"Alright then," she squares her shoulders "I'm going to need you to follow me around for a bit then, possibly with scales and wings." She grins and it is not a kindly expression. "Best get the tedious questions of why these fine scions of ancient Tyroshi blood should listen to me out of the way quickly."
Alinor: *looking at her clipboard* "I will require a full account audit from your office and please explain these odd receipts while you are at it."
Tyroshi: "What? Why should I have to justify myself to commoner womanfolk?"
HHD-Viserys: *grabs the Tyroshi and gives him a good shake before setting him down again*
Tyroshi: "You have a very loud argument my lady."

By mid afternoon you had impressed Alinor's authority upon all the major officials, or in two memorable cases their successors. The only reason you did not have two more prisoners to be hung together with the looters and pillagers is that if you went down the route of punishing everyone who embezzled from the city coffers before they became yours you likely would not have anyone to manage said coffers at all. Still 'politely' telling those particular worthies to never darken your door again rid you of the pestiferous combination of dishonesty and towering incompetence along the upper echelons of the bureaucracy.
Viserys: "You two are fired."
Tyroshi: "What? Why? When my father hears about this--!"
Viserys: "Please do not finish that sentence or it will become even more difficult for me to not make this statement a lot more literal."

@Duesal, let me dig out the sacrifice proposal I've made.

We should do the common criminals first, since the Day of Blood always left Viserys drained, so it's probably the last thing we do today.

Mmmm, I think we need to up the magic item boosters for Alinor in priority. We're not going to find someone as loyal to us personally, who also is willing to speak to us plainly instead of being yes men (and women). She's feeling the strain, so boosters to help her stay on top of things will do well.

We might also need to form a formal bodyguard for the non-PC high level administrators at this point.

Translating this into Day of Blood:

Sacrifice (Presumed) HD Bonus HD after Bonus
1 Cultist Champion 10 HD +25% (Caster) 12.5 HD
1 Thanadaemon 15 HD +35% (Outsider) 20.25 HD
2 Sorc. Sangudaemons 24 HD +60% (Caster + Outsider) 38.4 HD
6 Lacridaemons 24 HD +35% (Outsider) 32.4 HD
33 Minor Cultists 66 HD - 66 HD
    Total 169.55 HD
    Tier 3 Trees 3.14 HD
Even with the one cultist going to Valeana, that's the full batch of Trees without having to start going into Day of Changes.

I would suggest:
Tyrosh Tree - Cultist Champion, Thanadaemon, 2 Lacridaemons, 6 Cultists
Dawn Fruit Tree - 22 Cultists, 2 Lacridaemons
Philosophers Tree - 2 Sangudaemons, 2 Lacridaemons, 4 Cultists

That keeps most of the human sacrifice to a tree that will not have a huge audience.
@Duesal, here. I would ask you to keep the ratios of daemon to cultist and make sure that the cultists are mulched quickly. The Daemons are better for growing trees away from home.

If the cultists have good HD, we might be able to squeeze out a fourth tree somewhere.

I've asked DP multiple times about the cultists HD and haven't gotten any answer, so at this point we need to assume the worst and plan for 1 HD.

But we do know that we snatched some casters and I did intentionally not include that in my calculations. I think ~2 HD is a good guess and we have 0.14 T3-Tree of leeway with my assessment. I was also informed that the champion is definitely stronger then my guess.

Need to go away for an hour or two, typing down my cliff notes for the speeches.

Yeah, its almost criminal that we'd neglected her like this up to this point. Can you imagine Alinor with a +4 INT booster? She could manage our whole empire while we go about conquering!!!:V:V:V

Your estimation of the champion's HD is also very low. I'll have to go back and check which spells he was slinging, but he's definitely stronger than level 10.

Also, you're wrong about the casters. I asked DP about that. He confirmed we didn't get a single caster. All the casters died in battle.

That's what I mean, will a OG spirit alike Trios manifest. If we grow it inside the temple Candleman will have divine backing aslong as added clause of core OG tenants to teachings.
THe whole point of the thing is having a legitimate god-free religion?
None of the annoyance with powerful spirits bound to act in limited ways, just a nice and clean direction for people.

Why would people want to ruin that?

