That is just depressing, does any edition fix that?
Its like how in WoW you can have an ancient spacefaring race, with a natural affinity for both Magic and technology, which they have been developing for tens of thousands of years, as they are seemingly immortal.
And then they are wiped out by orcs with sticks, because one stick= one magitek Golem in that setting.

That stick can carve through ten men with one swing! :V

So I'm rooting through the archive looking for the scenes with Stannis and Fenly, and holy fucking shit this quest is massive. I mean, Christ! And even worse, I keep opening up old parts and then getting sucked in! It's so goddamn much, I can't! *headdesk*

@DragonParadox

Varys sees 8 what exactly?

The creature also perceives several observable characteristics about each being detected with mindsight, including the being's type and Intelligence score. The creature need not take any additional or special actions to gain this information; it is as obvious to mindsight as the being's race and clothing would be to eyesight.

"That's just propaganda!"

Spoken like true Alliance scum. :V
I wish, my friends convinced me to play horde 2 expansion ago, now i have to suffer through every dumb decision by our undead overlady.
Seriously, when i was playing through the Lordaeron scenario and she started unleashing the plague on her own soldiers i wanted to scream "I am down here you bitch!"

I took off my pauldrons.

That showed the bitch! :V

Huh, have you not read the whole thing?

Or jus this realized this is over two million words long?
I caught up then immediately got sad i caught up. I didnt notice until recently its two million words I recently congratulated dp and felt rather stupid to not congratulate them for getting that far in a relatively short time compared to 90% of quests until a few days back.

To be fair, that was one hell of a sound tactical decision on her part.

Had Deus Ex Jaina not appeared then and there, Sylvanas would have wiped out alliance thrice over the course of battle.

Sure, some of that is due to Anduin being a a little shit that knows nothing about war...
But still, gg, Sylvanas.

Had she only gone through with her plans during Teldrassil battle and killed Malfurion, breaking NE's resolve?
Then she would have stayed in-character as far as her being a masterful tactician and strategist is concerned.

But nooo, blizz needed to dumb her down in order for her to fail.
:rage:

So yeah.
War is war, Garrosh Sylvanas did nothing wrong.
I'm kind of miffed that all horde players will eventually be forced to abide by Saurfang's definition of "Honor", even if some of us don't give a shit and would rather do it sylvanas' way.
Oh well.

Yeah, it was a sound tactical decision... but she mass murdered her own soldiers, and then bound them into eternal torture as undead abominations.
The horde didnt even want that war, it was all her, if players had actual agency i would have switched sides then and there.

For me it's less about Honor and more about the fact that I don't like committing war crimes, and I don't like getting painted with the same brush as yet another genocidal wannabe Lich King poseur.

If chucking off my pauldrons and going "woo! yeah! Saurfang! All hail!" is what I gotta do to get off Sylvanas' wild ride, I'll bear with it.

Edit: Speaking as someone who would happily team up with Alliance players in an "enemy mine" scenario out in the world with war mode on, there is something wrong when the Enemy is easier to get along with than your own Warchief.

For me its about staying true to my character, if i was playing my Undead, or a goblin, or a warrior (God bless their hearts, intelligence is their dump stat) i could see myself going along with this.
But my paladin? my druid? it just feels very very forced, no agency at all, just one more nameless pawn doing what we are told.
