Kyton Ring's sound so cool.

Imagine being able to Indiana Jones your way through town?

Hm, maybe a version that retracts the chain when it's used as Hook? So it doesn't have to be more expensive due to making more chain.

A retractable version sounds pretty awesome. Double price to 200 IM to craft sound fair?

Richard: "Get over here!" <Yoink!>

We should make Glyra two of them, spiked of course, and upgraded to retract on command. Add a pair of Slippers of Spider Climbing and she would be an insanely mobile little Gremlin.

Spider Gremlin, Spider Gremlin, does whatever a spider can!

I sort of wanted to sell them to (very) rich Young Masters. The Bravos would probably be all over that.

Maybe add a 1/day Feather Fall safety feature.

Also, we should absolutely get a few master smiths and start selling Thinblades (Garin's new rapier). They are the perfect fusion of longsword and rapier: 1d8, 18-20/x2, finesseable, power attack-able, can be used either in one hand or both hands, Light for TWF use.

And get this: At cost, we can make Least Energy Assault Crystals for 60 IM, and those work with merely MW weapons.

Imagine a blade that is, in bothdesign and application, superior to anything up to that point, that is also constantly red-hot without harming you.

I propose we buy a ton of master smith slaves in Tyrosh, manumit them, make a gigantic crafting hall in TD where they can ply their trade and live in confort.

Not having a mastersmith at our disposal has been a major sore point for me for the last thousand-and-a-half pages, so I'm fully behind any plan that gets them for us.

Why tyrosh? if we want smith we go to Qohor, sure its farther away, but the quality will be worth it, we may even be able to steal one of those that still know how to work valyrian steel.

There is also the option of having Lya cast Divine Insight and using Fabricate to duplicate Masterwork Thinblades at will. At level 9 she'll be up to a +6 Intelligence bonus and her Diving Insight will be casting at level 6 for a +11 Insight bonus. At that point, she would need a really unlucky roll to turn out anything less than Masterwork.

Lya could make two or three a day without straining her spell slots unduly. She just needs to learn Fabricate and we're set.

EDIT: And we might be able to buy some Adamantine in the Plane of Molten Skies. I doubt there is a forge on Planetos hot enough to work it, or a smith who knows how. Both stumbling blocks could be neatly bypassed by Lya. Imagine Masterwork Adamantine Thinblades. Once word got around about their capabilities, we could sell them for absolutely stupid prices.

Also peeps, since we have no intention of ruling Mantarys, how about we sell the city (and all unruly Minotaurs) to Relath? Tolos is quite nearby.

The Sea of Sighs doesn't sound like the place a Brine Dragon would like to swim around in. :p

Besides, he likely wouldn't give two shits if the people we just freed from slavery get enslaved right back. He may not be inclined to Evil, but that only goes so far. I'd rather we treat Mantarys exactly to how it was historically governed.

Mantarys was founded by the Valyrian Freehold. Although rich and glorious, it did not have self-rule and was instead governed by men and women sent from Valyria to rule in the name of the Freehold - thus it is not counted among the Free Cities.[3]

I'm fine with any plans for Mantarys so long as we 1) recruit most of the mages 2) get all the loot 3) preserve the magical market and 4) get massive discounts on everything.

EDIT: Also, ironically, Mantarys and Tolos become the new bulwarks against the "darkness of the east". Major shit is going down in Assiah.

I was thinking that its red due to algae or diatoms growing on a very salty sea... like you know, brine.

Also, I thought we're taking back every slave who wants to be free with us to The Deep? Then we sell the city to him as a private resort/ waypoint to the Dothraki sea.

Every slave that wants to be free and doesn't think we're crazy or trying to eat them etc**
Just because we know we have good intentions doesn't mean everyone else does, I think there's a good chance if we keep contact with Mantarys we'll still have people trickling over to our side

we will organize dothraki hunting safaris for mages?

I mean, we slayed the demons and killed the Listener (remember how the guards cheered when they heard that?). That, and we have some pretty great diplomacy and bluff.

AND the fact that when we leave there won't be another chance for freedom, and the slaves all know it.

We'll be fine. The slaves will flock to us, scary 12-foot murder lizard or no.

The Sea of Sighs practically borders the Smoking Sea, it probably has a bunch of shit left in it from the Doom(sulfur, ash, voodoo, whatever the fuck).

As for the latter, Mantarys is a city, TD is an upjumped smuggler's cove. Mantarys probably has ten times the number of slaves(or more) to the entire population of TD.

Alinor deserves a major gift after all the work we dump on her.

Maybe cold hard cash? 400 IM to do with whatever she pleases?

The joys of working under a murderhobo...

In all seriousness, Alinor probably loves it, it's certainly ten steps up from what her prospects were before we pranced our princely ass into that brothel. Yes, the innuendo was intentional(mostly). ;)

@DragonParadox

Basically we want to try to intimidate it into voluntary suicide to avoid true death, but failing that we go with our battleplan.

  • [X] Intimidation ala Goldfish
    -[X] If that fails, Artemis1992
[X] Tyene, Lya, Xor and Waymar go together to look for any anti-demon measures the cat remembers that might have been overlooked or could be quickly fixed if damaged
-[X] Rest of the group stays together, Vee ready to summon a Unicorn if it tries for possession
-[X] If the Shadow Demon comes near say that you just want it out of the tower, use Suggestion from VotD to get it to come to the exit-gate before it is opened, then Garin uses the Pouch for Awaken Sin and everyone else attacks it too.
[X] Loudly announce that you intend to feed the Shadow Demon to the newly invested avatar of your ally, Yss the Serpent God, just as you did the far mightier Mallor only hours ago, inflicting True Death upon it.
-[X] Give it the option to be slain in a less permanent manner should it present itself now rather than force us to hunt it down.

The Epic of Mantarys should be worth a pretty penny.... epecially the bit with Glyra changing alignments...
The Ballad of the Traitor Priestress will propably hit most Fey's taste.

I think Divine Insight doesn't work on checks that are untrained impossible to do. She'd have to take a lesson in smithing.
Uhm, doesn't working with Valyrian steel require a blood sacrifice? Like when we forged Oathkeeper.
Yes, but it can be an animal, the smiths pretended plan was to sacrifice a pig and as far as we know that would have worked, though for a far inferior product of course.

We need to think of a better name for Dany. Sure, "Traitor Priestess" sounds good to the Fey. But to the rest of the world, a title with the word "traitor" in it is going to work against us. Westeros especially.

What about Daenerys the Defiant? Subtle jab at the mother of all Blackfyres (Daena the Defiant, mother of Daemon Blackfyre) and the fact that Tiamat is allied with the Blackfyres.

Dany Godsbane, or Dany Spell-Hoarder, Dany Priest-of-her-Own

Godsbane is something special, to be reserved for when we actually manage to kill a god.

Speaking of...

@DragonParadox, do we get that Godspeaker title for Viserys? The last time we picked up a title was when we were still petty criminals.

Now I'm expecting titles like Sorcerer Prince, Dragon Prince, etc etc.

And for Ser Richard, he's building up a long list of "Slayer" titles.
