The funny thing is her building skills implies Anna made a full on death fortress that withstood everything the antagonists in North America threw at it.

Ah the signal has arrived for me to begin my bimonthly reread of this thread. Wonderful.

Anna Sanchez making a wipeout course for power armor/mechs would be glorious beyond compare. Her commentary would be peerless in its analytical value and yet would unintentionally be super cold sounding.

She'd have a cult by the end of the first episode.

Interesting. I thought it was the unused backstory for Anna where instead of the Broken Warrior she was just incredibly sheltered and determined to have 10 friends by the end of week one, come hell or high water. Probably the most major change there would have been that her town never got destroyed, which would let the inhabitants who were old enough to remember what not being at war was like encourage her to go out and live a little instead of serving as an eternal monument to her greatest trauma.

That is part of the premise though? Given the premise is swapping all the choices made in chargen.

Yep. The inverted setting takes each of the choices made at quest start and swaps them, including Ganbatte!Anna. Going by tropes, it's:
+1 Golden Ace Shuri
-1 Design Child Sandra/equivalent
+1 Younger Sister Yukari
-1 Veteran Koujirou
+1 Shy Warrior Anna

Though I couldn't manage to incorporate the first two for this bit.

Anna Stared at the Pickle through Durga's sensors.

The Pickle stared back....

Anna's question was hesitant "...Grandpa Rick..?"

Her therapy sessions were weird.

In my mind [Design Child who is not Sandra but should be called Sandra for audience convenience] is a complete Gremlin, and when Anna's Castle is introduced to a wider audience she will insist on joining Anna to provide color commentary.
While Anna mostly comments on the technical side and what the valkyries subjecting themselves to the challenge achieve, [Sandra] heckles them.

Anna: ... and now they are coming up against the first gate defenses.
[Sandra]: AKA it's filter time, scrubs.

(Also, annoyingly for everyone else, she and Shuri hold the Highest score for the Castle Challenge out of all the first years, and Shuri insists [Sandra] did more than her fair share in getting it, without elaborating further. Anna refuses to comment, other than blushing and mumbling something about adverserial attacks through unconventional vectors, since blocked. [Sandra] just cackles.)

Ah, it has already been four years since last update. How the time goes.

Speaking of alternative starting numbers, one setting I've always wanted to see is a -3 with Golden Ace. I think that would make for a good balance of "everything is on the brink of destruction", yet the characters still having hope and being able to overturn it.

Thing is - unless it's +3 (and probably even +3) world Design Child is in BAD mental space. If she's Gremlin then she's Arknights W type of Gremlin and not harmlessly fun one.

Shuri and the Ojou would bascally have the same relationship as I detailed above except the Design Child would like the Golden Ace as a friend and worries about her in a sorta motherly way ("No Shuri, that's not how it will happen, people aren't nice." "Says you, I like to assume the best." "mfw if this works" etc)
So not a negaverse where every starting option was flipped.
I think I remember Avalanche saying the golden ace would be very vulnerable to being manipulated by the design child. Not that I can find it.

Er... that quote I used was Avalanche describing the set of options where every setting was flipped, resulting in a +1 setting.

I think you may be thinking of the post two posts above the quote I grabbed, which does describe the Golden Ace and the Design child having a hollow, parasitic relationship, but that's only flipping the Ojou/Ace, for a resultant net -1 setting.

I wonder what would happen if one stuck a comic book bleeding Edge Ironman suit in the Valkyrie core. Would it be too alien to be improved much, would synergy between tech base turn it into some Clark tech formulation, that features hulk buster power in the swim suit, how much arc reactors would a iron man have, are ironman weapons betters than Anna weapons.
