We only have people who were on the outskirts, but that's still good enough.
Definitely not among the named characters. None of the Erinyes was part of Asmodeus army, while Yrael was on the Prime Material when it happened and only got second hand accounts. That's the whole reason he fell when he actually saw it for the first time.

Yrael and Zathir can speak on Heaven's Fall, Bloom can tell of Elysium, Mereth can tell of Hell's role in all this, Azema can speak on the Abyss, etc. Granted we don't really need them all to play guest speaker, but damn if they're not good props.

The best you have is Zathir and while he would be willing to speak his memories are hazy and not of the battle itself.

We don't really need to provide eye witnesses to the rogering of Heaven, though. Witnesses to the aftermath should be plenty.

Zathir as a friendly and personable deity, Yrael as an Archon with a high position within the Imperium, maybe that Shaitan dude whose name I cannot recall who is now one of our high officials, Elaheh who once lived in Heaven's Shore, and Mereth as a highly placed Devil, the first who swore themselves into our service, in fact.

That covers a good range of non-Human witnesses, IMO. As for Humans, maybe Zherys and Lya would like to give their accounts of Hellven and the mechanics of the present day cosmology?

I'd generally avoid talking about the exact events, lest some people get even worse anti-Devil sentiments from it.

The general gist of things and how things work right now is more important.

Don't forget Bloom as a witness on behalf of Elysium.

I would write a vote up for this, but I'm two minutes from disappearing into a 2 hour meeting. Gotta love how people in a different time zone don't mind making the rest of us sit in a meeting that goes through our lunch period, but ends just in time for them to have their's.

Delegating my vote for now.

I think we will just have two updates today, yesterday's 4K words while a rush are not the kind of thing I can sustain with any regularity. Still if you guys would like to know anything about the background of the quest now would be the time to ask since I have time to look at the thread, but I am not actively working on the next part.

@DragonParadox How do you decide the actions of the gods in the quest?

A combination of GM fiat and rolls when they are warranted. I treat Gods the way I do polities, keeping in mind that they are limited by their domains . A god will not act in a way that goes against his nature, though there is some wiggle room, those have to do with the mortals they select to sere them. For instance as a god of Fire R'hllor has issues when it comes to skulking in the shadows. Mel has no such concern and neither to many of His other priests, former slaves and servants.

Yrael, possibly Mereth.
Bloom, maaaaybe Elaheh?
Elaheh may be a bit unsettling for certain of the Westerosi people.
Zathir would probably be a pretty good pick.

On a side note, since "godcrafting" is sounding corny, I'd dub the whole thing "Project Leviathan" henceforth.
For some reason I am not thinking of giant sea-creatures when you use the term, but more of the cover-art to Hobbes book, despite the fantasy context.
Well, not like we don't pratice something close to true absolutism than most IRL countries could ever try.

This is a case of wearing Viserys glasses, let me make something clear, unless she is going out of her way to play nice Elaheh is very unsettling to most people. What looks like a fun quirk to the mythic dragon can cause regular moral NPCs to runs creaming if they understood all the implications.
Is that the same set of glasses that makes getting flattered by a Falxugon look harmless?
Because that's another thing were running away screaming would be common sense.

Good on you for getting the reference. ;)

As for Elaheh, I've been itching for years to have her appear at court in formal wear.

Could we do a field trip and open a gate to heaven and show everyone how shity it is and well run by devils now.
1. Way too many people to bring to and from Heaven. A small group escapes scrutiny. A group of more than a hundred invites unwanted investigation.
2. Going directly too Heaven is way too extreme for introducing most people to the topic. Waymar's dad is more than a little insane for not stopping until he saw it with his own eyes. That's a memory he might try to get rid of via memory moss or something. Or maybe the baby illitid tadpoles in our harbor.

[X] Plan A Spoonful Sugar Makes the Medicine Go Down
-[X] Ask Zathir, Yrael, and Bloom, as a deity and Celestials, respectively, to share their perspectives on the current state of the Upper Planes as well as explain in basic terms how the Void invasion and subsequent destruction damaged the metaphysical underpinnings of the afterlife in such a way that souls of the departed are now much less likely to reach their appropriate destination. There are effectively no longer safe afterlives for souls which are not directly protected within the domain of a deity.
--[X] If it seems likely to be helpful without inciting further discord or fear, we will ask Mereth to explain how the forces of Hell were forced to intervene to prevent Heaven from being completely overrun once the Void's forces defeated the unprepared defenders.
-[X] Ask one or more of the Shaitan (whose names I cannot recall) who now hold high ranking positions in the Imperial government to explain explain how the previous testimony has been common knowledge among the wider Planes for thousands of years.
-[X] Once the concept of the Void is explained and the state of the Sundered Spheres understood, transition into the forms of the Void that the Curia members are most likely to contend with at some point in the future -- the Bloodstone Emperor in the Far East, and the Court of Winter in the Farthest North.
--[X] Go into detail on the preparations against these threats, most notably your many investments into the order of the Night's Watch and defense of the Wall, to show that as great an enemy as this is it can still be fought and has been resisted before in ages past.
