Crystalwatcher's Magical Girl Quest!

Bonus points on the fact Dream Heart is dead as well.
So only Wild Heart, Fable Heart, and Raging Heart left?
What happened to the Dream?

She jerks a thumb over her shoulder at the decomposing crystal. "This thing. I was only fused with it for a few moments before I managed to separate but while I was still inside of it... well..." Here she looks confused. "It was strange. Like my perception was warped in some way. Like instead of seeing via light, I was seeing through interactions between people. It was strange."
Sooo, does it mean we can get "relationship-o-vision" or something? And would that help with the possible recovery of Goddesses or not?

Mission is within the Ataraxia Exclusion Zone, no roll check for Unified Darkness strike team.
Oh thank god!

Sounds like an insane clusterfuck if these two happen at the same time :V
See - possible combatants. Maidens of the Apocalypse, WEAPONs of Gaia. It's not a mission against Unified Darkness. No kill teams.

Are we discounting Dodge and assuming the attack actually hits? If so off the top of my head maybe... five? people could facetank that.
...I'm actually surprised Dodge is on the menu for this one. You'd think AOE from the damage it has, would preclude it.

-[X] Flight Level 30 (570 EXP)

No, we aren't purchasing extra firepower right now. We do not need it. Not on this mission.
I am however partial to getting us up to the "standard for Three Drives" flight speed.

AND WHY, oh why does Sega still procrastinate on getting her INDESTRUCTIBLE FRAME and making me worry less about her?!

JC can go higher, she just didn't go beyond getting enough Rain of Light activation for her other abilities.
I don't think that matters. With TIG we get 2,359,722,640 damage. We don't know what No Mercy does but we know what Burst Stream of Obliteration does:
Burst Stream of Obliteration
-If The End is used after five triggers of Rain of Light, double all Rain of Light bonuses and triple Total Damage output for the spell. Reset The Maw of Destruction.

JC's Maw of Oblivion had a 663,135 Base Damage, 10x Rain of Light @ 663,135 Damage, 50x Rain of Light at 7,597 Damage, 5,000 Divine Power Damage, and a 10x Core Boost multiplier at the end. Assuming the double Rain of Light bonus is added on at the end gives:
((663,135 + 666 + 10 * 663,135 + 50 * 7,597 + 5,000) * 10 + 2 * (10 * 663,135 + 50 * 7,597)) * 3 = 272,467,230

Some fiddling around with that formula reveals that a 4x multiplier puts the damage in the right ballpark. That probably isn't what No Mercy does but I figure it's close enough.

So assuming additional Rain of Lights are the +7,597 rather then the larger kind each additional Rain of Light adds 1,093,968 damage and since she probably add a full ten each time that is +10,939,680 damage per addition.

To make up the difference of 1,353,988,120 damage though would take 117 additional ten sets of Rain of Light. Making to half our damage is more reasonable only requiring 9 additional ten sets. That is still requires tripling Rain of Lights she put on the weapon in the update.

I think it's note worthy that she put on 5 stacks of Rain of Light since that is how many APT Uni has. Assuming that is in fact relevant then reaching half our TIG Damage would require 2.8 Turns of charging and actually exceeding our damage, by a tiny amount, would require 24.4 Turns of charging.

So while theoretically Uni could eventually top us out in practice it's not really likely with everyone's current stats.

hnnng!
my feels... the feelsbringer has slain me!

then the feeling of dread brought me back.

goddamn this chapter had feels and some encounters with surprisingly rude MG's...
This means! Omake's about those rude MG's so Ana gets to know them despite not properly meeting them!
:D

and I don't know what to vote for, candybaskets!

yes I used candybaskets as a swear word.

Huh, thank you, you just made me notice a mistake I made in the calculations. @Crystalwatcher, the total end damage for Maw of Oblivion should be 1,762,944,120, not 1,005,734,520. I am... unsure what happened. I think I forgot to double The Ends Rain of Light bonus?

Also, double-checking, Nepgear's total end damage should be 1,114,325,320, not 1,179,861,320. I think I added Supremacy Zone twice?

Also, much like how TIG didn't trigger for Nepgear, HtH didn't trigger for JC, which would double that to 3,525,888,240. So really, it's 3,525,888,240 versus 2,228,650,640.

Giggling, you throw out a hand and do a little twirl.
It's the least you could do for her memory.
"Kneel in the Darkness, and Burn in the Light! I am Magical Girl Solid Core!" A moment of light, and you're transformed as well. The light show doesn't pass without notice either as the sparring girls off to the side come to a stop and Aquila pauses in her instruction. "So, what first?"

