I am honestly confused where the bloodthirst is coming from. These are not madmen, not slavers, not murderous bandits, yet some are content to pretend that ~3-4k IM means something to us, just to provoke a fight?

We have enemies aplenty, fuck, we're drowning in enemies, so why add more?
We are lacking in completly passive and stationary enemies we can use to train our fresh adventurers.

These guys are obviously incapable of getting shit done, or they would have sought out their descendants as soon as magic returned.

@DragonParadox
Does it seem likely to Viserys that the undead here will venture out of their city if we kill the leader now and then only return occasionally for plunder and training?

No they are bound in place. That said there are plenty of stationary enemies North of the wall. You have a map full of options.

Speaking of that map, @DragonParadox can you give us the info on it OOC so we could consider our options? How many low, mid, and high-level ruins there are, what enemies are in there, what dangers we'd be expected to face, etc. We could start planning on places to send baby adventurers or even party members if we had that information on hand.

I'm with @Artemis1992 on this one. The Undead have no business placing demands on the living. I've had all I can stomach with Amrelath.

-[X] Viserys casts Quickened Ancestral Awakening to learn Halt Undead and Greater Disrupt Undead. He then targets the Lorekeeper with Greater Disrupt Undead, then uses Celerity, followed by another Greater Disrupt Undead.
-[X] Malarys uses Rebuke Undead against the Lorekeeper. He uses Stifle Spell if the Lorekeeper attempts to cast a spell.
-[X] Waymar targets the Lorekeeper with his Extraordinary Lightning Lance power, remaining within Richard's Holy Aura for this round.
-[X] Richard activates his armor's Holy Aura and his Earring's True Seeing, but does not immediately attack, choosing instead to keep Viserys protected within his Holy Aura.

Pretty sure the vote can be called unless some disagreeing voices matters more...

Edit: Sorry that was unnecessary, ill just be disappointed if diplomacy failed because: 'this unrelated undead thing' or 'lets leave the city booby trapped because dungeon'

Sure, there are stationary threats, but as we have seen with the little bear-sidequest there also moving agents of different strenghts.

The North is big and should theoretically have threats all the way up to epic, even if those aren't active yet.

Here meanwhile we can scout a bit and get a decent impression of the most powerful undead around and then assume all other dangers are propably lower than that.

Garin is already too Dexterous for even Mithral Medium Armor. He's at the point where the heaviest armor he can wear without losing DEX bonus is a Mithral Chain Shirt.

Yeah, when I made that comment to DP about it being perfect for Garin, I was kinda tired. Meant to say Theon, though even for him it will only be good for as long as his Dexterity bonus doesn't go any higher than +3.

I've adequately napped now, though, so that shouldn't happen again. For now.

The vote is looking pretty overwhelming.

What did Amrelath even do? Ye gods, he was locked in our loot by no choice of his own, what a villain! It means "The Undead" are on the blacklist for all time! Where's Jorel? :V

Jokes aside, if we are to deny what's left of the Sarnori/Tall Men the knowledge of their ancestors, then why are we even in the Empire business? A resurgent Kingdom of Sarnor under us is fanfuckingtastic, man.

So do what the guys want who have been doing nothing but sitting around and hindering people for the entirety of their undead existance.
Whatever, on to the next vote and decision, not letting this one drag me down!

Jorel is not Undead, he's a construct.
And I actually like most Undead we met so far, mostly Wylla and Amrelath, I just hate those whose sole point of existance is being an obstacle for others, with no plans or actions of their own other than pure defence.

He inhabits a construct, but he would count as "Undead", I think.

They are bound to this place. I mean, would you rather they do what the rest(of those we met) of the restless dead of Sarnor have done, torment the Dothraki to no en- alright, I guess that's not so bad, but they do take things too far!

I actually prefer that. They are at least taking steps to address their issues rather than wait around for adventurers to show up and solve them.

And about being bound to the city, that's no excuse for a powerful mage.
If this Loremaster is actually a Loremaster in mechanical terms, or any kind of mage that could be a decent challenge for Viserys he has access to level 5 spells at least.

He coul Scry for his decendants, or use other Divination.
He could contact people who aren't bound via magic.
He could research rituals or spells to allow him to change his handicaps.

That he doesn't act is part of his pathetic state, not any particular local binding, that a skilled mage would have a dozen ways of getting around.
For an extreme example of how little hindrance physical bindings are see Bloodraven.

If it was so simple, I'm sure that's what they'd have done, but I assume DP's some reason they can't, else why even ask us to do it? We've no clue why they're even bound to this place or what it even entails, what restrictions are in place, what their reasons are. We're not the QM, we're the players. Why assume they can do these things if we've not a clue if they can or can't?

DP already said before last update that I was expecting to much agency from this kind of Undead, so I'm assuming that's the reason they aren't getting anything done.

Lanna and Gerion Lannister added to the "Other Adventurers" sheet.

We have almost no information on them. We literally have nothing on Gerion while we only know that Lanna is a Sha'ir, that she has Craft Wand, and that she's somewhere above level 6.

Worrying, but on the bright side we also probably scare them enough that they actively avoid us.
