Crystalwatcher's Magical Girl Quest!

Also, @crystalwatcher can Juggernaut's spell that bypasses Indestructible Core also bypass the magic immunity of Michael and Gabriel?
That spell doesn't bypass Indestructible Core.

Juggernaut got her reputation due to dishing out damage on such an immense scale, combined with a large number of attacks per turn, a situational bonus to damage and a spell that insta-kills most enemies. She doesn't need conceptual bullshit when she can hit you so hard, anything short of Red Rose, San or Nepgear dies instantly, and even those tend to do so in a turn or two.

I'll go ahead and edit that into my plan then. Though just to make sure, Total Lockdown completely negates any abilities that could be used to escape, yes? Does this include the ability to attack or cast spells?
Yes.

Shapeshifting, Teleport, Fluidic Forms, just breaking the fucking chains, so on.

Chains of the Earth cannot be escaped if it catches you unless an outside force breaks them, Rei lets you go, or Rei dies.

Wait, she also has a large number of attacks per turn?

She has to have some kind of weakness, since as you described her, she's basically better than both of the other Drives combined.

I thought she was the Mighty Glacier of the Drives, few attacks, but ones that flatten all but a bare handful of people in the setting. You're describing her as what amounts to being a lightning bruiser who moves fast and hits hard--in a setting where battles amount to being rocket tag to begin with.

Unless she has lots of attacks, but her actual movement speed is slow enough that she's vulnerable to kiting.

Oh yeah I just noticed. Congrats crystalwatcher! We've reached 500 Pages and Nepgear only died once! I bet you have a warm and fuzzy feeling in your chest from how well we've done up to now.

Ok, my plan has been updated to have Rei capture any hostile Magical Girls with Chains of the Earth. If they have Control Seals ad didn't work for the Unified Darkness, they get the Seals removed by Gabriel's Presence of Light. If they don't have Control Seals or worked for the Unified Darkness in the past, they either get decapitation or death.

When Juggernaut Drive hits, she hits. And everything feels it.

When she takes a hit... she kinda pops like a soap bubble.

More like slight feeling of failure. Intended for more deaths by now.

She's the fastest of them without Drive Synchronization, 2nd fastest with it in play.

She's the Glass Cannon/Fragile Speedster build, and has only one spell.

Huh.

So, she's at a big disadvantage against people who either go first, can prevent her from going, or can autoparry her alpha strike.

Unfortunately, this makes actually retrieving her without killing her outright very, very difficult--since as you described her, she's squishier than the Command Seal controlling her.

Basically, the only way we have a chance at retrieving her is revealing Core Purge in a clash against her. Because they'll never let her within 50 meters of Ana afterwards.

Fuck.

So, the question then is. "Which theatre gets the Juggernaut Drive Surprise." It almost certainly won't be the outside, because unless Rei gets sneak attacked, she's just going to hit Chains of the Earth, and unless she has a perfect "Fuck you, you don't get to stop me from moving" effect that trumps Total Lockdown, she's done.

In other words, JD showing up is likely going to be against the Strike Team--as long as Ana hasn't played the Core Purge card up until that point. If she had, they'll probably just write it off rather than risking the only remaining Divinity-affinity that isn't looseley aligned with the UL.

Interrogation, is what I meant in my last post. They either get interrogation or decapitation. Granted, if the Unified Light doesn't do anything like that, then I could remove the interrogation option.

There's actually a way of freeing her from the Control Seal that you seem to have missed: Presence of Light. We know from the fight against Sega that PoL can damage Control Seals while healing the Girls they're attached to, so all we have to do is have James and Gabriel hold her down long enough to let Rei hit her with Chains of the Earth, then find the Command Seal and let it burn.
well......

Yes?
Holy crap. How the hell did she survive as long as she did?

Huh? Doesn't she have something that scales its damage in such a way that it can bypass the "survive at 1 health" effect of IC?

Could you also tell Rei to apply the "target seals but not girls" clause to her Overwhelming Presence?

Yes?

That is incredibly irritating to beat outside of a Core Purge.

We can't even use Gabriel for it, because the first tick of Presence of Light will kill her thanks to Hostile Divinity Effect. Unless she's immediately identified as a friendly.

Fucking James will kill her with his autoparry.

Good god, they're just going to use her as a fire and retrieve missile, aren't they?

I don't see how? Red has to have a largish piece of someone to revive them and it has to be from After they've died. If JD died here, we would cremate the body, and UD is down Divine MG. So I think she's going to be played very close to the chest and close Red so she can revive her on site.

Hmm, that being said, it does mean that they won't deploy JD against GG because she would fucking tie instantly from the Overwheming Presence. Unless she managed to avoid attention long enough to get a sneak attack in. So probably just leaving an overwatch there who won't risk missing her will mean they won't use her there.

If James can reduce and focus his damage, he might be able to just cut off her arms. She might survive that, and would be a mostly non issue afterwords.

Yeah then, James, Gabriel, and Lucky Star in the outside, with GG suggested to Chains of the Earth any MGs that show up long enough to have the Seal removed, everyone else inside while Samael spams Shell on everyone to help harden against those AoEs, then roids himself up and spams Purges on the Control Seals?
