Crystalwatcher's Magical Girl Quest!

Fairly sure this is the scheduled mashup of Goddess White plus the Maidens of the Apocalypse against the WEAPONs. Crystal talked about it awhile ago.
yeah, buuut... someone's probably gonna try to use it as a distraction anyway.

But all we know about Blue Sky is she goes fast, she has a gun, and her name. We don't know what her other capabilities are.
Exactly, nothing we know about her indicates she would be good here.

...all right. For the record, if we wind up doing subpar on this because we don't have a second MG, I reserve the right to say 'I told you so'. Also, I'm going to campaign for getting Applied Teachings. Yes, I have read the efficiency posts, it's just that I want to get it so we don't have to bring it up anymore. That and for its effects.

It's possible there might be a more "in-story" benefit beyond the efficiency math stuff that's been discussed at length. Like maybe we start teaching other MGs combat since we aren't a scrub anymore, helping out with training regiments, or combat changes to reflect more options that don't necessarily rely on numbers.

Or we teach our team. We learned unnaturally fast, it's just that last bit.

And Nepgear in Neptunia is a sword-user first and foremost. It's weird to me for her to have a deficiency in close-combat.

Well, we know accuracy isn't rolled, but narratively determined via comparing traits.

Nepgear is more dramatically likely to miss in melee because she has a trait that says she's bad at melee, even if she hits like the Hulk.

Empower
Level 1
Bae Damage: N/A
Magic Modifier: 200 (1,000)
Affinity: Faith
Ability: Boost-Self
So...it buffs buff spells. This is gonna be good. Add another thousand on top of the 5x boost....or add that thousand BELOW the 5x boost?
Shell
Level 1
Base Damage: 0
Magic Modifier: 200 (1,000)
Affinity: Divinity
Ability: Defender | Boost-All
*Applies double stacked buffs on top*
Purge
Level 1
Base Damage: 150 (750)
Magic Modifier: 50 (250)
Affinity: Purity
Ability: N/A
Then PURIFY.

Ya know there is another amazingly good thing about buffing our team...

Our foes if they're still watching us... think of Nepgear as the real threat, we're the MG after all...

But right now the real threat is our team! They'll be ignoring them or planning to hold them hostage or something when SURPRISE x5 happens.

In my experience, I find that Crystal Mage's works (Those that aren't unfinished / or short, much like the later mentioned authors) generally seem to fall into the same issue Blessing or Weber have in that the later 'half' of the story turns into a well... mess for a lack of a better word.

Quite a few authors seem to have that problem, they write some really good short works, but their longer works lose steam past the 'halfway' mark or characters seem to warp / shift...

I can enjoy the first half, but I lose interest during the second half as things seem to spiral out of control on a literary level...?

It's crazy is what it is. From what I can tell, based off information on Sacrificial Gear, Shell and Empower both work by rolling their Magic Modifiers and giving the result as a modifier to attack actions. We don't know yet if it applies to other combat actions like defending but I imagine it would.

So depending upon Samael's luck this could be another large boost to our team. On average Team GEAR will be rocking ~+500 Divine Inspiration while Samael will have that plus another ~+500 Faith In Victory.

Although I should note that we only know it applies to "mundane" humans. Neither Nepgear nor White Knight benefit from these bonuses but that might just be because Nepgear hightailed it out of the Mausoleum to fight Candy Heart, so out of range, and Samael was a bit busying fighting the zombie hoard to apply it to White Knight.

Why are you making his name small?
