Crystalwatcher's Magical Girl Quest!

[X] Plan It's Always A Trap
-[X] James and Michael swap positions, Judgement Core defend the rear Messenger, Gabriel and the Gunship in the air.
-[X] If any heavy hitters try and take out the Messengers in the confusion Judgement Core, James, Michael, and Lucky are to take them down.
-[X] The Gunship is to provide crowd control if needed while Gabriel is to stay alert for Hell Beasts or other aerial attackers.
-[X] The Drives are to continue searching the area. Report back anything you find but your priority is stopping those Summoners from drowning us in numbers.
-[X] Solid Core will engage the right side. You'll try and use Starshine as fast as possible to take down as many enemies as possible. While waiting between castings you'll attack with your Purifier Beam; hopefully all that new power will let you thin the herd even more.
--[X] Once the right side is cleared with engage the left side if it hasn't reached the Messengers, same tactics as the right, or help defend the Messengers if it has, hopefully Starshine will be just as effective as last time.

I personally like Plan "it's always a trap" better than plan "desperation", buuut by my own admission tactics is not my strong suit.

How come the only member of Team Gear given any instructions to follow in plan Desperation is Gabriel? And why does it also ignore Magical Girl M.E.C.A?

I can't really do reading comprehension at the moment, so can anyone tell me the difference between Plans Desperation and It's A Trap, aside from the synchronization attempts?

OK, before my muse tries running away into weird shit again.

Anyone have any questions, or anything they would like clarified? If not, I'll be considering closing voting here soon.

Or at least, that's if my muse doesn't try running off with it's AoT baby. Again.

If you're closing the votes soon, have an updated tally!

[X] Plan Desperation
-[X] The Drives are to not engage the Soul Reavers, and keep searching for the Summoners and Hell Beasts. The Summoners take priority. Once they have done so, they may engage at will.
--[X] If the Hell Beasts are protecting the summoners, they are to call for back-up.
-[X] Solid Core and Judgement Core will cast Starshine and End Game on the Right side group, attempt to thin the herd.
--[X] Solid Core will attempt to cast Starshine as much as possible, while Judgement Core will cast End Game every time Burst Stream of Oblivion becomes available, attacking the rest of the time. They will attack the side with the largest numbers every turn.
---[X] After Starshine and End Game synchronized, they will attempt to synchronize Celestial Severance and End Game immediately afterwards. They will then use whichever combination is better from then on every time Burst Stream procs. Or every turn, if they believe the combo doesn't benefit/need it. If the combinations are bad, they obviously won't use it.
-----[X] Solid Core is to keep casting Starshine outside of the Synchronized spell.
-[X] Gabriel is to be prepared for if and when the Hell Beasts appear.
--[X] If they appear on the battlefield, she is to engage and stop them from interfering with Judgement and Solid Core.
--[X] If Solid or Judgement Drive calls for back-up, she is to render assistance.
---[X] Priority is Judgement Drive > Solid Drive > Solid Core and Judgement Core.
-[X] Make sure the Commander of the local forces is calling this shit in to Command.

[X] Plan Starpocalypse
-[X] They're all counting on you for some fucking reason. Battle plan?
--[X] The Drives form aerial escort for the Cores. The Cores will fly out ahead of the convoy towards the enemies ahead, get some space. Everyone else take up defensive positions to keep the enemies off from the other directions. You're trying something new, and would prefer not to accidentally destroy what you're escorting.
--[X] Synchronize spells with Judgement Core, Starshine with The End. Judgement Core activates Burst Stream of Obliteration once the spells are synchronized and no friendlies are anywhere NEAR your firing arc. Scour as big an area as you can cover with Starshine of The End to one side of the convoy, while Omni-Casting regular Starshine in between. Judgement Core will recharge her Burst Stream of Obliteration at the same time. Synchronize again when Burst Stream has recharged.
--[X] After that, depending on the level of destruction, apply the same to the remaining directions with allowance for avoiding friendly fire, while the Drives move out through the cleared zone to make sure that the summoners are dead and search for any hostile magical girls, while the Cores run covering fire for them. Once the Drives return back to overwatch, the Cores go on full offense and repeat the cycle.

