It's Mikoyan, he'll be fine.So quick news, Discord is freaking out because Statistical Planning winning means that it's finally revealed that we are 2-3 steps behind on all stages of the Plan.
Also that there is still a good chance that Germany might stall out after the France Blitz or that it's even very possible that the Blitz might get yeeted off like the improbability that it was.
Also also that the winning Plan for this 3rd's FYP hinged the meta-knowledge on a war actually happening so that we can point at the Nazis as the excuse for not meeting the targets.
And we might not get to GPW in anyway remotely close to the levels of OTL.
So um, best wish the Nazis good luck, lest Ice Cream Man gets shot.
As the one who ended up writing the plan that won and seesawed a lot on the Plan Goal, I hear ya.
Well, if war happens, it gives us a hell of an excuse.so plan "miss the numbers then blame the war" is cancelled then?
Well, in universe we've got the Litvinov-Ribbentrop Pact, as Maxim Litvinov managed to stay Foreign Minister. So, we're going all in on german trade then?
So long as all the accounts are squared before sudden but inevitable betrayal, it should be acceptable, even if not ideal.
By the way, does statistical analysis give any kind of mechanical bonuses? Or it's just us learning how much we're screwed?

Nah. Again, learningI'll be kinda honest I'm going to be real disappointed if all the effort of making cutting edge aviation engines and avgas bogs down because a bad roll on dice. But eh, the proletariat giveth and the proletariat taketh away.

. There's a floor where bad quality rolls translates to 'teething problems', and we've well reached that. So despite our constant stream of subpar quality rolls, we're making more than good progress. It got lost in the excitement (read: utter panic) of the Statistical Planning discussion but next turn, we have reached the point where we can get the trials for 'beefiest CAS', the Su-6 next turn — it'd wouldn't be designed OTL until 1941 — and its cheaper alternative, the IL-2 Sturmovik. Our infrastructure should be more developed, and our trains run on diesel. Heavy Industry wise we are probably more even with OTL Soviet Union, but we are still growing fast there and the rest of the economy is a lot more developed, which means it is going to take quite a bit more punishment before everything collapses. Our Military is probably going to be a bit smaller then OTL by the time war comes to us, with significantly fewer tanks, however a much larger portion of them are very modern and competent equipment pieces like our souped up KVs and T-34s. Equipment wise everything is pretty much equal or better then what the Germans have, we are going to have enough radios to control our forces properly and our officers are better trained, if not at the same level as Germany. The Airforce might actually be fighting in 1941 instead of just keeling over dead within the first week, and our ability to mobilize more troops and equip them after the shooting starts should be better aswell. So how are we infrastructure, militarily and industrially compared to OTL USSR in 1939-1940? We have millions more people compared to OTL, more developed military in some places and avoid major food problems. Let the imperialists fight each other and we can reap the benefits both from technology transfers and funds. Also, what is the final situation in Spain?
