I don't really know what else to tell you. It was pretty obvious that using Amrelath was more or less an instant win in intimidation, and it's an outright miracle of the dice that one city didn't surrender. If Waymar and Dany scheme so that the Dothraki don't get to conquer the city, that's it. There are no other cities to conquer without ruining our plans. We don't have the time for a fetch quest into the Dothraki Sea. And we don't have the time for a fetch quest in guiding the Dothraki in slaying monsters. If this city doesn't work out for them then we're kind of stuck with awkwardly giving them horses and equipment while apologizing for the lack of a fight.
We don't have time to do it personally, but we can send a few PCs with him and fight in the Dothraki sea, it's undead so if Rina can stand working with Dothraki she would be perfect for it.

Well yes, that's why I didn't vote for that plan :p

He can get that fighting undead in the Dothraki Sea, and with the Tower we can get his Khalazar there in an afternoon.
That's assuming that his horde will even enter the tower, remember they're highly superstitious and view all magic as uncontrollable and dangerous. In addition, it will cost valuable PC time, time that we are in short supply of in the coming months.

I suggest giving the Khal a few Leshies with templates. I suggest Advanced, and Druid Creature or Cleric Creature (DP allowed Druid Creature already) to buff his forces and act as healers, and so allow him to tangle with undead (even incorporeal undead) and win.
That way he can go back towards the undead, kill a few bands of them and return with trophies and glory to lure more Dothraki to his cause.

This'll take a few weeks of travel for him, but he has months to do this.
Sadly, this will slow our cavalry's training and horse-breeding.

This may be not a huge problem, as we probably aren't really going to need a large cavalry force until we hit Westeros itself. Our next few moves are going to be made against the other free cities and we're going to be dropping massive amounts on infantry inside their walls like we just did. Cavalry isn't very good at fighting in towns anyway.

I kind of like the Sublime template for a few leshys, should go well with the cleric one. Or would that combo make them too pricy?
Also, DP, what is your ruling on Vine leshys and Mushroom leshys, and also Oaklings? Are they within the abilities of the fungus forge, or since they are full fledged pc capable, would they require more research and/or current PC actions?

With our diplomacy skills getting them into the tower should be easy, it wouldn't cost that much PC time, and it would give us opportunity to level our lower level PCs up assisting in fighting undeads.

all battle we aren't involved in will not be won by evil

I've found little evidence of that...though seriously, just because it wasn't won by evil doesn't mean it is to our benefit, we are trying to conquer the world here...

Why don't we have Dany and Weymar (and Amrelath more to the point) go do that right now and bring them here instead of worrying about how long it would take them to march here?

I don't get all the sadness. We got best of both worlds. We didn't have to back down to the magisters, we have a city in rebellion that our Khal can take to demonstrate his prowess, and the rest fell in line. With only a single city in rebellion, it makes it even easier to support our Khal. We have a nice breadth of examples, from the worst of the magisters in Tyrosh, who will recieve various punishments, to traitor magisters in this city who will be utterly ruined.

This is provided that Dany and Waymar don't get their way and manage to take the city while not using Dothraki.

True. If I had woken up before the last vote was closed I would have suggested that if any refused to surrender and submit, to just leave with an ominous warning that we would return to be dealt with later. As has often happened, our competent companions and subordinates often over-produce results if we're not explicit enough. Heck, even our incompetent minions do that *coughAuranecough*

But yeah. Between the strength of our party members, the fact that the Dothraki are a full two weeks away, and Waymar and Dany committed to taking the city and denying the Dothraki their chance, I'm writing this off as a lost cause. We've shot ourselves in the foot with this.

@tarrangar, you might be on to something with sending the baby adventurers into the Dothraki Sea. The only thing stopping us is that we need to keep an eye on Valaena's dragon in its developmental stages, but other than that we can pair them with the Dothraki and send them off to fight the undead.

the princess asked, having seemingly won a staring contest with something that had neither eyelids nor eyes.
Just a reminder, since everyone seems to have gotten used to it: Our sister.

Winning a stare-off with the city-destroying monster that causes supernatural panik and paralysis with its gaze. That drives lesser minds to flee by its mere presence.

Ah salt, i missed thy kiss.
Seriously, this is not that bad, just take a myrish city as a show of force and negotiate with Zhaerys so he offers them "protection" for a while.

That goes against pretty much all our plans. The majority of the thread does not want Zherys anywhere near the Three Daughters. Those are ours, and we're going to take them by surprise. Sending the Dothraki after one of Myr's cities is not an option.
Wait so the Dothraki sea is a field of undead right?
Yes. Sarnori undead. We killed one of the champions and got a neat cursed sword out of it, which we then traded to some Sarnori traders in exchange for a nice Ring of False Flight for Garin.

Okay so we need to open a new front is what I'm hearing. While I do not advocate a two front war I'm okay with letting the Dothraki fight the undead out

Then send our own embassador to Myr.
"Viserys Targaryen, Dragon King of the Stepstones sends his regards. The taking of -insert city here- (bonus points if the Herald says that in a different more robotic voice) was a show of force and a message. Tyrosh has grown stronger under our wings, not weaker, and further incursions into our portion of the disputed lands shall be met with swift retribution, you may continue to squabble with the Lyseni as you wish, but the borders of the Royal Hinterlands are now set and secured, you have been warned"

No worries, actually. These undead aren't normal undead, they're vengeful undead, specifically against the Dothraki. Literally all they care about is genociding the Dothraki, they've been leaving everyone else alone.

That said, they are a very nice source of XP and loot. I would not mind going on that fetch quest to Vaes Dothraki.

The Sarnori should be apathetic to our empire, they are only after the Dothraki so we could send ours without having to invest our legions or others troops besides the baby PCs in there.

It's not really a front.

The parts with the most undead, the former Sarnor, is several territories away from us.
The undead would have to cross the Rhoyne and pass through the forest of Qohor or over the Painted Mountains or through the area Volantis is conquering right now.

We can make expeditions to fight there and have very little to fear from retaliation.

@das_slash, I'm sorry, but this really, really doesn't seem fitting to the tale what are we're selling to everyone

Us having conspired with Sealord in making an anti-viserys coalition in Braavos, us making alliance between Archons and Relath, us having taken only _Tyrosh_ satellite cities, us having asked Iron Bank to spin them a tale of us being concerned only with Westeros and etc?

It all plays a very important role - show us off in such a light that big dumb fucks in charge other free cities don't get desperate and start making mass sacrifices to fiends in a desperate attempt to fend us off.

Or worse, getting Zherys to protect them.
Fucking Zherys.
*starts to butthurt*

I mean, we're standing on the blade's edge right now.
One wrong move, and they're running around like headless chickens scared shitless.

We don't want that happening.

Time to mAke an example its time to kill the scrubs.
No, not really.
Chances are, Danny and Waymar will push for making this city surrender by themselves.
Not much of an example to make, when you have their amounts of firepower.
And a fuckmothering dracolich.

If our dothraki would have gotten there, then yes, we would've killed, like, 3 birds with 1 stone -showed off our clearly mercanarious forces (whom other free cities would see no way of doing anything but fighting, so, most likely, meant for westeros), we would've made an example out of this unimportant city's lords and we would've given our dothraki much needed pr-boost.

Now... well, unless DP takes pity on us (which I doubt he will, characterisation that been going for 1.5 million words says they wouldn't like to spill blood "needlessly"), we just shot ourselves in the foot.
