@DragonParadox, how about a small bag of stone that was shaped by glaciers in the far north? Could we maybe have picked up something like that while we where with Bloodraven?

Those do not look very distinctive so no, now if you were willing to sell some of that Blue Ice it would have decent rarity value

I think that is too much emphasis on consumables which may not be too highly prized. I would decrease the spices, tea, and booze significantly, and increase the silks and furs.

@Azel sell them food too, nonmagically made. Recall how the Djinn princess thought of eating.
Too bulky. I thought about 2000 IM of salted meats, but that would be a literal shipload.

I thought about trying to sell them as magical ingredients, since it's stone that was shaped by ice (water + air).

@Goldfish?

We flooded the market with salt, so we can't really sell that for a while yet...

OH.

I HIT UPON IT!

Honey! We have all those beekeepers!

We are selling luxury goods either way and I prefer a good spread for our first attempt over trying to cash in on what might be good product.

The thing about consumables is that we need to provide enough to spread the knowledge about it. More Shaitan drinking wine means more Shaitan who will get a hankering for it.

It will be. We're making a ritual for it (well, Lya and...our little sister are making a ritual for it).

Magic!
I would still rather go with transforming a woman, she might decide she likes being a CotF and stay that way, which gives the opportunity for more CotF children, or half bloods if she still want a human lover, and the transformation might give her the CotFs inherent ability to become druids.

Crimes against god later, we've got schmucks to fleece of their hard earned valuables money to make!

My interests are quite adequately represented by Azel on that matter.

Though something to consider. If gold is as common as gravel, it might be cheaper to buy gold here, and then buy crafting materials via Planetos prices.

@Diomedon There's a scarcity of goods, so DP would limit the amount we could buy at any one time.

Not so in these major trading hubs in the Planes.

I was thinking the same thing and this is why I added booze to the list. We might be able to sell Tyroshi pear brandy for literally its weight in gold here, which would make it much, much easier to keep that economy afloat.

@DragonParadox, can we get a seperate vote on what to buy instead of everything going to crafting materials?

@Goldfish?

Too much on ink, too. They probably don't have paper to write on it with, and if they do, there should be plenty of mineral-based ink available. Maybe split it between ink and fine parchment?

The idea here is that squid ink works the same as pearls, namely as a reagent for magical artisans. I would wager that squid ink works much better to scribe scrolls of Water spells then mineral based inks.

@DragonParadox, this is something I wanted to bug you with in the Economics conversation anyway. Any chance for us to get a rough price per kilogram for common trade goods?

Right now, it's a rather arbitrary split between different kinds of trade good.

Most people actually have a pretty strong body identity, and wouldn't want to not be themselves for a prolonged period of time. Transforming, uh, product can be done for an IM instead of a 100 IM.

Eh, I mean it's sand shaped by fire so it might have some novelty value.

If she's making it by magic though it'll probably not be that-

Wait.

Do these guys even have the concept of glass?

Cause if not then those might be more valuable than I thought.

We don't have a dedicated glasswork. Any glass produced as a byproduct of the smelter will be really low quality.

Any chance we could actually make more money than we spend here on reagents? Or at least recoup some of those costs?

Some of this stuff should be rare.

I'm sure we have some high quality glass in the Keep. Take a few pieces with us to show it off, and spike the price for our next visit - and come on, we're going to make at least another one.
