[X]Breakfast: Bath and clean. Eat breakfast. Do other normal things. Apologise to your Flight for so rudely leaving last night.
[X]Morning: Continue as is. (Transcendent Offense)

Okay. We don't want to talk about it this morning under any circumstances. It aggrivates Anna's trauma, and more importantly, puts her issues in the limelight. Given Koujirou's perspective this update, Anna's trauma was a subtle background thing, not the focus of the episode. If we bring it up, it'll come out of nowhere for most viewers. It's decent foreshadowing, but not enough buildup.

Luckily, Shuri and Sandra are on the case. As supporting characters, their investigations can be mostly off screen until there's enough buildup for our arc, (especially since the next character focus episode is Yukari's, if I'm reading things right) and then they can kick things off by having a hushed discussion about accessing our classified file through political connections and having a shocking revelation as a cliffhanger before our flashback episode.

This also ties our character arc to theirs, and we already have a connection to Yukari through Alaska, so if we play it right, we can smoothly slide into the larger plot, instead of being the writer's wanked Mary Sue who forces her issues into every episode.

What's your hometown like? How did you feel about moving here to go to the academy? Why are you only just entering an academy now? How did you get so good at fighting?

Those are just off the top of my head. We've already poked the trauma button with a stick, let's not bash it with a hammer.
If they're asking those questions, why would not voting to answer change anything?
The questions would still be asked, the trauma still happens if it works like you think, and no progress is made.

I don't think they'll bring it up(At least for Shuri and Sandra.) since they know that from Anna behavior during the sim is enough to tell them that she's not exactly comfortable with it.

So unless we bring it up specifically, they probably won't ask about it.

Which one hurts more: willfully dredging up past traumas to talk about it, or stonewalling, saying "I don't want to talk about it," and refusing to think of it further?

Also this. The alternative vote can be read as Anna deliberately opening the floor to such questions, which is just no. Just. No.

The part of the vote I disagree with was encouraging people to ask questions about our life. I don't think those sort of questions will be asked unless we invite them, which some of us seemed to be doing.

I think, perhaps too many voters spoil the broth sometimes huh. It's hard to change the momentum with 100+ voters.

Can we avoid trauma stuff now guys?

[X]Breakfast: Discuss the simulation, focusing on where the flight has done well/needs improvement. Answer any personal history questions asked by flightmates regarding reaction to simulation if asked.
What part of this is encouraging them?
If they don't ask that part of the vote doesn't happen at all.

Even a few surviving high level Antagonists were being destroyed by the conventional assault. A Scorpion, one of the more powerful Antagonist armoured units, crashed to the ground when it's legs gave out, shaking the earth and throwing up a huge plume of dust. With the Scorpion unable to dodge and many of its secondary weapons destroyed, human jets strafed it with missiles and bombs as the tanks swarm, concentrating their firepower. The Scorpion goes down swinging, its heavy plasma cannons claiming another submarine carrier as it surfaced. The human ship was forced to discharge its payload of tanks a few hundred meters out at sea as its hull buckled and listed dangerously.

The bolded sentence has different tenses than the rest of it's paragraph, and there are a bunch of other cases of weird tenses.

Wow. Umm... Let's not poke the Trauma button. Maybe let's just leave the Trauma Reduction to opportunities or the MC. (Preferably from Late S1 to Late S2)

Can we not be mean to Anna and not make her answer questions about the terrible horrible no-good eight years she's had? Let her have a day of peace?

Look at how the other veterans are approaching her; the flight instructors. Treat her the way they treat her, and she'll do much better.

EDIT:

Can't believe I forgot to add this, but, @Avalanche, thanks for posting and writing!

Caught this while rereading.
A pair of Type Zeros, Class B and Class C, facing Pinnacle Squadron head on. Moments later, the marker of the Three Hundred Squadron disappears.
Another replaces it.
Maybe I'm reading this wrong but did Herakles and Raksha just wipe out Pinnacle?

As a side note, Type Zero Subjugation Squads have awesome names. Ragnarok? Deicide? Last Word?

Gotta wonder what the MC's flight will be named later on in the series.

I think they just got reorganised from fast-responce to zero-killer squad. Those tend to share personnel heavily. Case in point: Anna.

Bluuuuuh, that was a fiasco. That said, it was basically impossible to avoid with people voting for the maximum hard mode scenario and this being the only thing in the running to beat it. I'm not at all happy with this, but there's nothing we can do about it now.

Hopefully things go better in the future.

For the people who're voting against talking about personal history, can you PLEASE vote for SOMETHING rather than a blank? @Avalanche can't write in a vacuum, and you can vote for the after action report while stripping out the personal issues, go find someone specific to talk to(e.g. Yukari may be a good option, or Sandra) , explore the school, ANYTHING.

An empty vote is a waste of a vote. We're determining how to advance the plot here ,and doing nothing is not a useful vote.

Well unless you want Anna to just stare blankly at a wall after eating, which is entirely possible, and not really any good for her mental health either.

It's been so long since last update that I don't think anyone remembers why they voted. (Mind, I'm pretty sure I didn't vote.)

Please tell me the next update won't take months.
