A magesight would do it. No need for third level spells.
Can we get vee to heal the other person to consciousness and ask the name of the tomb for find the path and then knock him out again or is that not worth it? Also, we should check for quasits - it'll kill the unconscious man and burn down the place.
There's also the lamentations of their women. Is there any sweeter way to power then over the shattered bones and lifeless carcasses of your enemies?
Maybe something like Wrack would be a better idea
High level undead casters aren't good enemies to have.Ugh, If Lya and Waymar were not here, I'd push to ignore the priestess and go grab Illyrio. Cutting the Northern Land East-West trade route with an army of the undead doesn't harm our geopolitical position at all. I'm betting he has a teleport item of some sort (relic?), but needs to escape the anti-teleport wards over the catacombs before he can use it. Or possibly needs to have someone from the outside teleport in to nab him, which is why he needs to get up and out.
I'm not sure this is unilaterally true tbh.Bad idea, sorry. A Good deity will not like the idea of participating in blood sacrifice.
@DragonParadox is the other old guy conscious?
If so, @Azel, maybe command the guy who's curse is unbroken to tell the first dude the name of the u
Of course she does. Damn B-List Villain bitch...
The tactical situation remains. Illyrio has bolted away from his Plane-Shift ticket and as long as he is on the Prime Material, the Wayfinder can track him down, even just the dead body if somebody gets to him before we do. There is no reason to chase him right now, since it's highly unlikely that they have a divination warded hideout out in the steppes or another caster capable of Plane Shift or Teleport in the area. If Illyrio had an item or other means to Teleport, he would be already gone. He will either have to bail on foot, by horse or on a boat. Nothing of that is even remotely fast enough to escape Viserys, even he drains every of his spell-slots, down to the last cantrip.
[X] Follow your new guide hopefully to the priestess
-[] Cast Find the Path, targeting the tomb of the High Priest.
-[] Trust the spell over the guide, but keep him along just in case.
Waking up the Undead would be very, very annoying. Waking them up on our terms might be beneficial, though they would probably demand the Golems back, since they are theirs.
Definitely should have a look at it anyway, since we might learn something nice there.
Edit: Dammit. Can't this unwashed bastard not even keep a name straight?
Fine, but I will have that fucker's head on a stick.
But you're right, priorities.
Can't have some trumped up whore causing a budget zombie apocalypse, until we complete the Plane of Beach Parties all our stuff is stuck in this shithole.
[X] Azel
I hope he runs, I hope he runs far and fast, I hope he spends the rest of his short, short, life looking over his shoulder in fear and digging the biggest bolt hole he possibly can.
He's only going to die tired.
Braavos has the Moonsingers. The Weeping Lady is mainly based in Lys.I'm not sure this is unilaterally true tbh.
Maybe the Weeping Lady would be against blood sacrifice, because she is generally worshipped in Braavos and most of the blood sacrifices back then were slaves.
Wouldn't be surprised if a more Martially inclined Good diety didn't have a problem with it though.
I mean, you could always ask beforehand?Braavos has the Moonsingers. The Weeping Lady is mainly based in Lys.
I personally wouldn't count on Good deities being chill with blood sacrifice, but eh. I've been surprised before. I just think that the Lys situation as a whole is too delicate to risk getting the Weeping Lady involved since there's too great a chance she might disapprove.
Bad idea, sorry. A Good deity will not like the idea of participating in blood sacrifice.
We are really not prepared for fighting Undead right now. Spells are depleted, we have the wrong buffs in place, and one of our Clerics isn't here
We convinced the Archon's on the value of blood sacrifice, their only doubt, was whether feeding the Malor to Yss was just exchanging one evil for another, if they had known how chill and LN Yss is, then they would have had no complaints at all, so that proves Good outsiders can be convinced to accept blood sacrifice, it's just a matter of the right targets, and only sacrificing to beings that aren't evil.Braavos has the Moonsingers. I would be surprised if a God didn't already know we did a shit ton of blood magic, honestly.
Plus, we've only interacted with like, 2 Good dieties throughout the entire quest, and that was all before we really got on the whole blood sacrifice train.
I feel as though everyone assumes all Good Dieties are going to be stupid and stubborn when we've only really seen that kind of behavior from Bahamut and Tiamat.
Sorry, I've just got zero interest in potential complications. This is an insanely delicate operation that might blow up in our face even if the Weeping Lady doesn't get involved. And even if we need help, we have two different gods we know are perfectly chill with blood sacrifice who could lend a hand in exchange for a meal.We could just ask. If the clergy and the goddess agrees we can place other effects on the Heart Tree other than hiding it from everyone else. They can defend it too.
Yeah. A nat 20 was what convinced them. How about no, let's not try to convince the Good deity to go along with blood sacrifice. We convinced the Archon's on the value of blood sacrifice, their only doubt, was whether feeding the Malor to Yss was just exchanging one evil for another, if they had known how chill and LN Yss is, then they would have had no complaints at all, so that proves Good outsiders can be convinced to accept blood sacrifice, it's just a matter of the right targets, and only sacrificing to beings that aren't evil.
It's a good thing we didn't reapply the buffs on the way here, I guess. Now at least we've got a few spells to spare for anti-undead buffs. We are really not prepared for fighting Undead right now. Spells are depleted, we have the wrong buffs in place, and one of our Clerics isn't here

Hopefully we can still catch Illyrio rather than let him get away since if nothing else he has information we can use, once we remove the likely curse on him preventing him from talking about it.Night guys, see you in the morning with probably the end of the arc.
We had way lower diplomacy scores then, and we didn't even know Yss alignment, I expect we would need at most a 10, to convince an Archon to accept sacrificing demons to Yss now.Yeah. A nat 20 was what convinced them. How about no, let's not try to convince the Good deity to go along with blood sacrifice.
