[X] Beat & Wendimon

I'm almost certain Beat will evolve from this so talking to him should be nice. Also, mysterious Wendimon is mysterious.

"Come then! I am. A. Shield!" The lumbering turns into a full on sprint as you chase after the feral with one claw held high. Hearing your challenge the chimeric digimon changes course again, arms drawing back for another powerful scything below.

With only one arm available deflecting would be impossible and even without the speed debuff of frame Reinforce, there's no dodging something like this. But none of that matters.

You are going to block him.

Dinobeemon leaps at you, clearing the last meters in one tenth of a second. Your left arm rises up, set to let Ultimate impale himself on your three silver claws. The feral's claws rip finish their deadly arc, gleaming tips striking against your already damaged pauldrons-

『AVALON 』
01000111 01101111 01100100 00100000 01000010 01101100 01100101 01110011 01110011
*Tink*

-and then proceeds to harmlessly bounce off.

The monumental force of its momentum clashes against the silver tips of your war-gauntlet, easily enough to crush you in normal circumstances. And yet, you don't move. Dinobeemon impales itself on your straightened limb, the feral's humongous body crumpling against your upright form.
God Bless.
Thats Craniumon's move.

"Spirits..."

"Holy shit dude!"

"Not possible!"

"Interesting."

Perfection.
Impossible!

"Pid Speed And Holy Rod!"

The angel charges past you as a golden blur, his fiery staff held forward like a lance and rams it into the Ultimate's gaping chest wound. Holy flame explodes deep inside the feral digimon's body and a moment later, smoke begins to eek out of the Ultimat's neck injury. Despite the wound, Dinobeemon manages to smash his head down into your friends helmet, knocking him away from the rod and halting the burning assault.
Pit, as always, has amazing attack power and nothing for defense.
Thankfully that hit didn't go worse
The Ultimate raises his head up for another headbutt, but you stumble forward twist and bring up a claw to keep it from smashing into his prone form. Something pink flashes beside you and the next moment Wendimon is standing shoulder to shoulder with you, his arm moving in concert with your own.

"Uppercut!/Uppercut!"

*Thwack*
Synchronized uppercuts don't happen so easily. Wonder whats up with THAT.
The angel leaps up, kicks off your pauldron twists and draws one glowing arm back.

"Heaven's Knuckle!" Your friend wholly ignores his weapon, gliding past it so he can plunge his fist into the gaping injury. Light explodes from the feral's wounds finally dealing enough damage to force the titantic mon to drop to a knee. "Friends Beat and Sparks, now!"

"Spiking Finish!"
The insect digimon appears from over your targets collar and dives into the weakened flesh, his spikes and claws shredding what remains of the beasts neck.

"Burst!"
For a second the entire clearing lights up to painful degree as nine pillars of blue power, come into existence. Each pillar-like tendril weaves effortlessly around the Ultimate's body and come together to strike the necks underside.

The target manages one last shuddering wheeze before the combined attacks fully sever the connections between mind and body. The now deceased digimon slumps down, its body staying unnaturally solid even in the throes of death.
...and whats Sparks doing now? New spell?
Pit flashes Rinkmon a mocking grin, but the wommon just turns frowns and turns her head away. It may be nothing but... you think there's a touch of red on her face?

"I will go alert the experts."
With that the speedy digimon skates away, obviously not wanting to stick around for your squad's victory.
...slap slap kiss?
"Tch, prick." Sparks grumbles, his body singed but obviously not damaged to the point of immobility. You raise a brow at the Wizard, but he just shrugs. "Mine methods were different this time. Heh, still hurts like friggen' heck but. I have a question for thee."

A question?

"Thine spell, 'twas not Frame Reinforce. What 'twas that?"

Avalon.

You open your mouth to reply, then flinch.

Avalon? What is... how is it that I know this? What... is this?
Yggy interference. But not here. Intel leaks are a concern even if they don't stab us in the back.

[X] Tell him later once you've had time to think on it a bit. What happened here was somehow familiar.
[X] Sparks, Again: You didn't manage to get much out of him about the whole *reincarnation book* this might be a good chance to talk to him while seeing how he's been doing with Weddingmon. It could also be a chance to discuss the whole *Tree* thing. You have a feeling it might have something to do with what happened.

We need to tell about the probability of us being selected to becoming a Royal Knight, who is the question as Craniumon can become Alphamon later.

[X] Beat & Wendimon: Your Stingmon friend is having his *operation* soon as he called dibs on Dinobeemon's digicore. This could be your chance to see how he's doing while learning more about how the operation works. Plus Wendimon seems intent on hanging around the insect digimon as well and you still don't fully trust him... though that dual uppercut he helped with was nice.

I don't want to risk the gloaming overhearing this and cue Astamon freaking the fuck out, if he knows about it

Yes yes I know its kinda a way too far thought but I still don't want to risk it

And for Beat well been a while since we had something focused on him and I am interested on Wendimon

On the flip side, Galgomon might actually be able to tell us what's going on with us, given the Bulwark's seeming admiration for the Tree.
The lumbering turns into a full on sprint
Lumbering what?
tearing up the ground as desperately tries to claw you
as it desperately

Rinkmon is a typical Dual Blades player cocky and abrasive.

