Do y'all think it's worth any effort to destroy the Gate? It's inactive for now, but taking it out could prove useful. Viserys could prime it for destruction while efforts are made to heal Richard for a few rounds.

You cannot destroy the gate in good time, at least you can't without the likes of wish which you do not have thanks to the wards. It was specifically designed that way.

I would dearly love to have Lya learn how to make wards that robust.

As soon as you get one as an example she will be able to. That said an arch-mage like her is probably too useful and powerful to set her on nothing but making wards. This is a mature tech designed for civilizations with access to a relatively large number of level 10-15 enchanters

We can't afford to waste too much time healing up to full here, but a couple rounds of effort can get Richard back from the brink.

Two doses of Restorative Ointment (1d8+5), 2 CLW scrolls(1d8+5), 2 CLW spells (1d8+5), and 2 rounds of Fast Healing 5 should bring him up to 44 +6d8 HP, plus 24 Temp HP from his amulet. Then another couple rounds getting to the Vault entrance and preparing to enter should get him another 10 HP. He could easily be at 100+ effective HP before we even enter the vault.

I'm wary of whatever is waiting for us in the vault, but between leading with Flashburst, a Fungal Stun Vial, and a fake Garin carrying a Liquid Ice Bomb, I can't think of much more we can do in a reasonable amount of time with the resources available to us.

[X] A bit of first aid
-[X] Richard and Garin each activate their amulets to gain 24 Temp HP as a Swift Action. Richard then begins slathering himself with Restorative Ointment (Heals 1d8+5 HP per dose per Standard Action) for 2 rounds, Varys uses 2 Cure Light Wounds scrolls on him, and Viserys casts it on him twice.
--[X] Garin uses a dose of Restorative Ointment on himself then Wild Arcana to cast Create Fetch.
--[X] Richard activates his armies Holy Aura power as the group moves toward the vault. Varys rides on his shoulder long enough to use one or two more Cure Light Wounds scrolls before returning to Viserys before we enter the vault.
-[X] Before they attempt to enter the vault, Garin sends his Fetch running through the doorway carrying a 40 pound Liquid Ice Bomb courtesy of Viserys' cloak that it will detonate as soon as it enters, which Viserys follows with a Flashburst spell to blind anyone inside while Richard uses a Launcher to fire a Fungal Stun Vial into the chamber.

Bomb #3 (40 pounds / 18 kg): 6d6 Cold damage to everything within 15 (4.5 m) feet of the target space and every creature within that space must make a DC 20 Fortitude save or become Entangled for two rounds. Everything within the area between 15 (4.5 m) and 30 feet (9 m) of the target space must make a DC 20 Fortitude saving throw or take half the Cold damage and become Entangled for one round

Goldfish does richard activate his fastheal ability as a swift action right?

Seeing how well defended this place was we should definitely start building doom bunkers with all sorts of traps all over the imperium in prepartion for the long night.

Wait did we collect the bones of that undead mage yet?
If not Goldfish can you include it in your plan
He didn't leave any behind, AFAIK. According to DP, he fled shortly after his first revival because he was afraid to be defeated and leave remains behind that might be able to be used to track his location somehow.

Specifically he had lost a level, had only 1 HP per Hit Dice and was out of 9th level spells. He did not get to be as old as he is by taking fights in that condition against people he knows are allies of death gods.
