Theirs no need to rush Bronze weapons since we should have a bit of a cooling-off period, but we also shouldn't drag our heels. The defense legacy is an easy choice, we have gotten to the point where we are very unlikely to fight a full on war of aggression so anything to boost our power when on the defense is guaranteed to pay off big time in the future.

I must admit to picking quick bronze is more for the industrial development than the military advantage. As for the legacy anything that upgrades our civ is bound to be awesome. Hopefully with bastion of civilisation we'll get even better tech.
Ancient Bastion will make our culture worse. It is not worth worsening our culture for even guaranteed faster tech growth, much less the faint hope of a slight boost.

A century? Yeah no.

Pushing bronze through within a generation now might make it easier to do the same with other reforms in the future, as there's now precedent. I certainly don't want a century to be seen as the standard time for reforms.

[] [Legacy] Gain the The King Still Stands Legacy.

Our military is already very strong on the defensive and a further boost to defensive wars isn't going to make the difference. A boost to tech is useful for all cases, military, magic, admin, etc.

Don't expect any industrial development from this. You aren't building new mines or otherwise increasing production, just changing what is already being produced. It is more making less bronze tools and more bronze weapons or keeping more bronze weapons for your own use instead of selling them to foreigners.

Reform times can vary. The Catclaws got formed almost overnight from the Cateyes and likewise with how you acquired a monarch as your head of state.

Hrrm.
I'm for taking the bronzing slowly, since while I think the stone weapon skills will have their place if we keep those ways, the bronze should offer their own benefits. More importantly, doing it slow could enable a more considered approach to changes, which might help in terms of understanding the impact X or Y change will do.

40-100 years of transitioning isn't that bad, and I like the narrative of an enduring ancient civ.

The narrative isn't of an ancient enduring civ, it's of being a big, ancient civilisation who defeats barbarians. We really don't want to bake in anti-"barbarian" sentiment further into our culture.

It is kinda of the ancient enduring civ as well. It is about being a big ancient enduring civ who survives external threats like disasters or invasions intact. Repelling a big barbarian invasion is how you earnt this time around, it isn't just what that Legacy is about. It could apply successful repelling a 'civilised' invasion or a civ-killing plague or something like a demonic or undead invasion.

[X][Metal] Bronze weaponry is very slowly phased in over time. (Temp Tech- for 10 Turns , ???)
[X] [Legacy] Gain the Ancient Bastion of Civilisation (Garthryd) Legacy.

Now knowing it's about survival in general, I reckon we should take it, because it's the least militant of all the legacies.

I personally lean towards this, because unlike the other two, this is specifically a great feat.
Legendary Defenders is based winning a defensive war against long odds and in this case, this was winning against a a Martial Genius/Heroic Admin and two Martial Heroes with a Heroic Admin/Heroic Martial and a Martial Hero. Ancient Bastion of Civilisation is about being the big holdout of civilisation of your region in ancient times and you get from repelling a massive 'barbarian' invasion while being the biggest civilisation around. The King Still Stands is about successful having fended off an attempt to take your King of the Hill status because while it was never outstated in the update, that was basically Skjaldur's casus belli beyond general right of conquest.
Ancient Bastion of Civilization is essentially us being old and fending off one attack by foreigners.
The King Still Stands is quite literally just defending king of the hill status.
On the other hand, Legendary Defenders is us facing long odds, and succeeding in spite of the massive threats arranged against us.
