Huh, for some reason that tag didn't work. Anyway, we should have enough Materials. If you want karmaoa I could just edit in a commercial crossbow into the current plan, so you don't have to make your own. Provided we have enough materials to do that.
Our budget is 45.9 Materials so it should be possible. Maybe the lowered DC won't matter, but we know there is crossbow tech beyond what 1 success gets us and if paying 0.7 Materials is enough to make it more likely to get that... *shrug*Huh? I thought the costs are:
25 Materials for the Merchants
6 Materials for the 'Consensual'
3 Materials for Infiltrate
6 Materials for Suffer Their Arrogance
2 Materials for War Lessons
=42 Materials
Not at the current tier you are using. I'll add another action to clarify the different tiers to diplomacy.*shrugs* use the remaining 1 that I have on Steam. Does infiltration count as a harmful action
Possibly, we don't know
We may have some influence here though. Nothing major, but we have PD and are going to influence the way PD is viewed by Vanar-Feer. They have GOT to be questioning how far the problem extends into clan Feer's treatment of machine minds. I suspect some members of clan Vanar are going to be looking closely at PD and wondering if PD is in fact the normal one and the clan Feer machine minds are the one's that have been twisted.
I... am not sure what you are asking? If you are asking if there are any earth nations (like current day new zealand), then no. The quest plays on Calynth, a desert/savanna world with jungles around the equator, a massive piece of dead land (as in: there is no life there) on the northpole, and a water desert at the southpole. It is quite evidently not earth, with a not earth history. So how damage the lands of earth are like are there some the are that same or are they made contact with their destination to other lands?
A steam engine.
Oh so we're not on earth well how is there humans here are we colonizers and the mutant being the natives of this world?I... am not sure what you are asking? There is no evidence to suggest that humanity didn't originate on Calynth. Then again, most recorded history tends to stop about 2.600 years ago in The Silent Age.Oh so we're not on earth well how is there humans here are we colonizers and the mutant being the natives of this world?
That was a horrible roll. PD helps here but still, that was pretty close.-[X][Learning] Crystal Shard Unlocked - (???/???/???) - (2/3 Successes)
--[X] PD
Needed: 60/100/140 for 1/2/3 Successes, Rolled: 53+15 = 68
+1 Auto-Success
+1 Success.
The highest possible number of successes. Now, let's see how close we get to military-grade weapons.-[X][Learning] Get To The Point (Weapons/Mechanics) - (3/1 Success)
--[X] Destroyed Crossbow
Needed: 10/25/40% for 1/2/3 Successes, Rolled: 51+20 = 71

Success!
The expedition also finished. So should we scout a new location next turn, another expedition, or try to crack the bunker?-[X][Archeology] Prepare an Expedition - (SO-01) - (2 Turns) - (House Mirn support: Y) - (2/2 Turns Complete)
+1 Turn of Progress.
Success!
Another horrible roll. The only reason we succeeded was the huge number of Artefacts used. At least this should make the steam engine contest more interesting.-[X][Martyris] Too Much To Do - (Building up Steam) - (8/8 Successes)
--[X] 6FF, SC, Modular Bridge, Soldering Kit, Rusted Cogs, Pulley System, Fuel Nozzle
Needed: 81/106/131% for 1/2/3 Successes, Rolled: 22+119 = 141
+3 Successes.
Success!
A great roll but the damage roll...-[X][Martyris] Too Much To Do - (Kick 'Em While They're Down!)
--[X] 6FF
Needed: 70 Rolled: 99+41 = 140

COE Damage: 105
And we get another scientist. Useful for the Tree projects but we will have to wait for a few turns before we can start training the next one.-[X] Stupendously Scholastic Scholars of Science - (1 Free Action)
--[X] Suffer Their Arrogance - (4/4 Turns Complete)
+1 Turn of Progress.
Success!
I wonder if they have some pre-Collapse technology to prevent mutation or if the declaration upon the sixth birthday is an old tradition from before they got the possibility to check earlier, and now anyone that wouldn't be seen as pure suffers an accident, before their sixth birthday.A New Daugther To The Imperial Family Has Been Born!
It is with great joy and pride that another child is added to the Imperial Family this month! Young Akenehi is the seventh child of the Emperor, his fourth daughter. And while another child always causes celebration, Akenehi has shown no outward signs of Mutation, meaning that if she is declared pure upon her sixth birthday, she will be the 100th Imperial Member in succession without Mutations! Let us pray that this will come to pass!
The fun part is going to be modifying our blueprints so they can be used for different applications. The steam engine to power a workshop has to be different from one that drives a car or a train.Pilgrims Finish Steam Engine
With the same energy they entered with, the Pilgrims have finished their prototype of a Steam Engine, causing quite the stir among the learned, with the Stupendously Scholastic Scholars of Science showing a great interest in the, frankly, intimidating design. Though they mostly talked about highly scientific terms, the Pilgrim-Engine is supposedly modular, allowing easier repair and additions, an innovative feed-system, and many other minor things that no average person can even guess at their function. Well, at least they have sent a model and the blueprints to the contest-caravan with that of the 4S, to be transported and judged within the Capital. I wonder who will win?
Conservatives, huh? This might get a reaction out of the COE.Pilgrim Brothel?
The Pilgrims have had some negative attention from the more conservatives in the past due to their decision to allow prostitution within their ranks. Now, it seems, they have decided to go a step beyond merely allowing it. The Brothel Consensual is slated to open within the next two months, opening a place where 'those whose labor is sex can work in peace. You sell your time and body for money too; their way is not that much different than that.' Well, I, for one, am curious on how exactly they plan to run and operate that Brothel, as they have already stated that they won't be charging the prostitutes—eh, scientifically speaking, of course!
Ouch, one of the biggest Forge-Clans being thrown into chaos like that.Happenings with the Vanar-Feer
It seems that the revelation of the Awake Machine-Minds grudge and the past Feer's attempt on her life (which they say was due to faulty code and zealot young trying to free her from an old nation) has caused some friction between the two Clans. What happens now is being played very close to their chests, but whispers speak of every possibility, from mere fines and repayment to PD to a complete annulment of their Contract and Alliance. Well, we have to wait and see what happens.
It's probably because Internal Security found out about the whole thing and bluntly talked with them about it. No point in keeping a secret if the Empire already knows about it.The Mystery lifted?
It seems that after more than a year of leaving us all in the dark, the Broken Ax merchants have now decided to at least give hints on what is happening as they hire mercenaries en masse. Dozens of companies have been hired, mostly those with Knights or Lizards, along with over a hundred Strenght-Mutated Adventurers. Though uneasy about the prospect of going into the Wastes, the mercenaries have nonetheless answered the call to arms after being paid, marching with song and cadence on their lips to whatever has the Broken Ax so spooked. Something which varies from contract to contract, from rampaging Mutated, to a Mutant Army, all the way to Tribe warfare against enemies against their coalition. The only thing that could be pressed out of the recruiters was that there have already been heavy casualties among one of the nine tribes involved.
On one hand 4S has the expertise but on the other we used a lost tech engine and a bunch of rare artifacts. But for real, you'll get informed about whether you won the contest or lost in turn 36.
