I... am amazed by all this. For Fuck's sake, I almost wanna join them.

@Artemis1992 , I think that this is your religion. No gods, it teaches about what happens to souls in the afterlife. Perfect for you.

This is amazing.
But Yss is going to be kind of pissed...

Meh.
We killed a rival for him and are going for his people in a month.
He can calm his burning godly cloaka down.

@Artemis1992, worship still gives off energy that goes nowhere, he explicitly doesn't like this sort of stuff.

OOC: A few months ago it occurred to me that I made it so that every religion you encountered was somehow backed by divine power to the point where you guys had started to expect divine avatars when you enter a temple, so I figured I would add one that did not actually have a god. That did not feel very engaging on its own so I took the concept a step further with Trios, a religion built as a teaching tool to reveal the underlying truths that other religions are more likely to hide (or at least discount), with the excellence cult growing naturally out of it as I considered the backstory,
If it wasn't Trios what then sent the Maenad's, or are we confusing Trios with another Tyroshi god?

No, as I understand it, he dislikes people promising something for worship they can't and don't deliver.

Trios promises nothing but a chance for self-improvement. And reincarnations that happen anyway.

It has to do with mortals being dumb enough to accept the whole truth, I think. But their dumbed down version of cosmology might be able to help us in the long term. It has to be accessible somehow to the uneducated.
The less esoteric problem is with its "Everyone be the best in his place" stance, which might conflict with the social upheaval we will bring.

After the transition it will still be a valid thing to follow
Yes, it's not a big problem, but it will take some delicate work to convince slaves that have been told to be the best in their position by their religion that it's now okay to try something else to be good at.

No insurmountable problem, but something we shouldbe careful with to avoid angry and dissapointed masses.

Called it! Wasn't thinking it was a Wax Golden, but I was right about it being a Construct.

We're leaving our friend not!Dionysus for last, of the three major religions, since how we're dealing with the other two informs how much and in what ways we can censure them for westhaven. Sadly, it's looking like not very much. If we had to burn a temple down, which would mean we'd already have to deal with riots, we might as well have stomped the fountain and shrines, but given the Red Priests and likely Trios will fall in line, we shouldn't cause a riot. We'll likely just have to make clear we don't really favor him, and push the OG as a replacement that some might embrace.

Meh, "slave" is not the actual position. They were servants, crafters, masons, bakers. Their profession won't change.

Doesn't proscribe what that place should be. Slavery inhibits the attainment of excellence and reformers must also aspire.

Damn! The last update was really gripping, now I'm expecting a serious showdown at the Fountain :p

We should really restock in spells before we go there though.

[X] "you are Awesome! This can't be maintained indefinitely, but how may I assist in your transition? Clerics of ideal of personal excellence sound like it would be achievable, but, I need to ask first, what did your progenitor consider to be the mistakes of his culture, good sir?"
