If we find original Renly, and he agrees to come back and be Lord Renly, then we can recruit New Renly, but if not we need New Renly to remain here, at least until we have taken over Westeros, at that point we might talk him into agreeing to give Stannis Storms End, and go be Lord of one of our other conquests, but unless we get real Renly back we need him to rule the Stormlands.
We can't bring back the "real" Renly.
Even if we actually invest the effort and time to try and find someone without name or face we know, taking back his identity would break his word to a very powerful Fey. That's not a good idea, either for us or for Renly.

Well... Don't be a slave/servant to the Ithillid then?

Or better

Edit:ignore this post, was distracted.

@DragonParadox, remember that Rhoynish Cold Iron mace we got as a reward for saving Uthero from the calpina? Was there any hidden magical effect we have to identify or is it just a Cold Iron Mace?

Can we get some votes or plans out there?

I'd be more understanding if there was actual dissenting discussion going on here, but I think we clearly all know what we want out of this one.

[X] Plan "Viserys just got a new ally of convenience!"
-[X] "Agreed my Lord. Best we relocate however, where watching eyes might not easily go. Shall we reconvene?"
-[X] Secure a hall from eavesdroppers, clear any imps that are found out, and suggest Brienne be questioned in regards to what she saw. Also suggest she use the Wayfinder in order to locate the Imp from earlier for capture.
-[X] If questioned about when, how and where we intend to interrogate the shelled turtle, provide the following observations: The Fiend, if not bound with potent sorcery and held in captivity in a specially prepared area where it cannot use translocation to effect an escape, would provide too great a risk to release it from its polypmorphed shape. We intend on more thoroughly interrogating it at Sorcerer's Deep before disposing of it in such a way that it could not re-manifest and plague us with further assassination attempts, method unspecified other than that there are multiple avenues to doing so and that simply killing it doesn't destroy it entirely, just sends it back to Hell, if asked.
-[X] If Renly still insists, we will use our standard MOP in dealing with the Fiend, minus any overt brain-melting, then BP it again for later disposal.

@TotallyNotEvil

There, no political implications touched upon, since they're apparently oh-so-obvious.

We're all in alignment?

I'm with @Duesal on the matter of negotiating with the turtle. You don't bargain with spare parts.
I mainly want to spread a reputation among the devils.

Don't piss us off too much and maybe you just get banished back the Hell.

Cross us as much as the assassin devil just did and you get your power carved right out of you.

Any ideas on what we do with our new Masterwork Cold Iron Longsword?

I don't really want to sell it since I like having variety in our armory--we've got adamantium thinblades, a bunch of mithral stuff, and cold iron--but it should go to someone who'll use it.

Imagine a tea party where the Ulitharid, the Cornugon and the Fire Giants meet, all animated by unseen servants and speaking about the lovely weather on the demiplane of shadow inside our tower.

I'm imagining it. It's awesome, but impractical.

@Goldfish

Thank you for starting the whole "X just got a new X!" thread meme.

That's a gift that'll keep on giving, given our proclivity to take increasingly outlandish things as loot.

[X] Though I agree that all men should join together in the face of such threats, that fact is that I came here to discuss a ransom. The fact is that you are the lords and knight beholden to one that has taken hostile action against me, when I had not struck against them [exile from Braavos, that fleet that we failed to properly capture, possibly Wildfire attack, but that them being used as a proxy]. The fact is that I could head to Braavos, Tyrosh, Pentos, Quarth and I would find such evils, or ones of a different ilk. Don't even ask me about Ib. So, knowing that I could literally go anywhere and save lives, why should I spend my time helping the people who serve those that strike at me, (a glance to Criston), those that would insult my friends, over spending that same irreplaceable time saving those who's lords/leaders/rulers have done me and mine no injury?
-[X] Me and mine are willing to help you, but in return, I want an Inn. We will help you if you say we can have one of your taverns. Any, one, of your taverns.

In that case we should just wait, until we can convince new Renly to let Stannis rule the Stormlands.

I don't want to change my vote. I want to demand an inn.

But for the purpose of consensus,

@Crake can you put in to carefully knock out the turtle? It can hear us, needs to be kept with us, and is awake. No need to miss out on being cautious.

Maybe, before we say what we intend for it, mention that "though it wears the form of a turtle, it still bears the mind of a devil, and can understand us". Then knock it out as carefully as we can.

Maybe give it to Bron. That way we can avoid him getting a Valyrian steel sword.
Actually, regarding Bronn, his preferred weapons are a Bastard Sword and a Dirk.

We, conveniently, just got this:
Gained magical Mithral Bastard Sword
If the sword isn't too valuable and we don't want/need to sell it, then Bronn is the obvious candidate to receive it.

Ser Richard has Oathkeeper, Waymar has Purity (which is bronze to boot), Garin has his +1 Adamantium Thinblade and Valyrian Steel dagger, and none of our baby adventurers prefer a Bastard Sword.

That being said, if the Bastard Sword does turn out to be valuable enough that we just want to sell it, then sure, give the Mwk Cold Iron Longsword to Bronn. Even if it's not his preferred weapon, he's still proficient in wielding it.

Just one question, is it alright to show them the Wayfinder? It's an important tool in our arsenal, and if they don't know about it, then it's existence is definitely getting to our westerosi enemies.

I think that the image that we want to sell is "Yes, we can murder you all and conquer everything, but I'm busy saving the world"

Agreed with Tomcost.

An overarching message that was subtly broadcast--or not so subtly, depending on your point of view, but at least left unvoiced, was that they were completely in our mercy this entire time. Fancy armor and common steel was in no way sufficient protection when weighed against the personal power just the four of us held at hand, and were quite restrained in the application of.

Basically: Viserys hasn't strode into the Red Keep and simply ousted Robert from his birthright not because he isn't capable of doing so, but because he's got other things to worry about than who sits on the Iron Throne right now.
