Uh, I don't think that's a word, goodfish. That's not even a couple of words. That's a full-blown phrase.
Draconic is a wonderfully nuanced and descriptive language. A Dragon can speak a single word that carries a paragraph's worth of information.

For example, "I reject your morality and substitute my own!" translated into Draconic roughly sounds like "Meh..." 🤓

@Crake, better?

[X] Plan "Have you ever heard the tragedy of Tywin Lannister the Unwise?"
-[X] "Long has been the path that has led us to this day. Not merely for myself, not even just for those who stand before me, but for this world and even the spheres beyond."
-[X] "Long have we lived in the shadows of glories long past." Raise your right hand. "In the shadows of empires fallen long before our birth." Raise your left hand. "In the shadows of heroes that have faded into legend." Sweep out your arms and lower them. "We were born into an age of waning. An age of fading. Born knowing that this world had become lesser than what it once had been. Knowing that all we would build, all we could ever strive for, would pale compared to the achievements of the past."
--[X] The right hand indicates Essos, which usually is to the right side on maps, while the left hand means Westeros. Take note that the throne room is set up on a East-West axis with the throne itself in the position of the dawn sun, so the directions indicated by Viserys are actually north and south.
-[X] "But no more."
-[X] "On this day, a new age begins. Not an age of stagnation. Not even an age of renewal. On this day, we will usher into a new age of wonders. An age that will not be a mere simulacrum of what came before, but that will reach heights yet undreamed of."
-[X] "From Lonely Light to Sallosh, this world was ruled by hatred and bloodletting, but in their stead, there is now peace."
-[X] "From Thennhold to Gogossos, this world was ruled by chaos and strife, but in their stead, there is now order."
-[X] "From the lowest beggar to the greatest lord, this world was ruled by distrust and betrayal, but in their stead, there is now unity."
-[X] "On this day, I swear that through my will, these dreams shall be made manifest. I swear that through my laws, they will be guarded and protected. I swear that through my light, they shall be carried into the darkest corners of this world."
-[X] Get out the crown. "On this day, I, Viserys Targaryen, name myself Imperator." Crown yourself.
-[X] "The Age of Waning is no more." Sit on the throne, using your magic to let the inner flames of the Imperial Steel shine like the new dawn. "May the Age of the Imperium begin."
-[X] Bask in the cheers of the crowd, knowing that you have reached power far beyond what your ancestors could have ever dreamed off.
--[X] If you indeed gain another Mythic rank:
---[X] Mythic Feat: Extra Path Ability (Beyond Morality)
---[X] Mythic Spell: Magic Army
---[X] Path Ability:
----[X] Divine Source (Su): Fire Domain, Knowledge (Espionage) Subdomain, Law (Legislation) Subdomain
----[X] Beyond Morality (Ex): You have no alignment. Attempts to detect your alignment don't return any results. If you're the target of a spell or effect that is based on alignment, you're treated as the most favorable alignment when determining the spell's effect on you. Any effects that alter alignment have no effect on you. If you lose this effect, you revert to your previous alignment.
-[X] "I saddens me to know that some reject this bright future. That some wish to keep their fellow man in misery and bondage, and who have gone as far as to make alliance with the enemies of all life and sanity. My generals." Nod towards to the Legion generals. "My commanders." Nod to the air-force commanders. "Their madness has gone on long enough. Their depravities have done enough damage. Go forth and for one final time, beseech them to see reason. And if they do not, then do what is necessary to keep the peace."
-[X] "I shall personally join these efforts once you have reached Westeros. When the sun dawns on a new day, let it shine upon dragon banners flying from the Red Keep and Casterly Rock. As it should be."

Minor nit pick, but it sounds sort of weird for Viserys to end that speech with a passive statement. I think switching from "may the age of the imperium now begin" to "the age of the imperium my now begin " or something else slightly more authoritative would fit better.

[X] Azel

Also, does anyone know what our current buff level is. With the last numbers I saw, and the spells I recently posted, I think we're at around 123 for diplo and somewhere between 128 and 138 for intimidate for the duration of the speech, with a floating luck pool that can be burned for a lot of little bonuses or two somewhere north of +10.

I have now consolidated all of our custom Mythic spells into a single post, and added the link to the appropriate spells for our people who know them.

@Azel, it might not be the best place for it, but could you also include this month's magic/psionic item commission order in your vote? We're getting to the end of the month, so good places to add it in are running out.

