider of proper intellect lack the correct moral form to appreciate the benefits such research can bring about. Ah yes, the black Digitron. It did more than just cause your friend's chitin to darkened, the virus-"

... Spirits below. I was right.

Seconds turn into minutes and soon enough, an hour has passed on by. Thankfully due to the rambling of Pit and Ardat you're capable of entering a semi-meditative state to get through it, but several of his statements are of interest.
Wendimon is a huge nerd, Sparks is too much of a but to expound to, Beat, Pit and Rinkmon are basically jocks...

...so he found a captive audience.

I sort of want Verge to derail the conversation into an epiphany about the nature of soft vs hard power. In my phone or I would make the write in.

Edit: the power to convince somemon 8s still power

Even a weakened Host wold be a net good for the world if the Host didn't get so full of crazy zealots.
That's the thing, at its peak the Host was balanced. They had a tripart system that allowed the Holy Trinity to keep closer watch and talk down zealots. Now it's Slash Angemon trying to do the work of three angels, two of whom handled aspects of the Host that he simply isn't suited for.

Keep in mind we don't actually know all that much about what the Host was like prior to it's current state, with our main sources of info being older host soldiers and scattered memories, at least one of which implies our past lifes home may have been wrecked by one of the Holy Trinity.

They might have been more reasonable back then but the Host and Gloaming were still enemies... I think even the most benevolent of Host characters are likely to place the lions share of what happened to it on Daemon regardless on any problems that may have been boiling in the Host under the surface... and I'm sure the Gloaming has tales that are just as biased.

As such I find it a rather poor example to use myself, especially to a member of the Gloaming proper.

Rather then agree with or disagree, I more interested in finding out more on why Wendimon thinks his rules would be better for the world then another factions at this point? Since having a single one way conversation about this kind of topic seems lacking for what it entails.

I like the thought, but saying it in that way just doesn't really feel like something that Verge would say.
