I would say Dany's trophies tend towards the strange and uncanny, with perhaps a small inclination given for that which glitters bright. She is a dragon at heart and not just form at times after all.
Even what some might consider as negative character traits, his paranoia and being a hard taskmaster, seem to be beneficial to me, at least in this case.
I figure DP put it as a malice for a reason. It's not +Cautious or +A Healthy Paranoia or somesuch, so I'm guessing he's more the type to see enemies where there aren't any.
I mean until the cult is dealt with, it holds many of the same problems as a position. Increased scrutiny, seeing as all Headmasters sit on the Curia.If the Voice of Tryos wants to serve the Imperium, he would probably make a solid Scholarium instructor for one of the new Westerosi branches. He's an 11th level Wizard, IIRC, and managing a religion for centuries would be good practice for keeping a room full of unruly aspiring mages in check.
