A vote for Goldfish is a vote for change! He'll put a Heart Tree in every keep and a Leshy in every garden. Vote for the friendly neighborhood Aberration...

"Then we'll ride out and face it together..." Robb began confidently but trailed off at the look on his brother's face. "Jon?"

"They'll need every sword on the Wall and that way you, f...Lord Stark wont have to worry about," the other boy stuttered.

"To hell with southern kings and their bloody thrones!" Robb shouted. "The Others are coming and I want you by my side.... Please Jon." Lords shouldn't plead like that, but Robb couldn't stop himself.

Wait, so Jon was planning on going to the wall?

I mean she's step two to the stable Jon but I'm suprised that ghost mom didn't fuck Catelyn up.

Well, it's not like she's outright abusive. She's just a really cold bitch to him. Well, technically, that is kind of abusive but yeah.

Catelyn mostly just wants to send him south. Which is basically not going to ever happen, since Ned wouldn't ever consider it at risk of having a heart attack. But that's because he still thinks that the secret of Jon's parentage is dead with him and Howland still.

I think it's only a matter of time until Ned gives serious thought to the idea of divinatory and clairvoyant magic and the implications of such, though. I would not be surprised if he brings up the matter with Viserys before we do, if only because he'll be watching our actions around Jon carefully.

I don't think we'd give away that we know, but I do think if we express more than passing interest in him, Ned will suspect.

Why you guys care so much about yet another royal bastard(and baby Pc i suppose) who's unlikely to change anything when Restoration happens is beyond me.

You honestly don't know thread motives by this point? I know you've been following for awhile.

A lot of the time, we fixate on people not because of what they can do for us, but what we can shape of such a relationship with just a little effort.

There are those who don't have any stake or interest in such, sure, but I wouldn't say that they're in the majority around here.

Dragon rider and PC is more than enough of an investment to give a shit. Plus Viserys is a family man so IC and OOC it makes sense to give a shit about Jon. That and also a lot of people like him. Of that I'm very guilty

Not gonna lie, as a character I like Jon, which is enough to motivate me toward moving mountains so as to make them more aesthetically appealing for someone else.

I think she's a little more than that, not that much more than that, but if I remember right she's also influencing her children against Jon, and are insisting that propriety mean, that Jon shouldn't be treated as part of the family, it's not to any major degree by itself, but she uses her authority to pull every snub she can on Jon, such as insisting that it's improper that Jon sit with the family at feasts, even though by Northern traditions it's only unusual not a scandal.

TBH, I've always sort of thought that Catelyn was underrated character. I totally understand why people dislike her, but I kind of think she's a interesting character regardless.

Putting everything else aside, all the foreshadowing for Lady Stoneheart was pretty great.

He was a pretty important and likable character in ASOIAF. Also, he is Viserys' family. Not that much of a surprise.

People don't like Catelyn because they get the impression that virtually nothing would have shaken her from her own point of view, barring unmitigated circumstances. She would have taken pretty much anything as something which reinforced her initial position, rather than the other way around.

If Ned had told her the truth about Jon, she would have doubled down on her position about him being a threat, and worse, she would have considered Ned a threat to her child (the heir of his seat) for making a "rash and dangerous judgement against the better interests of the family" I.E her child.

Catelyn later on at least loved Ned enough that I doubt she would have betrayed him, but given the first opportunity I totally see her exiling Jon the moment Ned wasn't around.

Which is really the one point which makes her better than Cersei, if not altogether likable. She probably wouldn't have murdered Jon, if only because she knows it would make her children hate her. Cersei pleads the fact that she loves nothing more than her children, but mostly as extensions of herself and how they reflect on her.

Catelyn and Cersei are only superficially similar. One's love is always recursive and self-interested, and the other's is more selfless and implicit.

Both make irrational judgement calls they shouldn't.

Actually, I wonder if Valyrian sacrificial altars will be worthy of special study. And did we keep that cursed altar a summoned air elemental threw at a devil, @Duesal?
Ill answer that in his stead.
We did collect it, or rather, the pieces that were left of it.

Though I can't remember, whether or not DP told us its CL, if it has any after being destroyed, of course.

@Tomcost please remove Lya from your plan. Viserys can cast Dominate Person just as easily as her.

She is learning spells today. Do that and I'll consolidate.

1) The plan requires Lya for a gra d total of 12 seconds. She can use the Runestaff, others can't
2) I want to beat them in action economy. The abduction will last just 6 seconds tops if Viserys casts Celerity. Perhaps even less.

What Runestaff are you talking about?

There is no action economy to beat in this instance. Viserys Teleports to the location, we grab an insensate vegetable Tor, then Teleport back.
