...When it comes down to trading lore, I kind of assumed that we will eventually assimilate Mysterium into Scholarum, if only (at minimum) as a branch of organisation?

@DragonParadox, would not having most lore in our library avaliable to them (except for the most dangerous, which is basically just a few unique books) be enough to have access to all of their lore?
Or is it not about trading "lore" in general and is bout rituals/secrets instead?

The nice thing is that these debts are basically worthless right now, but we can leverage them into taking over a nice chunk of properties once the dust settles. At this moment, we are one of the only people who are properly aware of what's going on and the Tigers a busy seizing political control, so we are basically unopposed.

He has a comparable bluff to you, and Viserys' sense motive is not his best skill so if you offer a bad deal he can just keep his secrets with relatively little risk.

A single lucky Banishment spell cast by a 15th level caster could return three standard Hezrou back to the Abyss. Still impressive, though.
If that is how Zherys did it, that alone provides a decent gauge of his abilities.

I'm offering it basically for the written reason, to reduce chances of things exploding.
Insufficiently identified items are a menace and there is no reason to risk potentially useful mages getting in trouble through something as stupid as our old Reaver-Eye, if you remember that.
Besides, Zherys has planar contacts, better he pays us for the ritual than some Azer-magesmiths, right?

I think it's a mistake to offer the Identification Ritual of all things right off the bat. That's more something you offer after it's confirmed the city is yours, and we still have to confirm through divination that Zherys isn't plotting against us.
