It was soemthing that sadly got entirely annoyed. It meant that everyone could go ahead and do separate and unique write-in tactics of which I'd take the most sensible. They weren't supposed to copy the plan of anyone else. But fug it.
Ah, Maybe puting "Not a Vote" in front and adding "Don't Copy others" in bold could have helped with that?

Cause the way it was written out -atleast to me- didn't explain the intention as clearly.

So guys I've been putting s lot of thought into my stat system and I've come to the conclusion that Agility really isn't scaling as well as the other stats. Through just level alone the combat speed gets quite ridiculous with big monstrous ults moving at high supersonic speeds which ends up being kind of silly.

So I was thinking of putting in a setting-wide nerf on current agility and agility gains. Meaning going forward the difference won't be as insane. The smaller mon won't be effected nearly as much.

Any opinions?
My thought is that Agility is basically used to offset Mass. Massive Digimon have a mass bonus to the Strong Stuff(tanking hits and moving large objects) and a penalty to Agility since most of it goes to offsetting their bulky body. The opposite applies to light digimon.
Damage factor is largely unaltered since damage is mostly F=MA and well, you're trading Acceleration for Mass or Mass for Acceleration. Net result doesn't change.

Which is already sort of what happens here? We know smaller, especially humanoid and unarmored digimon can't take as much damage for the same stat points because they don't have a lot of mass and its easy to smash their core through the couple inches of digimeat. We know big burly mons like MasterTyrannomon can't really dodge even if they are agile, and their body gets in the way of landing hits.

This does mean that the 'raw' stats are the pre-size stats of course

[X] Wendimon & Rinkmon: You haven't really been able to sate your curiosity on the odd Gloaming digimon assigned to your squad. The next few days could be your chance to learn more about them... and potentially get in a spar against a mon your equal. He's certainly strong, perhaps enough to defeat you outright.

Hmm. Thank you Veekie!:D That's helped me look at it another way! No changes are needed.

  • [X] Beat & Pit: Due to Beat's new boost in power, he can theoretically team up with Pit to give you a decent challenge. Well, providing that you're pulling your punches at least. A few good sparring sessions on the way there would be a good warmup for what's to come. Plus it could improve their teamwork further.

    [X] Plan Bait and Kingfishers
-[X] Verge and Wendimon play bait. You're both tough enough that it probably can't just oneshot either of you, and the other will be able to prevent it from disengaging with a group grapple. You're both also too large to possibly drag away into a tunnel fight
-[X] Sparks stay off the ground, on Verge's back, to get off when the opponent is tied up with the bait, and provide support.
-[X] Rinkmon stays in close range of the bait, keep watch and maintain an irregular orbit around the middle duo. Make it too much trouble to pick them off with a minimal ground footprint. If Rinkmon is attacked first, the rest can come to the rescue, but they SHOULD be best suited to assault and stun the feral once it pops out.
-[X] The flyers(Pit, Beat) keep WELL off the ground, they'd be there to divebomb the feral once it attacks the ground party.
--[X] If they can do so without much encumbrance, they should carry Mikemon as well, to maximize the surprise value of additional combatants. If not, Mikemon joins Rinkmon

Since we'll be fighting the snake in a tundra, could we maybe flush it out of the tunnel by using fire magic to melt tons of snow/ice and flood the tunnel?

Just because I can and because it would be some nice bonding with both our teammates.

As we really need to hang out with Pit and Beat more and strengthen our connections.

A Rival’s Mercy: Aftermath (Canon, by TempestK)
A Rival's Mercy: Aftermath

Dinohumon was... apprehensive, as he approached the end of the ravine. The Gloaming forces had stayed to secure the area, but supplies were beginning to run out, and many had begun foraging. Sorcerymon, his... well, prisoner he supposed, was staying back where he'd told him to. At this point if he tried to run then he'd be picked off easily by one of the other soldiers. Rounding a curve of rock, he steeled himself as he came in sight of his immediate commander for this mission... and her "little" brother.

