So, I think that we should open with Searing Agonizing Firebrand, which they won't save against, and then pick off the rest with searing Fireballs.

And maybe loot one of them alive. Anyway, I want one of their bodies for the Trophy Room
They have fire immunity. Be really, what doesn't have fire immunity these days?

They have +10 Will. Imperious Glare will hit them all for DC 24 vs cower for 14 rounds.

Shaitan are douchebags, though not as much as Marids, but they aren't generally inherently evil. They do, however, practice slavery with a pervasiveness that would give the masters in Slaver's Bay inadequacy issues. Helping them now wouldn't hurt, but deliberately not helping them would probably cause us issues, since they more likely than not have the equivalent of Good Samaritan/Bystander laws requiring others to aid them in these types of circumstances. Yeah, they're that kind of Lawful Neutral.

@DragonParadox Is the cavern large enough for Viserys to comfortably use HHD form?

And does Starmantle work on natural weapons?

All genies are douchebags in their own ways. Even Air Djinn should be too high on their CG drugs to help you regularly.

So I'd rather ally with the LN guys. The perfect allies.

OTOH, "we didn't make it in time".

If we want to fight, same strategy we had against the mouthers work: Freezing Glance beforehand, Necrotic Bomb + Imperious Glare + Freezing Glance on someone that resisted + Celerity + Imperious Glare + Freezing Glance if someone's still standing.

They have high Fort saves. Not sure if it would be worth wasting a Necrotic Bomb on them.

Eh, +14 vs DC 23 isn't bad for a swift action. Especially as it gets all of them. Agonizing we have used as a swift action before, so a searing pain fireball could lower their saves to +8 vs DC 24 for the Glares.

Malarys could throw a Wave of Grief or something at them. These battles with a bunch of opponents are lovely for certain spells.

Thing is that half the plane will know what we do here. We've met traders mere minutes after clearing the route since they all divined it.

Big Divination is watching us.

For instance, they're the type of legalistic asses who, if they are as draconian in if you imagine them to be, will punish you if you decide to just stand aside and let them fight it out on their own...

...but it would also mean that if there are similar incentives for someone rescuing a noble of theirs, just as an example, say a reward of some sort... well, it wouldn't matter if they don't like you personally. They would probably threaten you if you turned down that reward.

"Shut up and take my money!"

[X] Aid the Shaitans
-[X] Get back in MHD shape if you aren't already
-[X] Open with Searing Agonising Firebrand, followed by Celerity and Imperious Glare at all the metallic Monsters
-[X] Richard charges one, Dany casts Streamers on several foes, Malarys does what he thinks is best.

Preliminary plan. I'm half hoping this is all some sort of illusion or a test arranged by the Shaitan. Good thing Viserys never used his earring in the previous encounter, as True Seeing will help us figure that out.

[X] We will aid the Shaitan, as we are not in friendly territory and we have no way of knowing who tracks our progress through Divination magics.
-[X] While traveling toward the cavern at best possible speed, Viserys assumes MHD form and casts Shield and Mirror Image. Right before entering the cavern he uses his earring to gain True Seeing as a Swift Action, then casts Haste, Greater Blink (using two 4th level spell slots), and Freezing Glance.
--[X] Viserys opens battle with a Searing Agonizing Firebrand, targeting any Forgefiend he can see, carefully avoiding any surviving Shaitan, and the corpses of the fallen if possible, then uses Freezing Glance against the nearest enemy. He follows this with a Necrotic Bomb, again avoiding Shaitain, then casts Celerity, targets another Forgefiend with Freezing Glance, and uses Imperious Glare against any survivors.
--[X] Dany casts Streamers, sending both Streamers against the Forgefiend she believes poses the most danger to the beleaguered Shaitan.
--[X] Richard uses his amulet to gain 12 Temp HP as a Swift Action before entering the cavern. Once battle begins, he chooses a promising Forgefiend to engage, using Shock Trooper to Pounce on it, then Power Attacking as he sees fit.
--[X] Malarys casts as he sees fit, hopefully either targeting a single Forgefiend for destruction or attempting to impede all of them.
--[X] Echo Caller does as he sees fit.
