What if they die? Extraplanar environments are stupidly dangerous, and such a group wouldn't have access to Plane Shift or even Planar Attunement/Resist Energy :/
So long as they don't all die we can resurrect them, and even if they do we can try to find their remains for the resurrection, it's not like we have to send them on the high risk contracts.

We should probably send the Draco-lich with them as well, he would probably appreciate getting started on his hoard quick, and I would like to get a mission or 2 out of him before we resurrect him.

Some random thoughts I have. Also backreading Mantarys arc for the lols.

* Azema's still missing from the front page. She has the Amulet of Protection from Good, right?

Also the Molten Sky Mirror and the Driftwood Crown.

* How about we increase Moonsong's fleet when they go back to Sothorys' waters? Time to lease a ship to Asha?

* We still don't know what does the Star Seeker's enchanted anchor do...

* @Azel, can our smelter create glass? If it can, we can try for greenhouses for the Night's Watch, and spice up our city with glass windows. If not, how do we go about getting it?

* @Duesal, when sacrificing for the Lys tree, how about we get the cooperation of the church of the Weeping Lady? If she can "succour" the Genius Loci to render it calm enough to bond with the Heart Tree, won't it empower her as well? She stands most to benefit from this seeing as Lys has one of her major temples. Surely she does not want them and her worshippers smashed by an earthquake. We can have her face on the tree.

That said... What do we want to get from making the Landwarden bond with the Old Gods?

Part MDCCLXXV: By Fate Divided
By Fate Divided

Seventeenth Day of the First Month 293 AC

You and Ser Richard easily push aside the locked door to find a lavishly decorated meeting room, the floor paneled with rich oak, goldenwood, and maple. A square stone table is set in its center upon which lie scattered documents and maps that tell of a hasty exit in the light of a mage-lantern hanging slightly askew from the fancifully carved ceiling. Around it stand a dozen sturdily but elegant chairs, covered in fine emerald satin. If this place had once been a tomb then it had been either expensively modified or the original occupant had a uniquely martial taste in funerary arrangements.

The only inhabitants of the chamber are a nervous slight man who looks to be perhaps a little past fifty standing in a half-known or perhaps half-remembered swordsman's stance, while his companion seems to be dying... messily. The flesh is peeling slowly from his bones as though from thousands of raking cuts. So much for intimidation...

You briefly consider using the dregs of your deeper magics to save the man with an act of manifest will, until you realize that you are able to cast only one more sixth circle spell and thus none of the seventh.

"I would like that man alive," you indicate the sellsword who is still up, before drawing from your bag a scroll-case you had held onto for more than half-a-year, since your first visit to Volantis.

Words to break and uproot curses and other insidious magics mix briefly with the sounds of the other sellsword being subdued by Waymar and Ser Richard with near-contemptuous ease then as the magic burns itself from the parchment the man on the floor, the would-be traitor stops screaming... an encouraging sign if ever you have seen one.

Lost Scroll of Remove Curse

"Keeping you alive following your commendable if rather late decision to abandon the house on fire has cost me limited resources. Speak up... and for your sake I hope you have an interesting tale to tell about your former superiors," you say as Vee heals the man somewhat, though without wasting spells on him.

"They're gone... fat fuck and the crazy bitch left us to hang once the little... spirit came in here to warn us."

Maelor snorts. "We already know it was a demon, don't worry though we keep an open mind," the boy finishes idly moving aside a lock of hair to show his horns.

"As it happens, we know that none of them have left the catacomb." you interject. "What thing of interest lies in these directions...?" You briefly indicate the last known whereabouts of your two fugitives.

"Fat Man probably heading up and away," the shaken sellsword replies. "But I can't think of where..." He trails off before launching into a vigorous and mildly creative invective. "She's gonna rile up the dead, break the seals... That's where the tomb of High Priest Sash-something is. The Smith made a deal 'r bound him, I'm not sure. But it was really bad down here before that. No way you could live here, hell it was almost more than your life's worth to poke your head in least you were a Delver, and even one of them rarely made it to his third trip."

What do you do?

OOC: Hope it's alright that I had the scroll used without a vote. It's both replaceable and relatively cheap now.

Theoretically yes, but it would be of abysmal quality and making proper panes from it is nearly impossible.

We would need a dedicated glass kiln for that and we lack the expertise in the field to make one. Something for after conquering Myr, who have the best glassmakers on Planetos.

However, it's probably only worthwhile if we can get the recipe for glasssteel from the Shaitan.

Gonna write a level up plan for Maelor when I get home from work.

I was thinking of destabilizing Myr's glass economy if we can make our own. How about we buy the process (to make clear glass, not glassteel) from the Shaitan? Also can we place vents on the everburning forge to fuel other forges, kilns, heaters... generators :D?

I guess we don't want some undead Highpriest and his legions of Doom unleashed.

@DragonParadox
Would "the nearest tomb of a Highpriest" be a valid target for Find the Path?

Of course she does. Damn B-List Villain bitch...

The tactical situation remains. Illyrio has bolted away from his Plane-Shift ticket and as long as he is on the Prime Material, the Wayfinder can track him down, even just the dead body if somebody gets to him before we do. There is no reason to chase him right now, since it's highly unlikely that they have a divination warded hideout out in the steppes or another caster capable of Plane Shift or Teleport in the area. If Illyrio had an item or other means to Teleport, he would be already gone. He will either have to bail on foot, by horse or on a boat. Nothing of that is even remotely fast enough to escape Viserys, even he drains every of his spell-slots, down to the last cantrip.

-[] Cast Find the Path, targeting the tomb of the High Priest.
-[] Trust the spell over the guide, but keep him along just in case.

Waking up the Undead would be very, very annoying. Waking them up on our terms might be beneficial, though they would probably demand the Golems back, since they are theirs.
Definitely should have a look at it anyway, since we might learn something nice there.

Edit: Dammit. Can't this unwashed bastard not even keep a name straight?

Step one: Check for Quasit.

I say we go after the cleric and then stop her, or capture her, and then diplomance or destroy the undead peeps depend if we get them in an unusually good mood or not.

-[X] Suggest the other man to seek out the Smith's workshop before making any decisions, your means to break further curses are limited here, but your friends up there could.

We sure as hell aren't wasting Malarys' Greater Dispel on the other guy.

Doesn't work without name, just above your post.

Get the fat man later he can't teleport, and he can only waddle so far.

Seen and edited out. I'm livid at the guys willful ignorance costing us the easy way.

This showdown will see us arriving the moment bitch strikes a bargain, and then we have a nice showdown with her, the undead highpriest, his closest (magic) mummy advisors and legions of chaff.

Vee would have already cast Invisibility Purge if it was up to me.

@Azel Add it to your plan, please?

Bad idea, sorry. A Good deity will not like the idea of participating in blood sacrifice.

Ugh, If Lya and Waymar were not here, I'd push to ignore the priestess and go grab Illyrio. Cutting the Northern Land East-West trade route with an army of the undead doesn't harm our geopolitical position at all. I'm betting he has a teleport item of some sort (relic?), but needs to escape the anti-teleport wards over the catacombs before he can use it. Or possibly needs to have someone from the outside teleport in to nab him, which is why he needs to get up and out.

Thank you, @Diomedon, now my paranoia has found some logic to latch onto and is running more rampant than ever before.
Can we have Aradia follow him with Wayfinder and snipe the fucker the moment he comes out?

A magesight would do it. No need for third level spells.

Can we get vee to heal the other person to consciousness and ask the name of the tomb for find the path and then knock him out again or is that not worth it? Also, we should check for quasits - it'll kill the unconscious man and burn down the place.