Lady Luna was lounging on a rock outcropping, gently running her claws through the mane of white hair that Thresh sported (He wasn't sure why the powerful Champion hadn't been given a rank akin to his sister's, but his was not to question why). The Lekismon was an inscrutable presence, always seeming to have a coy smile, even as her eyes seemed devoid of any emotion. Her brother's presence, and the two Dokugumon back at the main fortress were the only times that anything seemed to reach those crimson orbs. One ear cocked, and she looked up in his direction. Thresh gave a light growl at the cessation of the petting, one amber eye cracking open to discern the cause, before grunting in recognition at seeing Dinohumon, and settling back down. The powerful champion had been more than willing to smack the smaller supposedly more agile mon around in the name of training, but once again Dinohumon had been rapidly, impossibly outclassed far too quickly.

"So, Dinohumon. You have something to report?" He takes a knee to deliver his news.

"Lady Lekismon, I have captured a prisoner... and I am unfamiliar with the protocol." He was still then, awaiting instructions.

"And where is the prisoner now?"

"He is-"

"I am here, miss." Dinohumon's head whipped up and around, seeing Sorcerymon step out from behind the rock outcropping. His wand is holstered across his back, and his hands are held low, the common sign of non-aggression for spell-casters. He walks up, and then gives a polite bow from the waist, before looking at Dinohumon. "Forgive me for not following your instructions to the letter, but I felt that so long as I stayed at least in your vicinity I would be able to avoid any grave misunderstandings."

Dinohumon can't find any holes in that logic, so he sighs and lets it go; only to see Lady Luna looking between him and the Sorcerymon. "How very interesting. You captured him then, Dinohumon?"

"I... accepted his surrender. The condition I found him in... It would... not have been honorable to kill him." Thresh and Luna seem to exchange glances at that for some reason, before the wommon gestures for him to continue. "As I have taken him prisoner, it is my duty to see that he is treated well. On my honor I swear it will be so."

Lady Luna blinks at that, before a small smile that actually seems to reach her eyes flickers across her face. "Commendable. You are to continue in this duty. And I am happy to inform you that your request to aid the Gloaming through the acquisition of funds has been approved. Our liaison with Bulwark has arranged transportation."

Dinohumon perks up, before glancing at the still standing Sorcerymon. "And my prisoner?" Lady Luna gives an airy, almost negligent wave.

"You can take him with you. I trust in your and Youkomon's capabilities to keep a single mon under control, especially one so well behaved." She looks intently at Sorcerymon, and Dinohumon sees the other champion looking back just as intently... before the corners of his eyes crinkle.

"Of course miss, I would hardly be so craven and rude as to besmirch the young mon's honor when he has put it on the line in such a manner. I assure you, I will do the utmost to see that I am no trouble to him during this task."

Lady Luna's eyes crinkle as well behind her own mask, as she nods. "Very well. You have three days to reach the nearest town, and the transport that has been arranged there." There's a crunch of claws on scree, before Youkomon herself appears. The animalistic mon grabs up her partner off the ground with two of her tails, and gives a glare and a snort at Sorcerymon.

"Youkomon, we have to take him with us." Another snort and a growl. "He's not been any trouble so far!" Another growl and a snort of flames this time. "Youkomon... I promised." That finally seems to break through the other mon's reticence, and with an air of ill grace, Sorcerymon is swept off his feet into one of the tails as well. As she takes off without even a "by your leave" from Lady Luna, Dinohumon twists to see her expression.

The Lekismon has returned to stroking her brother's mane, a contemplative look on her face. Seeing Dinohumon's attention, she raises her other paw, and wiggles the claws in a "goodbye". And then they're around the bend and off to their next assignment.

Nice work Tk, although I don't know if Dino would know to call her Luna since nicknames seems to be a more of a friend type of deal and Asuramon called her Lady Lekismon back in the past, but like I said good job

You know now I'm thinking of an AU where the count realized that Verge was a rookie and had him taken.... but didn't manage to kill flamemon leading to the later escaping with Sparks.

