Eh... sure, not fully non-dispelable, but requiring mage's disjunction to break.
That's pretty good, as MD also destroys items, and that ruling means we can pay XP to get permanent effects (tongues for example) without investing in crafting time, crafting ressources and body slots.

Edit: @DragonParadox - are permanent spells attached to the body or soul? We do have access to magic jar, and if the spells are attached to the body we can use that to attach permanencied personal (mage only) spells to any character.

It depends on the effect. A permanent magic fang is linked to the body, a permanent tongues to the soul.

So are the full range of visions able to be attached to any other character, even if they're not the ones casting the spell? I thought you could make some effects permanent on yourself and not others and other spells on yourself, others and objects.

Inserted tally.

[X] Hurry up the hill and try to save the manse and any clues to how this all began

Also, @DragonParadox, we have this picked out for our next weirwood:

CL 20 Hallow Effect
Heart's Ease
Panacea
Tongues

Is that okay? We wanted a healing/diplomacy tree to go in the town square of Sorcerer's Deep. Also, for Westhaven, we were planning on making it our primary military training center where we forge legionaires-to-be into fighters. As such we wanted a tree with Regenerate. I know Regenerate is a bit too powerful, but would you accept it if the cost in sacrifices was appropriately obscene for that kind of spell? For example, it costs 54 HD for one wierwood heart tree with three secondary effects. What about for a tree with Regenerate we have to pay 72 HD or something even higher than that and we only get one secondary effect for Regenerate out of it?

-[X] Tyene heals her injuries with a Cure Serious Wounds and Cure Light Wounds spell, then uses Cure Light Wounds spells to heal Richard and Waymar. If he hasn't already, Viserys casts Heart of Earth, then renews the Haste spell affecting the party.

For something like regeneration I think the best way to model them would be to require smaller sacrifices to trigger, so a solder who wants his arm back would have to decapitate an enemy before the Heart Tree. That way it keeps its mystical feel instead of being free healing.

I'd be fine with that, too. :)

Anyway, so the current Heart Tree proposal looks fine to you?

Grizzled veterans going once more into the literal Deep to take back their "gods damned leg"?

Yes please.

And with the way this works, we can add other secondary effects as well. :) I'm not sure what else I'd want on that tree, but I'm thinking Tongues for one of the two open slots since we're aiming for a world-spanning army.

That we heal on the way is usually automatic, not worth splitting the vote over now.

I'm just making sure. Also be thorough and making sure Viserys has cast Heart of Earth and renews Haste, since the initial spell's duration has probably already expired or will do so very shortly.

If it looks like the votes will be too split for a consensus when DP asks, I'll change the plan to the default option.

Eh, soon Dany and Vee can cast it at no cost at all, also Yss will propably soon be able to grant it for some sacrifice, at least if we continue with the feeding as we did so far.

So Viserys could use a quasit, but random joe couldn't.
We could toss whomever wants a new limb in a quasit cage, any that survive will surely consider them enemies!

But if we can't have a constant regenerate on a tree without needing regular sacrifices, I'd just wait for Vee/Dany. If we don't have free regenerate, well, then there's no problem charging our dear cousin Realath, is there? :)

Also, sacrifice to fuel Bilgestone purification - is that a thing we can do?

WAIT! Slavers! We're not destroying their souls, but before we hang them, can we take their legs/arms/limbs? <- I am having difficulty weighing the morality of imprisoning slavers for forced limb donations (essentially) before they are executed.

Omake: Darker Paths: An Execution, A Declaration, and Rewards
With the discussions of growing another Heart Tree, and a few choice discussions yesterday. I got inspired again. How lovely would this quest be, if we never had a voice of reason? Behold, another can't sleep rush Omake!

Darker Paths: An Execution, A Declaration, and Rewards

Thirteenth Day of the Sixth Month 293 AC

The populace... or you could say, the survivors of King's Landing gather before the Great Sept of Baelor. Long had this place been a place of execution, and now it will it suffice again. Though after you are done with it, it will certainly leave a mark that will show any fool the futility of going against you.

A hush falls among the smallfolk as you stand before your bound captives. Even more so as the smallfolk discern the nature of the guards that dumped their slumbering forms within the place you want them to be. Dany's stolen lore more than compensates of making an example of the foolish Goldcloaks that dared to strike against you. Now they will wear their bloodstained cloaks forever.

The execution platform has beem removed, and bloodsoaked stones have been dug up leaving a wide circle of hard earth exposed. The center, where you have carefully planted the nascent Heart Tree, seem to gleam in color. Fitting place to plant it, as the ground right before the executioner's block has been stained for years with a familiar color. Dried blood.

