I was thinking basic non aggression pact, and demilitarization on the grounds of us handling his devil problem.

Well, that's a pleasant development to wake up to. Time to put a bow on everything and show Zherys that being second place under us is vastly better then most the first places in the world.
 
Huh. We actually have a dragon egg left without an owner, don't we?
And Malarys will give us his Order's secets on raising/training dragons as a minor action this turn.
I think that would be a big deal for Zherys.
 
Well then, that was quite the wonderful thing to wake up up to. Thanks to all who helped with that plan, especially @Crake for the second half of the lines. Damn if it isn't great to see this come together. @Azel, have fun with our soon-to-be vassal. Turning Volantis is going to be fricking huge.
 
Yeah, be careful with that. He undoubtedly can make a Valyrian Dragon a threat - he has grafts and stuff like that. And magic.

Edit: Definitely doesn't point to the Autarch of Tyros, a certain Elder Brain, a certain upstart fire fey.
Doesn't swear 'by Yss, the Merling king and the eternal trees'.

I think one line of your plan needs to be adjusted somewhat;

"Truly deserving of power" is a real stretch, especially with Teana in the room.

What about something like; "You are one of the handful of people I have met since the return of magic to the world who has used their newfound power responsibly, to actually make things better for others rather than spread misery and suffering."

That part isn't very clear in the offer. By reading your quote once, I got the 'do the hard work, I will take over from there, or ELSE' impresion.
If that's the gist, he will agree and then work against us - if it isn't made crystal clear that Volantis is not the end of ambition. And still, I'm not sure it's in Zherys to play second fiddle to anyone ...

He explicitly asked the price for our aid and this is it. We are of course helping him with his take-over. We can leverage our decent relationship with Benerro for him, make a few people disappear, run interference against Ymery, help his guys diplomance the general, etc.

If he agrees to our strategic goals, he will get the full firepower of Viserys, Malarys, Garin, Maelor, Glyra and Teana for this.