Jesus fuck, that's a lot of magic items, and a lot of money.
The benefits of having the resources of a wealthy nation and large pile of looted high value metamaterials.

The best part about this is that the great majority of that isn't even stuff for Viserys or his Companions. It's stuff like Titan's Tools for continued infrastructure improvements, and specialty gear for Inquisition agents, Legion soldiers, and naval personnel.

What, exactly, is WBL?

oooohh...
Wealth By Level. It's a rough figure that is generally given as the approximate wealth a character of a certain level should have. For years, at least the first half of the quest if not longer, we operated well below normal WBL, especially when it came to magical gear. DP was quite strict about useful magical loot, but once we opened up access to extraplanar markets and had the money to spend on reagents, hired crafters, and commissioned orders, there was no reason to restrict us in that regard.

The early quest justification, which made complete sense at the time, was the magic was just returning to Planetos and new magic items weren't being crafted in any significant quantity yet. We were stuck with the small number of items Lya could craft in her spare time and the stuff we could occasionally loot that more often than not wasn't useful for us.

Also, now that we now have a 9th Level fire spell on our spell list, we don't need to grab one with our two last 9th circle spells @Goldfish.

That means two things:

1) We can grab Spellbane next level in preparation for getting the Mythic version next tier, though I guess that's a relatively distant concern.
1.1) And still have another Spell known open to grab Elminster's Effulgent Epuration Viserys' Vivid Voidance.
2) Our fiery burst deals 40.5 average damage. Which means our most casual feat of destruction hits harder than a modern rocket launcher.

I'm cool with Spellbane being Viserys' next spell.

Lya invented Elminster's Effulgent Epuration Sage's Radiant Spellward, so that's what Viserys will have to learn. I like the idea of Viserys learning a custom Lya spell. It's magically nerdy.

Ah, Fiery Burst, we used it to heat bath water once. It has come far. 🔥

Do we actually use it for anything these days? Being able to light things on fire at will is nice, but it doesn't do enough damage to be worth the action in most of our fights.
It's mostly kept because it boosts our [Fire]-typed spell CL by +1. Which is very good, since Viserys' shtick is basically keeping Blasting relevant despite it falling off sharply in higher levels.

I'm pretty sure there's a magitech A.I inside of it.
Yeah, that's what I'm thinking too.

A relic of their greatest artisans meant for the hand of one of their most tenacious champions. I'm fairly sure it just puts itself to sleep whenever there isn't an acknowledged Sword of the Morning to wield it.

Obviously both are good buff spells for Rina and have different functions but I see nothing that stops her from using both.

Imagine Rina flying around looking like an undead angel. :V
I should probably change one of those, but that loadout is just her everyday walking around spell selection, so it wouldn't hurt for her to have both prepared.

My guess about there being an Ancient Aliens "past is more advanced than the future" type artificial intelligence stems from the idea that something like Dawn is carried by the hand of the Hero, not because it is a silver bullet that will banish the darkness, but because it carries inside of it knowledge with farther reaching implications. Not just "Others are weak to dragon glass and steel kin to fire" but stuff like where to find secret caches and bypass ancient wards, somewhat outdated info of where an enemy's pathways lie, what kind of foes and their varied capabilities and weaknesses.

Most of all what makes me think Dawn is a high-tier artifact is that simply being acknowledged by the blade takes a simple Paragon (1-10) grade human, and gives them the potential to become a legend (11-20) even if they wouldn't be able to under ordinary circumstances because their kismet just isn't that great, and Destiny doesn't have that level of interest in them. Because they're sharing the potential of every single former wielder along with their own.

Or that's what I would suggest for what makes it special, since it's more interesting than just a plain old +5 item with some sort of combat mechanics and fluff attached to it. DP has introduced weapons that have research paths or even information leads before, like the Shadow Blade we got from Bu Gai.

I would actually prefer the Pathfinder version, though we generally default to 3.5 if the spell exists in both settings. Same goes for Mage's Disjunction, as I've said before.

Pathfinder is a bit more consistent and restrained when it comes to absolute effects.

Even if the hypothetical Balor did save vs death, it would still be Deafened, Blinded, and Paralyzed, and possibly Banished, too, if we fought it on Planetos. That would be a shame, though, because then we couldn't Larder it.
Then add channel power to it, and they don't even get spell resistance. This doesn't seem okay

Access to Great Empire of the Dawn magitech would be very nice. Even if the ideas therein are likely outdated for us, we can still build off the knowledge. It would be amazing if a potential AI in Dawn could lead us to that sort of thing.