A ring of cuttings surround the white-bone sapling with a half dozen leaves. It will soon grant you more boons. You feel giddy and excited. You've always felt so when you've done this several times before. Now even more so, when it's the blood of your most hated enemies that will nourish the Old Gods.

The Usurper, his Bitch Queen, the Kingslayer, the traitor Kingsguard, the Grand Maester, the Eunuch, the High Septon, the Old Falcon and his Harridan wife. Them, together with a bunch of septons, faithful and other fools will die today, in celebration of you taking the Iron Throne.

Of course you decided to spare the children. You'd like to keep the soon to be De-Crown'd Prince as a footstool. You'll keep his babe of a brother until it's time for you to elevate him as lord of Casterly Rock...
That reminds you of the army the Old Lion will march out as soon as he hear of this. But, by that time, you'll have a surprise for him.

"King's Landing!" You call our to the people who's rightfully yours. "As you may know, a night and a day ago, I returned to claim my throne. With Aegon's Legacy, I claim it. With my Wit and Sorcery, I claim it! With Fire and Blood, I claim it!"

A reluctant cheer came out.

Dany glared. It became much better.

You chuckle inside. That never get's old. "And so, when I found this bunch, these unworthy lot, these utter fools sitting around what is mine. Especially with that fat one sitting on MY chair, what am I to do then?" You snap your fingers. The Usurper woke, and strained hard against his bindings. You can see his inarticulate scream of rage as he seems to be trying to bite his gag with all his might.

You smirked at him. It will be over soon. "Why, I would use them to further my own power of course! A fitting end to the ones who wronged me so much." You look around the populace and turned back to glare at the Great Sept. "I am but a man. To seek power, I call upon my heritage, or higher powers. I made a deal with one of those." The crowd erupted into frenzied buzzing.

"Today, I will show you the power of the gods I champion. Today, I will give you a chance to choose once more. On whether you keep faith to the annoying Seven who want's to deny the power rightfully mine, or true power brought by the Gods of Stone, Earth and Tree. Today is a the day, I officially declare war against the New Gods!"

The crowd fell silent in shock. Dany glared again. This time, the cheers seem weaker, but more enthusiastic. You do note down of who did cheer the loudest. They'll get a Stag for their support later.

Speaking of Stags... It is time.

You and Dany took positions with practiced ease. Your good friend and mentor, Tor Longstrider take one of the caster's place as he has done so when he has time to spare. Thankfully, he's done with this month's order from Mantarys. Wylla Drekelis, takes another. Shadows gathering around her to block the hateful sun. Lyarrhea Rogare takes the last. Her face wistful of the ritual to come and what wonderful things you'd do with another Godswood.

Danar Crowl, The Harrow, and Grazhea of Astapor are not participating. They are in the process of preparing the things you're asking the Old Gods for in exchange for this sacrifice.

It begins with a scream as Dany stabs the Bitch Queen first. Then so you and your colleagues slowly work your way, making sure the Usurper sees everything, can't do anything, and would certainly know he'll be the last. After the Harridan, you stab him at last, singing the hymns you've spoken for what seems like dozens of times before.

You call upon the Secret Gods. You feel Bloodraven's presence and the chorus of the ancient ones. They sing truimphant as you hear King's Landing scream in fright. The Sept of Baelor breaks apart and crumbles as the blood of your sacrifices twist around the rapidly growing Heart Tree.
You approach it and carve a face. A face you always see as you look in a mirror. Your face, finally on the Weirwood. Fitting as you claim what's rightfully yours. You change your hymn as you feel the deaths of your sacrifices. Blood fully streams around you as you ask for the boon you've sacrificed a King, his household, leaders of the hated Faith, and their very temple, for.

A loud roar comes from the direction of the Dragonpit as you finish the ritual. Danar and the others has done it.

You turn back to the crowd. "Behold the gifts of the Old Gods to me!" A shadow erupts from the Dragonpit. Streaming with fire and roaring as loud as the breaking of the Sept of Baelor. "Syrax!"

A roar answers from the direction of the Riverlands. Loud and sharp as thunder. "Vhagar!"

A mighty roar answers last. Erupting in front of the Red Keep. A roar as loud as the breaking of the world.

"Balerion!"

Bah.

If we had a Dany without Conscience we could raise those guys ourselves by the time we take KL.
How about Vhagar the Vampire-Dragon, Syrax the Whight Dragon and Balerion the Dracolich?

Edit: Ok, technically the Dracolich idea is not as easy as casting Create Greater Undead, maybe Mummy-dragon though.
