Rumor Mill Turn 43
Rumors:

New Wave Of Construction - The Tessen Speaker
Several new building projects have started appearing all around Tessen, as the ICLB has approved new subsidies, most focused on creating new habitation areas and merchant quarters. While this will undoubtedly relieve the ever-present lack of space within cities and towns, several frontier companies have been heard grumbling about these endeavors. Their livelihoods depend on the outflow of people from those very same cities and towns after all! But as needed as those grants are, it will take years before regular citizens can feel any effect, the required excavations, building, and planning time, together with the safety-inspections to prevent anything circumventing the defensive arrays of those towns and cities taking advantage. Several prominent architects and engineers have raised their voices... (Read more on pages 26 and 27.)

The Nine Tribe Assembly (49) - Rags, Rumors, And Rants
It seems that while the Tribal's mercantile spirits have continued unabated, their diplomatic ones have atrophied under the harsh conditions of the Wastes, where diplomacy is often a by-word for violence. However, at least some sense has been bashed into the heads of even the most stubborn, as even a catastrophic breakdown of cooperation would not result in all Tribes leaving in different directions as they currently are. Marriages and friendships have resulted in a moderate re-arranging of the surviving populace, ensuring that no Tribe will have to face the Waste's understrength. Good for them, better for those merchants who are now making an absolute killing selling needed foods, tools, materials, and odd luxury, while buying rare herbs, medicines, plants, seeds, minerals, crafts, expertise, and stories. (Read more on pages 17 to 21.)

Raids Continue Unabated, Cult Activity Suggested - The Truthful Observers.
Despite the recent drive by the Adventurer's Guild to find and kill the bandits attacking outlying villages and settlements, despite the increased attention and priority leveled against the Black Claws destroying the fortunes and livelihoods of Imperial Citizen's, despite the Chapter of The Blue Lance joining the hunt, results are almost non-existent. Yes, dozens of the degenerate traitors have been found and several of their dens razed. Yet those interrogated and subsequently executed, bandits have failed to provide information on their leaders, primary hideouts, or overall strength. Adding to the growing frustration within the populace are rumors of the Black Claws growing cruelty and madness, as scenes of slaughter and carnage become the norm after one of their raids. Worst of all, InSec has started to pay attention to the proceedings, all but guaranteeing either a dangerous Cult, like the Rose or Knochentänzer, or something old, and therefore worse, being behind the rise of the bandit's fortunes. A spokesperson for the guards... (Read all about it on pages 1-9!)

Internal Report:

TOP-03 Information
It took some time and more than a bit of finagling with some pricey equipment, but we have concluded that pressing [Y] on the computer in TOP-03 will send a signal towards the Wall, the Bunker specifically. We still have no idea what it will do, if anything, but that should either be cleared within the following season or remain a mystery forever.

Spy-Network:

The Military is recruiting to fill the guard's ranks while actively offering contracts to subjugate and suppress various bandit gangs within Tessen popping up out of the dunes. They are stepping up in their suppression efforts after the Black Claws have subsumed all independent bandit gangs remaining in and around Tessen. Of concern to them is the news that the Black Claws are killing, seemingly ritually, everybody they come across, even when it would be detrimental to their efforts.

The Church Of Eden is currently in high turmoil, as various letters and messengers are racing in and out of Tessen and the Green Dunes, with a squad of Heralds appearing yesterday. Nothing good can come of this.

The Criminal Organizations operate as expected now, though from what you can glean, the Black Claws are working outside the structure of all others. They have started trying to figure out where they are staging their raids, as the Black Claws are hurting their businesses.

The Common People in the cities and towns seem to be more amused and intrigued by the news of the bandits while the villagers are expanding their militias training.

The Mutated are continuing their lives.

oh no, that's going to be either very good or really really bad.

i mean is pretty sure it will activate the content of the bunker

so that would mean open gates, but activated security measures too
and maybe some new apocaliptic weapon

i rather just open the gates the good ol way
With lots and lots of high grade explosive material? Cause that bunker makes me nervous for many reasons.

Anything could be in there, and I mean anything.

We really should push the button already, I don't want it's function to remain a mystery forever, especially if it does something good.

According to google translate, we got a book by the title "Dreams forever" or maybe "to dream forever". That could be important due to all the eldritch stuff or be completely useless.

That wasn't too bad. I can't find Gargoyles in the Bestiary, though. But looking into the Bestiary reminded me that Nifians are a thing. They could be useful, due to the number of Mutated that live inside and around the Tree.

Nearly 300 Materials. I guess we could get a steam engine and the chains for the DoD next Turn.

I wonder if we could sell some Sandcrete, with all those construction projects going on.

One more Turn to sell Artefacts. And now that I think about it, maybe we could try to get some untranslated books from them? Bit of a gamble but shouldn't be too expensive.

Hmm, we do have an open Military Action and could send the Unbroken. The other units would lack the mobility or firepower required, I think.

It's either opening the doors or activating the self-destruction mechanism. That or it's the light switch.:V

What position exactly is a Herald in the COE? They didn't get mentioned until now.
