You can certainly train Minotaur to use plate, but that it not going to be cheap, Lya can fabricate some armor however you still need to buy the steel.

Well, ignoring a full plan for now (unless I see a sudden outpouring of support for avoiding Zherys), since we might see losses rather than profits on trade, I'm cutting out places we don't need to visit quite so soon. The places on our action list where we have actions are: Pentos, Sunspear, and Runestone (Gulltown). They all take quite a bit longer than comparative actions in places we can teleport to, so I'm guessing sending a ship to establish teleportation for Viserys/Vee will be really helpful.

We also want to go North, and Myr is a potential enemy (the strategic value of being able to teleport to our enemies doorstep is huge).

Therefore, I think sending our remaining three small galleons would be best.
Ship 1: Direct to Sunspear. Still will want to trade a bit so no little birds get chatty.
Ship 2: Gulltown->White Harbor (opens up Runestone and later trip North)
Ship 3: Pentos->Myr (Opens up Illyo and Myr for later consideration)

This is (potentially, depending on rolls. We could still make a profit) trading a small amount of cash for Viserys days of time.

@Azel Thoughts?

I trust in your spreadsheets.
By the way, earthquake season is still going strong, i was finally allowed back into my building a few minutes ago.

Alternative to sacrificing them might be to have Vee find out if they're still Maenads or are now humans, beneath that polymorph. Feed Yss a sheep or cow or something.

How much for the steel? I think the few minutes Lya needs for Fabricate hardly matter in her schedule.

Needs Viserys for someone with both high Religion and Nature.

Upside is that we won't have too many problems due to five auxiliary casters giving +2 each.
I'm tempted to not sacrifice them for a weirwood at all.

Just dump them on the tree for assorted goodies.
I really don't want the things to stay around for longer then necessary.

@DragonParadox, could we mulch the turtles for a second helping of bones? This time Lya would actually use them and we can bolster our crafting budget that way.

  1. About 1000 gold should do it to armor all the minotaurs. Most of the price of armor is labor
  2. You are not sure, it was something of a spontaneous gift last time

1. Sounds like 1000 bucks well spent to me.
2. Let me guess, ask Bloodraven? :V

Hmmm, that isn't quite my reading of Lya. DP even said she's drifted back to Good. I think using human remains is still out of character for her.
Except that Maneads are not human. That's like saying she would object to use something Waymar brewed out of the assorted Demon bits he keeps around.

Agreed on starting the Minotaurs. I also want Dany to start on their religion finding soon-ish. We're fairly booked for this month, but I think it'll be a pre-req for the Spririt Totem Build we want for them.

Ah. Hmmm, with Lya's expanded understanding and SD general open mindedness about treating thinking beings well even if they are not human, she might still balk at using a sophont's remains as material. *shrugs* Seems risky to me.

Also, how do you feel about sending our remaining galleons on trade missions to pick up teleport points? Lya (Can Tyene learn Whispering Sands?) can check in on them as they travel, to both help protect them and know when they're reaching their destinations.

So, we're dropping the fact that these Maynads may be just as much victims to douchbag god as anyone else that night?

It shouldn't take long to ask Yss or maybe some other methld. But asking Yss seems quickest way to resolve this.

I still see not much point there unless you want to go to the really far away place like Gorgossi or White Harbor.

Viserys managed the trip from SD to Dragonstone in two days. Sunspear or Runestone are childs play now that we have the Wayfinder.

Of course not. We're not going to risk the sacrifice until we know they're Maenads and not normal human NPCs. The backlash for failure of the Heart Tree ritual is absolutely brutal.
Failure: Primary caster becomes bound to the site of the weirwood and may not travel more than 100 ft from it until such a time as the ritual is complete. If the ritual fails a second time while a creature is so bound the creature dies, its remains feeding the Heart Tree allowing it to grow to full size regardless. A creature so slain cannot be returned from the dead save by the spells Reincarnate and True Reincarnate.

That's still 6-10 days we'd be saving, across all targets. And I am including White Harbor.

@Azel , we need to stop by to shop in MS for magic reagents to make our +5 woodcarving tool into a +10 (for the ritual), so maybe move the schedule to do the Xorn first?

We need to burn a Commune spell for Zherys planning.

I posted some recommended questions we should ask a few days ago that would let us determine exactly what he intends, with questions left over for other topics. I'll dig the post up when I get home.

That the maneads may or may not be innocent victims is pure meta information and I really detest acting on those.

Edited plan to sacrifice them on the tree we already have. I do not care enough about a second tree to keep the servants of a hostile god around any longer then necessary.
