I have a mad idea. Let's talk before we start killing. Unless she's lying to us, no-one else is dying to her sisters atm*
We could ask um, well. I don't think we want anything. Basically, my 'ehhh-ness' comes from a lack of understanding of this god's theology. Does the raping, killing and cannibalism be a regular thing, or is it induced only as divine punishment?
"The information I have is that you and yours have attacked the port that I was going to conquer this evening. I am in no way inclined to give your sisters back to you for the trade of you not dying to us now. Explain to me the nature of the Blasphemy**, and I will consider releasing your sisters to you, if we can reach a fair accord in this matter."
Let's see what knowledge we can get. Provided this isn't a trap, we lose little for it.
If the god does the evil shit as a matter of course, enemy god, as per usual. If in response to blasphemy... ehh, we
might be able to not bother having to kill it in the future, provided it's standards aren't alien in a way that comes across as silly.
If someone cracked open a case of the special wine, it should be the person who decided that the special wine should be used. The nice part is that some of the players genuinely were planning to replace the alcohol, to avoid this sort of situation.
*Also, if the Maenads had a quota of death to cause, we... probably haven't saved any lives, as apparently, they're done. - Re-reading the update, it looks to be a vague "punishment" with little boundaries or such (makes sense) so we probably saved lives. Yay!
**Who knows, maybe the god is super chill when not hacked off.
Sorry for the rambling, but I didn't notice any diplomacy ideas being promoted, so I felt vaguely obliged to try.
If any of what she says shows incompatibility, then we [X] Goldfish the bitch. Viserys wants nice boots.
I fully expect to kill and loot all these Maenad's HD for powah, but at least we can say we tried to not piss off a god the first time we interact with it's servant's/children.
Edit: Oh, vote closed. Well, she's mad as part of her nature. We kill things that harm others in their madness, if we can't heal them. And I don't think a heart's ease is gonna cut it on this one
