A big batch of liquid nitrogen would be another idea. Make the armor plate brittle through thermal stess and then use a gravity enhanced dragon shaped missile to crack them.

@DragonParadox are there any convoy ships besides the three turtle ships? Maybe vessals protecting them?

@Goldfish @Azel since our goal for convoy is to prevent it from joining the front line we should sinking more and loot less, if we have to loot only take one ship and if too hard to do so simply sink it.

Plan: Viserys carrying a 20' tube made out of large rings with individual haste enchantments, then using it as a blowgun with a magnetite boulder and his Dispelling Searing Breath. Destroy one as an example to the rest, but divine the shittiest haul first.

Because why not magical flame railgun?

Well, we just got our crown back.

Could we hijack the last day of the Conference for a coronation?

Do we have confirmation it's flying over ground?
DP hasn't answered that yet.

@DragonParadox?

1) These are flying ships, right, or are they floating in the molten sea? If they are flying, are we currently over the molten sea or solid ground?

2) What does Viserys see of the enchantments on the ships?

3) Are there any visible escorts accompanying the three ships?

4) How far apart are each of the ships?

5) Are there stats for these ships anywhere? If not, what measurements would Viserys guess at for them?

6) How fast are they moving?

@Sqweaktoy @Pathos @Deliste and people that seemed generally in the brief 5e discussion, this poster here sums up my feelings on how the world feels small when I extrapolate 5e's mechanics.

Essentially:
Which is why 5e bragging about its bounded accuracy makes so little sense to me. If for some reason you were allergic to interesting encounters and wanted the party to fight orcs all session every session for 20 levels, you certainly could do that in any prior edition, but the idea that you'd ever want the same bunch of a half-dozen to a dozen orcs to be at all threatening for the whole campaign (as opposed to going from one orc at 1st to a hunting party led by a particularly tough orc at 5th to a warband led by a canny warchief and his skilled officers at 10th to a horde led by King Obould Many-Arrows and his cadre of warpriests at 15th to and an unholy crusade of multiple fiendish orc tribes led by a Chosen of Gruumsh at 20th) is ridiculous.

No just those three ships. They seem quite large though.

Question, considering our max carrying capacity with spells included, are the ships too large to be physically lifted?

Cause if not then I have a very simple solution to our problems. Lift one ship, drop it on another ship, pick up the resulting pieces of very valuable metal, repeat as needed or until only one ship remains, and then steal that one whole if we want to, or break it ourselves personally.

Not many people factor in the "Beat a Motherfucker with another Motherfucker" variable during the construction process.

On the matter of coronation, I would wait until Lys and Myr are wrapped up and everyone else is ready to join us.

Then directly crown ourselves Imperator.

So nobody gonna comment on how DP totally taunting us with the adamantium plated turtles.

Also nobody want to call Amy for help? Percentage of loot given by CR or HDs... :p

No. The idea was floated before, but I and a lot of others are actually against it. I have no intention of sharing this mission.

"King of East and West".

In any case, this is quite the tricky situation. What if we made a nice big hole with a Searing (but not maximized) Dispelling breath and dropped a team inside each ship?

Honestly, too intrigued by the loot and the idea of deconstructing one of these bastards so we can work on possibly constructing these things ourselves to particularly notice.

That and I really want to use one of them as a bludgeon just to see the look on the poor bastards' faces.

Shall we place Arcane Marks on ships we will not be attacking at the moment of time, so that we can get to them after they, eventually, successfully book it?

If taking tem down one by one is necessary, lets at least make sure they won't escape us.

Also, @DragonParadox, I would be totally okay with you low-balling the amount of adamantine we can get from these.
Say, it is only used in there as a part of warding, or whatever.

6) How fast are they moving?

  1. They are floating on the sea of oil
  2. There is a moderate abjuration aura surrounding the ships
  3. No
  4. About 15-20 ft apart they are traveling in a V shaped formation
  5. Standard for a historical turtle ship @Azel posted the measurements
  6. About 35 miles/hour

You could probably handle the weight, but the process would be difficult and relatively time consuming.
