The apprentices are meant to be the teachers. We can't afford any actual masters.

Probably, I'm think of appealing to their desire to cincrease the amount of art, and adventure and that the can make a difference in our Realm, to boost social rolls on negotiation of pay. AK would have a tendency to have those more receptive to these arguments imo.

You're counting the cost as too much, maybe make a note to get an idea of their cost to hire while we are are hiring the less skilled ones for mass teaching our muggle smiths?

Edit: moar giants!

If we're making pfe's amd healing belts, and since we already so many now, can we make an INT stat booster for Waymar, @Goldfish ?

It's something I've been wanting for him for quite a while :)

I fully expected to wait another turn or two. Expansion of crafting is the best.

I'm looking forward to making more pages of Spell Knowledge for Maelor in the next two turns if we can. And for Waymar.

Maelor wanted magic to do utility stuff with, the path of the wizard, where as sorcerers are more focused on killy, like warlocks. I'm glad that we can finally get him something to help with that. Also, Secure Shelter :: d20srd.org is the perfect spell for him to get a page of, if it wasn't level 4, imo.

@Everyone I know the turn isn't over yet, but I'm going ahead and getting started on various crafting schedules for next month.

Is there anything that's been mentioned over the past few weeks that we talked about crafting? If you remember, please give me a reminder.

@Azel I'm going to go heavy on our Lesser and Greater False Ravens, as well as more Elemental Wyrmlings. How many more Whispering Braziers do we need?

@Duesal Minotaur weapons will be on the docket as well.

PoSK Majestic Image and SpellSword and Wall of Eyes, I'd be willing to outright pay for the first and last, Wall of Eyes in particular benefits greatly the sooner we can start casting it, we need our Sentry Towers, our enemies are too numerous and mobile.

Meh, Qohor seems to be doing well enough by itself. Even if it blows up, we can move in later and mop up the ashes. And if a threat is unleashed, well, they are far away and we can always use it as another example of our 'lets build an empire to protect all mankind' shtick.

I agree. Divination on what exactly is going on over there would be useful, but we are loaded down with far too many commitments as it is.

We may want to loot Qohor before it burns down, though. And recover useful people before they die in the collapse.

Also it's likely to be less awkward than turning up at Pyke only to find out we can't do anything unless we want to break the ceasefire before we're ready.

...although encouraging some githzerai to take over the Iron Islands and use them as an anti-illithid base might be a way to solve a number of our problems.

Less joking subject, I noticed our Legions are missing some major items from their TO&E: chaplains, engineers, artillery, and medics. These all seem like things that a military really should have in it. Even with magic taken into account, I would feel better about having actual specialists in those fields instead of dragooning mages and/or artificers on an ad hoc basis.
Most of it is abstracted in the form of miscellaneous support staff.

The one thing we don't really have is artillery, but we really haven't had a need for that, as we shouldn't be doing sieges when we can either go Dragon or just insert teams with through teleport, or build ramps through magic, or sap the foundations, or any other method.

Besides, our crossbow corps use 2d8 crossbows, while light ballistae deal 3d8. Not that far off, and the minotaurs actually carry the equivalent of light ballistae.

Our Legion is pretty streamlined, yeah, and mages are supposed to fulfill multiple roles due to magic being ubiquitously versatile in scope.

Elite units/non-standard noble units will fulfill the roles they cannot, for the most part.

@Goldfish, how about crafting those mirrors with Ghost Sound effect and starting to set up a massive propaganda/entertainment network?

  • [X] Round of Divination
-[X] Start with a Divination from Dany on the Corbray situation
    -[X] Commune Questions from Viserys
--[X] Are there Erinyes waiting in ambush?
---[X] If yes, are there more than three Erinyes?
--[X] Do the devils present intend to summon something greater the moment a rescuer arrives?
--[X] Aside from the ambush itself, are there traps to ensnare whatever rescuers attempt to arrive, be they mundane or magical?
--[X] Are the devils in possession of any pieces of Thoros' body with which to harm him in any way?
--[X] Do the devils intend to use the surviving Alchemists to make more wildfire?
--[X] Do the devils dealing with Corbray have the dragon eggs?
---[X] If no, do the devils by Ser Kennos have the dragon eggs?
--[X] Have the devils managed to hatch any of the eggs?
--[X] All remaining questions (as a reminder there should be seventeen total) are to be used for IC clarifications on the Kennos situation and to narrow down intel on the Corbray situation.

Most of Lya's time remains unassigned. @Azel Do we want to start working on the apparatuses necessary to begin minting our own currency now?
Yes. That's definitely necessary.
We want to begin emitting our currency mext month.
@Azel What would you prefer more, having all requested Braziers crafted this month, including the less important ones, or far more Constructs?
Braziers. Painful as ut is, but those are long overdue.

OK then, in order:

Divination on the Corbay situation.

Who (if any) among House Corbay is colluding with devils?

The Forlorn Knight holds tight the key
A Blade Reforged in hallowed blood
In gleanered vale ever Darkness be
Seek out the child risen from the fog

Commune questions:
  1. Are there Erinyes: yes
  2. More than three: yes
  3. Will they summon something greater upon rescue: unknowable (it depends on what rescue you send and you are under mind blank)
  4. Are there traps: no
  5. Do the devils have some part of Thoros' Body: yes
  6. Could they use them to harm him: yes
  7. Do the devils intend to use the Alchimists to make more wildfire: yes
  8. Do the devils dealing with Corbray have the dragon eggs: no
  9. Do the devils by Ser Kennos have the dragon eggs: no
  10. Have the devils managed to hatch any of the eggs: yes
You have 7 more questions to go.

Have the devils managed to hatch any of the eggs: yes
Well shit.

*sigh*

That's the price for forgetting to send someone to the Corbrays.

Look on the bright side, we can always capture it and feed it to the Fungus forge for Plant dragons.

I wonder if people will finally realize that the more enemies they throw at us the more we simply carve them up for parts. You'd think after what we've done to Mammon they'd take the fucking hint.

*sigh*

A Valyrian Dragon Wyrmling.

We could beat it up with our claws tied behind our back.
And even if they had some fast-growth magic and added a Fiendish Template it would ultimatly still be a managable threat.
I don't expect it to be anywhere near the challenge the wannabe-god would be, as a far stronger, older and smarter foe with tons of immunities and powerful magic that's a whole different level from a firebreathing lizard.

And once again, it feels like literally everyone is more efficient than us.
I think we should put a dedicated action onto combing Essos for deagon eggs in next turns.
Even though we have Tiamat and a shitton of other people gunning for them there too. And they've been at this for months.
:/

*Considers all the world-changing stuff you've done over the past month*

I would not say so.
I feel like the inherent glamour of dragon eggs has really captured the threads attention.

Speaking of dragons...

Since bringing it up as a vote will probably get me lynched, hows the Bahamutian clerics hunt for metallic dragons going?