Uni comes to a rest slightly above were Rev and Sega fired off their own spells, centered over the new crater. "Core Purge!" Her black 'armor' shatters, making way for her internal light to bathe the surroundings brighter than either of your sisters had been. From there, she adjusts her grip on the massive cannon she calls a weapon, and fires randomly into the ground, spinning it up to it's theoretical maximum before raising the maw of the destroyer towards the distance.

You blink as something in the air changes. A thrumming sensation that works its way down to your bones.
BEAT BEAT
"Hmm? Anyone else feel that?" You're not sure who asks this. Their voice feeling distant, as if down a long hallway. Uni's light filling the air. A flicker of green and blonde out of the corner of your eye.
BEAT BEAT
Power surges through her form, and suddenly everything else feels insignificant.

You blink as Uni's voice is drowned out by fact. A resolution of reality super-imposed over merely mortal perception. Powered directly from the Core, the secondary gun fires for the first time since [PEACE] and [WAR] were wounded. Streamers of Light fill the sky, and wherever they touch [PEACE] descends upon their victim.

The peace of nothingness. To not exist in the first place so conflict cannot find you.

Rock, shrub, and dirt vanish beneath the onslaught of no sound. There is no roar, no cry of defiance as [PEACE] descends. It is simply the resolution of something already set in motion. A rewrite of the universe before you to a new state of being.

The 'field' is no longer there. What is left are lines carved out of the World's flesh to mirror-perfection. An echoing stillness as what has transpired is taken in by those who witnessed it. A silence broken as the tool of destruction hits the ground. You snap back to yourself as Rev rushes past you to her trembling sister through sheer reflex. Gathering up the spooked girl in her arms as everyone else starts to shake themselves back to their senses.

You hold the Purifier Beam up to the sky and feel your power rush to it.

It comes again. That feeling of presence that suffocates the world.

Of your two spells, one has always been with you since the beginning. The one you used to slay many of your earliest foes.

You're not sure what compels you to call upon it, but you do. Magic hones itself into the finest of blades. A perfected edge fit to cleave apart the World. Energy traces along your form much like it had Uni's, you call out the name;

Hora~ I found the invisitext. Not that there is really too much of consequence this update.

Anyway, now that is all figured out, anyone else have anything to add?
my first attempt to respond ended up rather introspective and a few times longer than it really needed to be so screw it, short and sweet it is.

I've nothing to say as far as whether it was well written or not, but my mood followed a similar path to that of Anastasia's there.
The warm feeling of happiness that has stuck with you all morning is gone now. A new, familiar, cold feeling curling in your gut.
I went from pretty cheerful to tearing up there.

Shilling for Splitting up.

Do we really want White Knight to be standing next to Solid Core when things go Horribly Wrong™? She's fast when transformed, as is Solid Core, so almost any encounter will have White Knight arrive quickly. And I hope we've got our radios/walky-talkies ready to keep in touch.

Strolling through gives the opportunity to chat, but I'd rather risk Nepgear running into something face-first a bit ahead of other party members.

Well, for me it was mostly this:

Does Solid Drive even know what Red Knight looks like? Either transformed or not?

I mean, the best guess we can make as quest players is call her Saberface Nero, but it's not at all guaranteed. AND I seem to recall there was a Magical Girl with that image, that had "ignore base damage of all attacks" as her Magical Girl haxx. Oh right, Magical Girl Rose Encore.

I am evil man, I want Nep try to shield remaining Heart and then tank attack, but get blasted into and through Heart. You know, to get three for three. Kinda.

I was originally going to post about the attack itself going through Ana, but then I re-read your post and realized you meant Ana herself would be going through Heart like a hot knife through butter.

Want her to pop up wearing her in her hair too?
Then all you'd need is Wild Heart for the full set.

Can we please not plan to kill our allies, it's one thing to do it for power its another to do it for memes.
@Crystalwatcher - How loosely defined is the "killed by Nepgear" requirement on Gehaburn and Wail of Madness? I ask because now that SpeckofStardust has mentioned it I'm curious if Nepgear being smashed through someone counts as killing them. Or what about the reverse; if Nepgear blasts someone so hard they crash into one of her friends and kills that friend does it still count as Nepgear doing the killing?

These are the important questions of our time.

Well, this joke went weird places.

Anyway, for Gehaburn to trigger, the target's death has to be directly caused by Nepgear within a one degree of separation. Meaning she either has to land the killing blow with her own body, or the killing blow is a direct result of her actions. Like kicking a rock and sending it through someone's head.

What if someone else hits Nepgear really hard (like what Sixth Heaven did) and that causes Nepgear's body to crash into someone and kill them?

Is that "land the killing blow with her own body"?
