Crystalwatcher's Magical Girl Quest!

Lets Start A Riot!
Level 20
Base Damage: Target's Damage
Magic Modifier: 2
Affinity: Song | Battle
Ability: Boost-All | Boost-By-Modifier

so if I'm reading this right, this boosts the stats of her allies by 2, every time she casts it right? so does it double there base stats or the current stats when she casts it again? ie does something with 200 whatever go to 400 whatever or 800 whatever after 2 casts?

It increases the damage of the one effected by a minimum of double when it hits them.

For example: she casts it and rolls a 1:

Guy with 1500 damage gains another 1500 added to his damage.

She casts it and rolls a 2:

Same guy with 1500 damage, instead gets 3000 boost.

The first boost will have to wear off so the second one can take effect though.

Urgh. Overwhelming Presence, Negative Space and Scream for Me. Time to spend some XP and get our stuff to Lvl 17.
It's also worth noting that some of Nepgear's Affinities and Sam's buffs make her do 25% CURRENT health damage each turn  :o
move master than the attack to dodge it
faster
When White Soul takes damage, and equal amount of damage is caused to her opponent.

...........Does her weapon's Spell Boost ability apply to that Modifier Roll...............?

So....do we even want to try to get a non-lethal KO on White Soul, or is she too insane to have any hope of recovery

Also, it's worth noting that this wording means that Echo of Peace functions at full power against White Soul's recoil damage ability.

oh that's way less broken than I thought it was. we're still turbo screwed if she is backing up white soul but even with a 200% damage boost the mooks we've seen on this mission so far are not that threatening.

Ok, so I'm thinking we use our Core Purge to get rid of Grey's Seal, then let Red kill White Soul with her spell. Any objections?
I object.

I need to see Sega stab one of her katanas through White Soul, and then No Sell the recoil via Echo of Peace + Adamantium Frame :V

Also, Adamantium Frame is actually better than Indestructible Core here, because that Overwhelming Presence only affects Super Abilities.
This is horrifying.

Everyone thinks that Core Connection is absurdly bullshit? This makes Core Connection look like child's play!
:o

[X] Upgrade Starshine to level 20 (700 XP)
[X] Upgrade Celestial Severance to level 20 (700 XP)

This allows us to get past Scream for Me. While I'm not sure about CS, Starshine would help us clear the mooks, especially if they got buffed by Grey Champion.

We should probably wait on that, since mid upgrade on Purifier Beam is liable to cause a ton of collateral damage. Overall, we shouldnt upgrade it over Lv 20 at all, since we dont have sufficiently training time to control it for intercept use if we level it over 20. Of course, that might change once we get a spell that can intercept, but until then, we need to be able to control Purifier Beam.

We also need to let everyone know in advance about our word of death, since as an AoE conceptual attack we might need to use it against White Soul.

I'm also a bit worried about that 'shapeshift' affinity.

Let's also not forget that we might need to fight Juggernaut Drive at the same time as one of them.

.............I don't want to think about what kind of damage numbers Juggernaut would be able to put out while affected by Gray Champion's buff................
That sounds like the kind of thing with enough raw damage behind it that Gaia would feel pain from it. Yes, even without a variant of Collateral Damage.

No. No. A thousand times no. Celestial Severance is a maybe, at best. We should just sit back and either use Core Purge or let Red Rose take care of White Soul.

Narratively speaking, even though its highly suboptimal, I kinda want to see a result of "Red Rose gets injured in the fight with Gray Champion (possibly + Juggernaut Drive), and then Nepgear debuts Progenitor Frame against White Soul".

Oh, yeah, that reminds me. How does that "halved effect for Super Abilities" thing work on things that are absolute, such as the "survive a lethal attack" effect of Indestructible Core and the 'auto-Intercept' effect of Supremacy Zone?
Watching the world burn does sound like fun.
Well, part of it is that the "holy fuck, this new girl just defeated White Soul!" news does wonders for Nepgear's reputation, which is the key to getting our own Overwhelming Presence :V