.... Oh man Flamemon would not be having a good time.

In that version of events, Verge would have had a couple outcomes. Either A, exploding, or B, ending up some sort of monster due to his not-so-strong mind and how Count would have handled his unique biology.

As for Flamemon, he would have had to live with failing to keep his promise and seeing his dreams, the thing he based his entire life off of, die.

So probably something like Medleomon then? Or full on boss monster level of horrible?

Yep.... certainly the dark timeline.

[] Wendimon & Rinkmon: You haven't really been able to sate your curiosity on the odd Gloaming digimon assigned to your squad. ===

The first thing you do after setting off is draw Beat to the marching column's back and inform him of your odd feeling of how the three second burst of invulnerability is connected to the gigantic tree. He just kind of shrugs, agrees to keep it quiet, then continues on walking.

...

You don't know what you were expecting really. But the darkened Stingmon's reaction was underwhelming. It almost makes you want to tell Pit to see his. Almost.

On the morrow you're unfortunately left bored. Sparks is actually carrying along well with Weddingmon now, as they're capable of holding conversations. Beyond even that, the Wizardmon is spending his free time learning trap-construction and "hunting stuff" from Galgomon, so you can't really interrupt. While those skills might be considered *useful* to him, they won't assist your drive to gain power. Meaning that they're effectively worthless.

Much to your sadness it's not really possible to do much physical activity on the road either. Pit and Beat spend most of their time sparring in the air as a way to test their limits. The surgery did exactly what Galgomon put forth, increasing the Stingmon's capacity for growth. However the real surprise is your angelic friend. When you'd first met him the Pidmon hadn't seem all that exceptional, yet over the months he'd reached beyond what you'd expect of nearly any champion. And from what you've been able to glean, he's still not even close to hitting his limits. There has to be a reason for an oddity such as this, but you're just unable to find one such as yet.

So without much else to do you decide to try and indulge your curiosity regarding the *allies* sent by the Gloaming. First by approaching Wendimon to ask for a fight, but his answer is... disappointing:

"Ah, Bellator Verge. My sincere apologies, but I'm afraid I must decline your request."
The Wendimon articulates with a sweeping bow.

He is... turning my request down?

"But why? A close battle would raise our powers to further heights."

"I have myriad reasons for it, but the most affluent of those is simple. Unlike other digimon such as yourself, I do not find pleasure in conflict. While it may cause me to grow, I currently lack the desperation needed to force such brutal confrontations."
You wince at his words, as they cause several memories from your rookie days to bubble to the surface.

That sentiment. It is a reason I could once relate too, even if my path has now gone beyond that.

"Very well, then I shall take my leave." However before you can turn, the beast digimon's large left hand comes down firmly on your pauldron.

"Seek not haste in this matter Gryzmon, there are more topics we can discuss than simple violence."
The tall digimon shoots you an interested smile. You get the sudden feeling that a tirade of information is about to start pouring out from his mouth. "For a simple start, we can discuss the exact changed wreaked upon your friend by the black Digitron, they are quite astounding indeed. My nature leaves me few intellectual equals to explain this subject to, but surely a mon of spellwork such as you will be able to understand the terminology correct? Few in this world share my curiosity for the unexplained with fewer still present in the Gloaming and those that I do consider of proper intellect lack the correct moral form to appreciate the benefits such research can bring about. Ah yes, the black Digitron. It did more than just cause your friend's chitin to darkened, the virus-"

... Spirits below. I was right.

