@DragonParadox, are you sure you didn't mean wan smile instead of vain?

Still totally not a grammar nazi. This is about vocabulary after all :p.

That aside, I wonder how Royces would react to learning Waymar is currently a fish (thing).

Or Brynden Tully.

Even more than Mantarys, I really wanted to see her reaction to our tendency to steal away maidens in trouble, and particularly Waymar's trouble with Hermetia (and his success in resisting her advances).

Uhm...guys. Advice regarding Dorne? Please?

...kinda begging you here >.<

Just bring up resurrecting Elia to win their full loyalty, and don't mention anything about a marriage pact. It was Ser Darry who oversaw the final negotiations, so she might just figure that without her there they fell through.

I suspect this is where we're going to have to start coming clean about Lya. Unfortunately. To that end, I'd like to add something to the point dedicated to Dorne, of how we have renegotiated that deal...but if I do that we aren't going to have any choice except to admit why.
@Snowfire, I really do think you're over-reacting on this. Why is Lya going to be so horrifying to Rhaella? Viserys loves Lya, that much will be obvious to anyone. And Rhaella already knows Lya is a mage--something she hasn't condemned. Rhaella's major concern with Dorne? That at least one of the Seven Kingdoms throws in their support with us. We've already successfully renegotiated the deal so we can avoid the marriage alliance by bringing Elia back. Why is this such a horrifying thing? We're not Rhaegar who abandoned duty when he eloped with Lyanna. We were always with Lya, and we didn't exactly need Dorne. If anything Dorne needed us and still needs us.

Alright, so Plan A it is. This is what I was planning on doing, I was just asking if there was a reason to not do so. Will add it in.

[X] Snowfire
but I would much prefer to share with you the more fantastical details when we are secure in Sorcerer's Deep and warded against eavesdroppers of a mystical sort.
I'm not sure this is the right argument to use here. Might make Rhaella afraid/paranoid. We skipped details before without giving any explanation, and would we actually tell her about Frenly if we knew we're safe from divination and such?
I have been had to deliberately hide my presence
Something went wrong with this sentence.

Any reason you described matters in that specific order? Seems a little disjointed.

I know how we can kickoff the Joffrey miss-reign; push for dorne to send aid to KL in the form of bacon & ale. So much ale, and wine, liqours.

If poisoned wine wont happen, there is always stuffing Robert until he cant take anymore.

Atleast the Lannister men and goldcloaks will have it rougher on their bodies and the job, when the populance get too much drink.

Oh, right. King's Landing is in the middle of starving, isn't it? (god knows how given we haven't even invaded yet)

We should really drop food off for the smallfolk at some point. Those are our subjects.

Question @DragonParadox: Lys, Tyrosh and Myr have been fighting over the Disputed Lands more or less nonstop since the fall of the Triarchy in 130 AC right? If so how is there anything left worth fighting over, given how we see war is waged in the books?

War in Essos over the Disputed lands is a much different proposition hen the Wot5K. It is formalized almost to the point of ritual, major settlements rarely get sacked, unless the sellswords are have not been paid for a while or are starving and no one is really invested in winning, Its a sideshow with a social stake more than a military one.

@Snowfire, we just told her in flowery terms that we fight against gods. Lya being our lover is... kinda harmless in comparison.

Basically this. It's a pretty silly worry to have compared to everything else she's stressed out over.

Again, it's familiarity. It's one thing to say that you've pretty much admitted to being opposed to certain deities. But that's still in the realm of fairy tale. Renegotiating a dynastic alliance for a common-blood mage is something that her noble born and raised instincts are likely to come to a screeching halt over. Yes, I might be exaggerating, but you have to take into account that she's not really processing what we've told her about the gods because she's still coming to terms with it. This is something she most certainly can come to terms with, however, and that's what it makes it more dangerous.

Anyway, modifications have been made to the plan. @DragonParadox I hope you don't mind me splitting this stuff up as I've been doing so far. I know it's probably making more in the way of sections to this than you might have intended, but I'm adamant in my conviction to get this right.

Be careful, sure, but avoiding the topic like the plague and making Rhaella fear the whole thing is way worse than it is will hardly help us here.

Pretty sure since before Richard & Saan privateered some Lannister grain barges that may or may not have contained hidden gold...

But, its not like the only way to get grain to the city is over water. I'd think because after everything with the fleet they'd be more ground transportation of valuable goods like grain etc.

Wut, since when is KL starving?

The roads are no longer safe to travel, nor to ship large amounts of grain and gold (taxes).

Additionally to what DP said, if someone starts winning too much, the other two gang up to push their forces back. So if you spend money on extra sellswords, you might expand your share of the disputed lands and get a little more money out of it for a few years before the the other two push you back, and an ambitious leader might hope that, perhaps this time, they wont push them back so far, letting them come out ahead.

Since they all know this, they don't fight total war, but instead are constantly positioning hoping that they'll have the opportunity to finally "win."

I'm not sure we need to so bluntly bring it up, but eh. Also, it isn't daughter-in-law, but gooddaughter.