Is Rei's "Divine Right" ability just the character ability equivalent of Omni-Caster (a weapon/spell ability)? If so, what level of Omni-Caster is it equivalent to? If not, what are the mechanical differences between it and Omni-Caster?

Or is it just Early Installment Weirdness?

How long does it take for a divine entity to be born? If humans stepped foot on luna, world that work? Starting a moon base? A colony? A biosphere? Full out urbanization?

Also is everyone and everything extremely focused on earth right now? Do the demons hold planes or planets? Or is only hell a plane? Why doesn't humanity nuke UD held planets?

I can't really do reading comprehension at the moment, so can anyone tell me the difference between Plans Desperation and It's A Trap, aside from the synchronization attempts?

Plan Desperation leaves the Rear Messenger vulnerable by having only James and Aquila, the weakest member of Team GEAR*, guarding it. In exchange it may result in the Soul Reavers dying fast through the use of experimental spell synchronizations with Judgement Drive.

*Which makes sense since the Elves' big thing is their massive numbers and abilities optimized towards exploiting massive numbers. So a lone Elf is going to be weaker then the other races.

Plan It's Always A Trap ensures both Messengers are heavily guarded by having JC watch the Rear Messenger. In exchange however it means Solid Core is the only one out killing off Soul Reavers.

Basically the first prioritizes wiping out the Soul Reavers ASAP while the latter prioritizes keeping the Messengers safe from the inevitable sneak attack by whatever heavy hitters the enemy is holding back.

From what Lost and Gore have said Supremacy Zone's anti-army stuff only triggers when Nepgear is a part of an army, not just when she's facing down one. Why is there a mechanical difference between in what Nepgear is capable of between:
Nepgear Vs. Army
Nepgear + Army Vs Army
? It strikes me as odd that Nepgear can't perform aerial bombardments against enemy armies when she's operating solo, or in a small team, but can when she's operating as part of an army.

Divine Right is a Rei-specific ability that falls under her "I'm supposed to be broken and then some" build.

It outright removes the limit on spell casting for her.

What will happen to the other two missions if we don't support them after this one us finished?
High Tide got put on hold because of a lack of available manpower, for projected requirements.

Canned Whoopass, had Team RIOT being led on a rather merry chase by the Maidens while they were playing a game of hot magic doom potato with the third WEAPON. A chicken is dead, and most of their team are currently in the recovery ward.

It varies depending on the Divine Being being born. For what you're asking about, it'd take a self-sustaining colony on the moon for a neophyte Divine to be born.

Also is everyone and everything extremely focused on earth right now? Do the demons hold planes or planets? Or is only hell a plane? Why doesn't humanity nuke UD held planets?
Different dimensions range from full planets to planes. It varies from one dimension to the next. Hope was a planet, but Heaven is a plane.

Humanity also doesn't nuke UD held dimensions for the reason already stated. They don't currently have a reliable way to deliver nuclear weapons across dimensions. Human portal magi-tech renders just creating a portal right over a silo cost-prohibitive. And we don't understand our allies' portal magics, and our allies don't understand human technology well enough to work around it that way. It's why the Messengers are such a big deal.

They're meant to act as mobile silos for our nuclear arsenal when we go on the offensive.

This involves special rules during Army Actions. Which are going to be specialized events that I'll explain when they come up. Though, at this rate I might just post up the data piece for them to clear it all up.

As for your question, Supremacy Zone operates in concert with those special rules. Otherwise it doesn't trigger.

The Anti-Army ability on the other hand triggers off the volume of enemies that you're facing. Which doesn't require the special rules of an Army Action to trigger.

Called it!
A third possibility is they might be seeking Gullinkambi which is one of the three roosters whose cry will signal the beginning of Ragnarök.

Given what we know of the setting I'd guess that Gullinkambi is the most likely target for the Maidens since it could quite easily be interpreted as a magical beast whose cry causes great chaos where ever it is heard. Such a weapon would appeal to Shiva-Sil since IIRC they still have that portal generating mirror which would make deploying Gullinkambi as a WMD quite easy.