Alinor should have an item of at-will Divine Insight. If possible, Quickened Divine Insight (Malarys can provide the spell).

Actually that item could make anyone into a competent administrator!

Hrm, what's the location of our Tyroshi tree, since we're delaying the destruction of the fountain? If we put in in the archon's plaza, that makes it a bit out of the way for most of the population since most commoners wouldn't have a reason to go to the inner city in their day-to-day.

Maybe in the quarter where the Second Sons are stationed? It would be in the main part of the city, but also protected militarily.

Plane Shift, Greater – Spell – D&D Tools level 7 Cleric Spell. Which means at least 13 HD

EDIT: Faceless, everybody do the faceless!

@Azel
@DragonParadox, among the 33 cultists we captured (well, 32 now that one was used to hatch the dragon), can you tell us which of them are petty mages?

And also the levels of each of them? Level 5? 4? 3?
None, the mages all went down fighting.

So with that in mind:

Sacrifice (Presumed) HD Bonus HD after Bonus
1 Cultist Champion 13 HD +25% (Caster) 16.5 HD
1 Thanadaemon 15 HD +35% (Outsider) 20.25 HD
2 Sorc. Sangudaemons 24 HD +60% (Caster + Outsider) 38.4 HD
6 Lacridaemons 24 HD +35% (Outsider) 32.4 HD
32 Minor Cultists ??? HD - 32 HD minimum
    Not Counting Cultists 109.55 HD
    Including Cultists 142.55 HD
And then the Day of Change. There are 12 Leukodaemon bows, some of which are enhanced, all of which are +1. They all have a base CL of 5, and Amrelath has 8 bows which we can purchase (and we already have 4).

There is also the Archon-bone Dagger which we have yet to find.

And doubtless we also have more daemon artifacts we need to find.

Beware the poisoned gift!

Alinor arrives at her office to find a gift from her King in her desk. It's a +3 INT booster. "Oh no," she whispers before reading the attached note.

*Alinor, I accidentally Pentos. Send Help.*

Regular Criminals:
- we came to save the city from the creatures of the pit and looting was forbidden for our troops
- great sadness at the looting that did occur anyway, but what now we will bring justice to those who did so
- rule of law will be established in the city
- no man is below the notice of the law, no man too unimportant to be protected by it
- no man is above the law, neither money, nor station, nor the color of your cloak will save you from justice being done
- the law will be a written one that applies to all equally, there will be no more exceptions or rights of habit
- the law will be just to order society, not something wielded by magisters to oppress the masses
- commence judging

Tyrosh Tree:
- prepare some people who are willing to take the blessings of the tree once it is grown, Legionaires, Legionaires in plain-clothes, locals, etc.
- do not announce this, these people will come "spontaneously" to take the gifts
- speech:
- we came to save this city from the creatures of the pit
- greatly saddened by the losses during the fighting that was needed to remove the cancer, especially those poor soul who were enslaved to the wills of these creatures
- great wrath at those who permitted this cancer to grow under their nose and a reconning will come for those magisters and officials who failed in their duties
- great disgust at those who pledged themselves to these dark things, pacting with beings that desire nothing but to destroy and despoil
- the noose isn't enough to remove the stain brought to the city by these people and since they have chosen their side, they will know die along with their daemonic masters
- the Old Golds will cleanse the taint, heal the wounds on body and soul, by taking the fell powers and turning them to wholesome goals
- commence gardening
- let the prepared people go to the tree to take its gifts, thus encouraging others to do the same

Speaking of which... @Diomedon, why don't we just give Alinor the +4 INT Ring? If we need to we can always take it from her and give her the Headband instead if gear needs to be shuffled around for Lya. Right now the ring is just sitting and gathering dust in the treasury. Might as well give it to our best administrator and make her life easier.

I'm still in favor of growing it where Moonsongs group fought the thralls. It's the location with the strongest connection to the fight in the public eye, within the inner city and the damage around it means we can rebuild the whole place to accommodate the tree easily.

I would use the Champion, the Thanadaemon, a Lacridaemon and fill it up with cultists. I see two Daemons as the absolute minimum for this tree for propaganda reasons and I want that Thanadaemon used ASAP before something goes wrong with its confinement.

Also, the sucker is an impressive sacrifice.