Also if I read it right she did the Levi slash.

....Come on Andromon as a potential Ultimate.

I mean I know I really don't like a RK as our Mega path.... but f leads to Andromon along the way I'd be plenty happy to make the trade.

I'll be working on the stat-ups soon.

[X] Tell him now, maybe he and the others can help figure this freaky thing out?

So... that's some seriously potent poison there. And once it's purged... oh man, Beat's going to be getting some insane statups. Though I'm really wondering if Mikemon and Weddingmon realize that Verge is a dual-core entity. I'm seeing massive gains across the board, since usual loading gains are 10%.

That's that GOOD SHIT! There is no HAXX like Royal Knight HAXX!!!

Avalon.

Huh... Interesting, so then did Verge actually say the invisitext incantation? If so, that opens up the interesting possibility of learning to do it at will...

Wow looks like the Gloaming sent a squad of monsters in anticipation of a squad of monsters.

Possible? They know Verge can slid digivolve down without him having to show it off or explain but that could have just been in the breifing they probably got about the squads capabilities... either that or the fact that Verge was a Drimogemon as a rookie of all stages is getting out.

Rinkmon and Wendimon are both crazy powerful. I wonder what Gloaming Lord they serve under. And i wonder even more if Wendimon isn't still using a slide evolution. He might even be the Lord in question. Worst case scenario, this is a Cherubimon (Virus) slumming it with his student. Maybe this is some sort of lesson for Rinkmon, about learning to see the merits of the other side in this war? Wendimon seems remarkably chill, and Rinkmon was very fanatical before this mission. The sort of righteous zealot that makes mistakes that get them killed.

I wouldn't go that far for Rinkmon. All she's really got going for her is speed. Without that, she's kind of screwed.

Huh... that is similar. Neat.

Verge didn't technically *say* it. But... hehe. Verge has the capability to use the hax move, being able to figure out how to use it on command would certainly be useful.
Yessssssssss!!!

That's that GOOD SHIT! There is no HAXX like Royal Knight HAXX!!!
Keke. Indeed. HAX if used properly can be pretty fun! This particular version also isn't super-duper OP given its limitations.
....Come on Andromon as a potential Ultimate.

I mean I know I really don't like a RK as our Mega path.... but f leads to Andromon along the way I'd be plenty happy to make the trade.
Sadly Verge doesn't currently have any machine data... though he does have a fair amount of metal empire data (metal-gilded bones)
I don't want to risk the gloaming overhearing this and cue Astamon freaking the fuck out, if he knows about it
Well, that's assuming he knows how to recognize the signs. Do remember that the Royal Knights as an organization haven't been present in this digital world yet.
...and whats Sparks doing now? New spell?
He actually uses it earlier in the fight to hit Dinobeemon's eyes. This was just him combining it with Burst to turn it up to 11.
God Bless.
Thats Craniumon's move.
Indeed. Hehe, I wonder why Verge would be able to use it. :p
Shy Sparks is honestly adorkable.
Keke. I'm glad you like him! I was a bit worried that people might not like his character shift, but it seems to be working out well.

I wouldn't go that far for Rinkmon. All she's really got going for her is speed. Without that, she's kind of screwed.

You are underestimating her. She's got better Strength and Endurance than Beat, who should be approaching the soft caps of his species by now. And Rinkmon are supposed to be wimps in the Strength department going by wikimon, so i'd wager she is a paragon of her species.

She also has some rather hefty Spirit and Special Stats, better than Verges. If she can cast (which we have admittedly seen nothing of, but the Gloaming might be hiding it) or has access to a special move that uses magic stats instead of physical stats for attacking she could have crazy DpS.

.

Neither has the Olympos XII, didn't stop Count from pinpointing a non-combattant on sight as someone he's willing to put exceptional effort into.

Just because they don't exist as an organization doesn't mean that there's no cheat sheets to say what can exist and when are around.

Important thing to remember about Rinkmon is that it's entirely possible that she was a strong Champion before getting the Digimental/Digiegg to armor evolve to her current form.

I'd like to point out that Count took Luna because he didn't recognize her species, which made her an exceptionally valuable piece for his collection:

"Mmm. That does it. In all my years I have never seen a specimen like this before..." Vamdemon rather happily muses. You whirl about, expecting him to grab you any second... And are surprised as he stands over your sniffling little sister and reaches out for her. "You'll be the star piece of my collection!" He jubilantly declares, ignoring the small black digimon nibbling ineffectually at his ankles.

Uniqueness has great value to collectors like him.

So... three seconds of absolute, total, fuck-you tier invulnerability, with the caveat that we can't move while it's active. Yeah, that's got some potential. Can't wait until we can do it at will later down the line.
