I just don't like that schedule. At all.

On another note: @TotallyNotEvil @Azel as our gear and optimization people, what do you think of Gate Compasses? They're super cheap and very effective. Should we make a few? Leila could make them.

Leila might have gone with, but just as likely not (she has the added excuse of a lot of work to do). Mercy probably went along as well as the party healer, since not going exploring doesn't sound much like her.

Edit: I see we decided to go with the impatience route. Eh. *Shrugs* We didn't really get good battle divination, we used our commune to narrow down Illyrio's location.

Azel's reasoning has more to do with straight forward paranoia, @Diomedon.

To be fair to our contract devil... is it really unreasonable when they really are out to get you?
 
If Daemon's Folly is going on right now then I definitely want Leila right there with them. She's not missing out on a chance for more XP. Also, the baby adventurers need a proper healer.
 
Hrm, how are we getting to the city? I just realized if we're not trying to teleport directly to him, our closest teleport point is Essaria, which is (roughly) the same distance away as the distance between Pentos and Lys (or Pentos and Qohor for an east-west comparison).

On the other hand... Is it wise for us to take this Velrok body into a fight with, possibly, Tiamat's cleric? Paranoia as it is, but it's both that Amrelath will be weaker and that I'm afraid of Tiamat shenanigans.
 
Yeah, my worry is that Tiamat might try something or another with the weakened Amrelath, which is why I hadn't minded the wait. Well, more that it's a good reason in retrospect, truth be told. :p

Oh, and I have to say, that this whole Amrelath nonsense... Well, it ended fairly different from how I imagined.
I feel like I've been one of (if not the) most vocal people on the matter of dealing with him.
I certainly imagined us having to resort to getting Yss inside shadow tower, sacrificing him someone to do his thing, all that jazz...
And of course, I imagined epic battle with dracolich, our full party coming to bear their set of Dany-buffs against him and utterly wrecking this frail skeleton, before sacrificing it to Yss. Because best snek deserves all the power we can give it .

I mean, I'm even quite happy with how it ended, having him as an ally/servant? Fucking great, we'll sure make great use if him both for PR and for our insidious schemes... And Shadow Tower being fully-operational is just sweet.

Rebuking or Controlling a Dracolich is nearly impossible.
Dragons have a lot of HD for their CR, no cleric remotly on the expected level of power could control Amrelath.

He should have around between 16 and 20 HD, I would guess, if he was a hard but possible challenge back in Mantarys.
A Cleric that could take control over that could also wipe SD from the map with little effort.
