I...don't think so. We've gotten his and his sister's backstories, and the only thing out of the ordinary to me was their house being attacked and Jessica killing a demon with a spoon. Apart from that, we don't really know a whole lot about James. I suppose that he could be a supersoldier, but I'm not seeing anything that screams that.
 
Not super-soldier I think. Not on purpose anyway.

I see him as either being an accidental SCIENCE! experiment, via his parent(s) being exposed to something and it only taking effect when in the womb, or as this worlds version of an X-Men... except, ya know, with magic instead of biology.
 
He's technically a super-soldier now that Anastasia (gotta use her given name sometimes, or I'll end up forgetting it. Again) buffed him with Core Connection.

But who knows, maybe he'll end up proving himself to be Big Boss incarnate.

-[X] Let Angel WEAPON take on Goddess White. She's the closest in power to White.
-[X] Take on the Maiden of the West yourself. Focus on intercepting her attacks with your own, and tanking the ones you can't intercept.
-[X] Have Samael empower Team GEAR and Angel WEAPON, then have him focus on keeping the Maiden of the East from attacking as best he can. James should focus on keeping East's attention focused on himself.
-[X] Have Truth and Gabriel remain close enough that all of the team is within the range of their healing abilities. In the meantime, they should focus on hit-and-run tactics focused on keeping West and East respectively off guard, and hopefully keeping them form using spells. They should immediately retreat whenever they are injured, and wait until they are healed back to near top condition to resume the hit-and-run tactics.
-[X] Before the fight begins, ask if anyone knows who released the virus, and why they did such a thing. If anyone answers, have Michael continue the conversation.

I know this doesn't quite qualify here, but this sums up my feelings pretty much perfectly.

Edit: Apparently we bombed anyway. This is a lesson. Diplomacy never works with the crazy bitch willing to wipe out 99.7% of humanity.

    You know magical girls? You know how they exist because humans believe that they exist?

    The entirety of humanity is aware of the Giant Robot Genre. Giant robots are already possible. Belief in their existence is so common that it's merely another fact of life.

    Anastasia is a Magical Girl. James is a Pilot.
