Autocorrect should not be touching its/it's (except to capitalize them, if they're at the beginning of a sentence). Either go in and manually change that part of the autocorrect, or disable the autocorrect.It's more that auto-correct is not context aware, and as both it's and its are valid, it doesn't tell you "hey, you need to fix this", and thus it's easy to miss.
Especially as "apostrophe s" is generally the possessive, but in this case it's not. can trip you up.
Also, you should not be relying on autocorrect to tell you when you should use a given word that has one or more other words that sound exactly like it. Learn the difference yourself (there are relatively few cases of this, anyway) and come to know them by heart (especially since all of the contraction-type ones can be manually tested in your head in a second or two until you know the difference without even having to think about it).
