Crystalwatcher's Magical Girl Quest!

The heart stab is and expression of Cu's use of it, specifically. Why on earth would Scath have it?
Nasu bullshit about either Older = Better / Original.

Just like how everything humanity creates gets a version of it added to Gilgamesh's treasury since it 'must' have come from somewhere, you could make a case that if Cu did it with Gae Bolg, Scathach must have taught him how.

I'm not saying it's super reasonable, just that it's the kind of bullshit Nasu pulls.

I honestly think we should wait to get Purifier Beam Level 20 until after we've trained ourself into fixing our collateral damage issues. We've already accidently killed one friend, how about we try not to make it two?

We need to beg Rei for some lessons on "how do I not accidentally things with all this ridiculous power?"

...........Unless wanting to not accidentally things is the reason why Rei's weapon is so low level...........

Hm....Thanks for the heads up. In that case I vote we wait for a day, train to get the Purifier beam undercontrol, and then head to the Hyper Gate with the JT. No way am I going to let them miss out on all that XP. But hey, Trauma powers Divine MG's like nobody business, so Uni probably got a nice extra chunk of XP from this.

That'll be depending on what missions we get for me. We may want to dive back in immediately.

When it comes to choosing missions:

I want to let you all know this now. While some Missions are able to be put off for a time, others wont be. When trying to decide whether or not you're going to go with one mission or a different one, remember to take into account the Characters listed under Known Allies and Confirmed Enemies. If you see a character you'd like to see survive, then use what you know about them to judge how well they'd do against what you know about the Enemies you'll know will show up.

If you don't think they'll stand any real chance, then try to vote for that option. Otherwise, trust them not to die.

But even then, also remember to take into account what the descriptions and briefing says. Then, ask your self "What does this get us? What are the risks posed if we don't do it?" Every mission option has a chance of going bad if you don't take it. Operation Starborn? If you guys hadn't taken it, then Uni would have been injured by the Soul Reavers, and caused Rev to retreat from the battlefield with her, leaving everyone else to fend for themselves when Sixth Heaven showed up. Leading to the two Messengers being lost, and M.E.C.A. Force dying painfully. Meaning the Counter Force wouldn't of had been able to bring as many nukes to bear when the Offensive happens.

So take all this into account next voting period.

The Update said:

Messenger 2: Undamaged and Operational. Available for Operation: Answerer.

Security Detachment: Deceased.
Magical Girl M.E.C.A. Force: Uninjured. Stress has rendered her unavailable for the next mission.
Judgement Core: Uninjured. Stress has rendered her unavailable for the next mission.
Judgement Drive: Uninjured. Currently caring for Judgement Core, availability dependent on Judgement Core.

Team GEAR: Unscathed. Ready for another mission.
Solid Drive: Uninjured. Slightly stressed, but available for another mission.

Operation: Answerer will have all three Messenger Platforms available for the Offensive. Each Clash, the Counter Force will have 3d10 Nuclear Strikes available. Tactic: Glass Everything will be available.

"They call them the Ultimate Equalizer. Their Fragarach. Named after the gouging sword of some War God, a weapon that has no other in the Local Dimensional Cluster. The first time one was seen in action, was when That Demon Lord invaded their city called "Rome". We all remember that star given birth upon that day. 'Inefficient' they call them. How can something that is called 'ineffecient' be enough to kill a god? I fear ever seeing the weapon's strongest form."
-Archangel Gabriel, 'The Moment of Fury'

Operation Starborn: Total Success.

So, the security force just melted apparently.

Shame, especially since the enemy's lost nothing of any real importance given how they can just respawn Sixth Heaven again.

On the upside, we're completely unscathed, and we're not even stressed either. Hopefully we have time to hit another target before everything explodes in our face thanks to the enemy always having superior numbers and almost always having the initative.

Neat! Any chance we could see a Results Screen for Canned Whoopass? (Yes, I'm mainly asking to see how one of my biggest teams did. I've put a lot of work into making viable characters for them!)

The real problem comes when we we end up fighting Juggernaut Drive, she basically hard-counters us.

Isn't she actually completely capable of one-shotting us, Indestructable Core or no?

Well, it's been mentioned that Goddess Red would need a piece of her remains after Sixth Heaven died a second time. So it wouldn't exactly be trivial to do so. Now that the Counter Force knows powerful assets are being resurrected by Red you can bet that anything left of the bitch is going to be collected and tossed into the darkest hole they can find. I suggest the Marianas Trench. :V

Hey crystalwatcher when you post Mission Selections again, and you list the Known Allies and Enemies, could you link them to their character pages? That way we know exactly what we are dealing with? Cause frankly I have no clue who is who, and what they can do, with how many OC MG's there are now.

As has been said, Red will need a sufficiently big piece of Sixth Heaven's body in order to rez her, and given the fact that the winning plan had us looking for any pieces of her that we could find, AND the sheer amount of damage The End was packing, it's likely that the Unified Darkness won't be able to find anything that fits that criteria.

Gabriel would probably be the MVP again against Juggernaut. Spell damage immunity is <3 at high level combat.

Juggernaut being Divine affinity does mean that Nepgear is no longer immune to instant death attacks from Juggernaut against her thought, and we know that in addition to the unstoppable spear, she also has the AoE Gae Bolg, so having a variant of Red Rose's Sudden Death is likely.

OTOH, Sixth Heaven showed that Core Connected individuals share Nepgear's immunity to instant death attacks from non Divine sources.

No, Juggernaut Drive completely ignores our damage resistance with her big nuke, and our actual health is complete shit.

Her whole gimmick is being the unstoppable force--and while we are indeed the immovable object, this is a setting where offense has decisively trumped defense, and thus, she wins and we explode, killing everyone in the blast radius.

Only way to survive Juggernaut Drive coming after us is to not actually enter her killzone.

The only upside I see is that I don't see her being faster than Judgement Drive--who was all about being the GOTTAGOFAST of the trio. If we can get within spitting range of Judgement Drive's speed, and assuming she doesn't have any infinite range murder stroke (This is entirely possible), then we might be able to kite her.

Maybe.

But Juggernaut Drive is the unstoppable force, this means you don't beat it by being the immovable object, you beat it by not being there to recieve it. I suspect Judgement Drive is her soft-counter of the original trio, just like she soft-counters Solid Drive, and Solid Drive probably soft-counters Judgement Drive.

Thought Juggernaut's Unstoppable Spear is unlikely to be useful against Nepgear. Dealing Target Health against her is kinda useless as Nepgear's survivability comes from her unnegatable 99% ICore damage reduction.
She wouldn't need to use her spell against them. A single hit from her will kill them both without it.

No, she just needs a single piece of the body. No need for it to be intact.

Unless she's really familiar/close to them like her sisters, in which case she can do it any time.

the quote was

On the Flesh Vault: No, they don't. If Goddess Red knows the target of her resurrection well enough she can Rez them pretty much anywhere. Otherwise she uses their remains as a focus for her spell. In order to do that, she needs a piece of their corpse from after they died.

we hold the field we can just burn the body to ash. so she's staying dead.

Nope. 99% dmg reduction cannot be bypassed at all.

Okay, what do you think happens when conceptually "I will break through anything" runs into "I cannot be broken?"

In a setting like this, when both sides have equal metaphorical "Weight"?

The answer is "I will break through anything" wins given how this setting seems to be one where offense has decisively beaten defense.

Sixth Heaven actually survived Uni's spell. Not in particularly good condition, but she survived.
She was mildly peeved.