Seconds turn into minutes and soon enough, an hour has passed on by. Thankfully due to the rambling of Pit and Ardat you're capable of entering a semi-meditative state to get through it, but several of his statements are of interest. According to him Black Digitron works to increase the density of a digimon's data to make them more hardy, but this process also works to strengthen their internal workings to furthermore increase their physical endurance. Which makes you curious whether or not the process would work for you, though that is swiftly cut down. You need a certain amount of speed in order for your counters to work and Frame Reinforce slows your body down enough. Beat's much smaller body was able to lose agility and still come out fine, but if you suffered the same fate... well speed is already one of the if not the lowest of your body's points. Further downing it would certainly lower your ability to fight efficiently.

However, what he says next is even more surprising. According to the tests he did the viral matter interacted with Beat's source code in an odd way, as the fusion didn't create an even stronger virus, but rather somehow, managed to result in pure *Data*. The Wendimon doesn't know how exactly that happened, but he's determined t find out how and why. When you ask what the difference is, you're subjected to a further tirade about the three base attributes. Still, gaining more information is never a bad thing... though you make sure to avoid mentioning your dual-attribute nature. It might make him want to try and experiment on you.

The conversation draws to it's end when the champion moves onto a less subjective topic.

"Bellator Verge, forgive me for the presumption, but there is a subject in which I must ask your opinion."

He is asking me? Interesting, what could I possibly know that he does not?

"Alright. Then, what would you ask of me?"

"What do you think of this proverb? *Might creates right*. Please be truthful in this Bellator and a concrete answer is possible. Too many of those I spoke too gave non-committal answers I'm afraid."

Might creates... right? No, strength doesn't equal a direction. And I do not think he means write-ing Not unless... I see, he means the other kind.

"It is truth." You answer with a growl, the scar on your face pulsating with the ever-continuous pain. "Power is all that matters in this world if you wish to see your will carried out."

Only the strong can protect others from the strong. Agnimon... his ideals meant nothing compared to Count's power.

"A common outlook I must admit, but... what if it didn't have to be that way?" You glance at Wendimon sharply, but he just smiles again. "I do not believe that what you stated is true, or rather I firmly believe that this world can be changed to follow a different system. The rule of power always concludes in seeing the selfish desires of the wielder granted and whenever those with the strength to impose their will upon others fall, chaos follows. What this world deserves is a better system." The long-limbed digimon starts walking backward and throws his arm out to the side in a grand gesture. "A rule of law."

Rule of... law?

"I do not believe laws can rule anything. They... lack the mental capability?"

"... By Daemon. No." The taller champion mumbles into his hand with clear exasperation. You're confused as to why, but he continues on before you can ask about it. "That interpretation was not what I meant Bellator. What I speak of, what I propose is a set of rules spread out across the digital world that all must live by. A system to keep the chaos in check and prevent insensate violence from continuing in this endless cycle of brutality, death and rebirth. A system to keep the strong in check and keep wrongdoing's from taking place." You tilt your head at this words, first confused... then understanding dawns upon your mind. Instead of nodding along with his sentiment you shake your head.

"That is no different. Rules set upon any path must always be enforced and this is no different. To set up such a system such as that would require great power to bring about and keep aloft. That makes it no different."

"Alas, such a simple understand, but..." With that Wendimon sighs. "-not entirely incorrect. Spreading and implementing my vision would require power indeed, more than I currently posses. But one day it will lead to a better world, all I asks is that you keep my words in mind."

You:

=== Choose One:

[] Agree to keep his words in mind. A part of you would love to see the existence of this idea. Eventually it might be able to stop mon like Count from destroying villages.
[] Apologize and disagree. You can't ever see his idea ever bearing fruit. At least, not in this flawed world. And what's to stop this *rule of law* from being corrupted by the strong enforcing it?

===Authors Note: Originally this was supposed to have a second half with Rinkmon's part but this is all I'll be able to write tonight. Hopefully I'll be able to write the next bit tomorrow.

[X] Apologize and disagree. You can't ever see his idea ever bearing fruit. At least, not in this flawed world. And what's to stop this *rule of law* from being corrupted by the strong enforcing it?

the world is flawed and definitely not something 'rule of law' that can work on that scale without causing a lot of strife and injustice.
