Not only is it a thing, it's something built into our Skydock repair facility, along with three Rods of Greater Make Whole for less taxing repairs. All we have to do is feed it 2,000 IM worth of Adamantine and Mithral and anything short of completely vaporized ship components will be restored. Whatever damage remains can be repaired normally.
So, we'll at get the superstructure back easily and only have to rebuild the cannons and launchers on that side of the ship?
Assuming those got slagged beyond being identifiable at least.

I've talked with DP about this already and R'hllor will be footing the bill for the repairs and Miracle enough slag back together to repair everything. The Dauntless only lost one turret and some empty crew quarters in the first place.

Well, every other turret on that side of the vessel was welded into place and had their barrels molten off, but that's the easily fixed kind of damage.

Also quick reminder here that we've build the Dauntless with enough redundancies that you can literally vaporize 1/4th of it and the rest can still make an orderly fighting retreat.

Between Memory of Function and Greater Make Whole, both of which can restore magic to destroyed enchanted items, we should even be able to recover a good portion of components beyond just the superstructure. I still expect we'll need to do some enchantment rebuilds on some sections, like the turret Lor was in which Ymeri obliterated.

I still have some high level crafter capacity unassigned this month, so we could have the Dauntless back in fighting form by the end of the month assuming the damage isn't too great.

The Dauntless Awakens

The Dauntless Gains One Mythic Rank

The Dauntless is going to need some intense repairs after this but this was an outstanding victory overall. Though seeing how it was all caught on camera/mirror we can sure as hell expect a large rise in 'Viserys is Azor Ahai' rhetoric and possibly a massive pilgrimage from followers of R'hllor for the chance to witness the glorious return of the Dauntless.

I hope every Mirror Arena and other viewing site in the Imperium is packed with onlookers witnessing the fall of Ymeri and the triumph of the alliance who took up arms against her, namely the Imperium itself and our new divine ally, R'hllor the Burninator.

I know the entire program will have been recorded and shown many time later, likely for years to come, but there's something about seeing such events live as they unfold which really strikes a chord in the mind the spirit.

Good stuff!

So what do you guys want to see next? Coronation or is there something else you would like to see before we move on to that? I did not want to put a vote in the interlude because it would break the flow.

I'm afraid @egoo is likely sleeping and since he is our collective memory these days, you will have to rest your fingers until he wakes up.

Joke aside though, I'm pretty sure there was something we wanted to see before the coronation begins, but beats me what it was. Then again, we could always start with the guests arriving a few days ahead of the event itself.

Or maybe some reactions to what people just saw happening on the mirrors.

You almost guessed it, I am half-asleep @Azel.
modding fallout is hell but addictive.

We've some goals to do after Ymeri is defeated (loot her court, have Burny bless his temple in SD), but we gotta see her defeated first.

Save Ymeri-centric topics, and the Citadel, all is done.

I'm partial towards what the people on the ground do immediately in the aftermath of Dauntless firing its payload of 'suck it Ymeri' munition. The reaction of the people is all well and good, if a bit predictable in that there will be lots of awe, wonder and disbelief along with no small amount of dread for the Empire's enemies who may be viewing it as well. The hosts of R'hllor however is more of an unknown and thus exciting to me.

OK then aftermath it is, I can do a Viserys update where he gets a report and still talks about the reaction so we can bridge stuff to a vote afterwards. You can also get a talk about how R'hllor reacted and the fact that he is paying for repairs to the Dauntless. Does that sound OK to everyone? I can do a vote, but 'what next/POV' votes are not that exciting.

A question: do we know IC what happened in the previous interlude? Is R'hllor's priesthood spreading tales of the latest hero who was rewarded with a fast-track to heaven despite living as a nonbeliever?

Soooo.... when do we see the loot? I was wondering if a happy R'hllor blessed the Dauntless and the Sorcerer's Deep temple.

Also I was hoping to snatch up some Ymeri Fey as new minions.

How long did this entire scene actually last in real-time from part 1 to 3 and how many people actually witnessed the event as it was unfolding?

Hmm, good question. I'd say Melisandre would know, but the Red God would not go out of his way to spread the tale. That is kind of bellow his discretion, it's something for priests to decide.
Would Melisandre include this in sermons or something?
This strikes me as perfect PR for the Red God if he's looking to make converts in the Imperium's presumably significant "culturally R'hllorite but not practicing much" population.

Does she do sermons?
She seems to do too much trravelling and troubleshooting for Burny to have much regular priestwork.
She does. She even did some for our Legionnaires and whatnot. IIRC DP once said she entered the tourney alone because while she could have gotten her pick of our best soldiers who'd volunteer to participate with her, she didn't want to rub our face in the possibly worrying fact that she has lots of loyalty from our troops and citizens.

Remember that while we do have our nascent cult of personality thing going (and excellent personal PR all around) she's aware that she shares many of the advantages we leverage into massive PR and she's willing to use them:
  • Position of authority (bigshot Cleric who'll always be recognized by local priesthood / Emperor)
  • Superhuman social skills (high-level social spec with access to piles of buffs / idem)
  • Existing network to spread the word (largest organised religion on earth as a support network and easy way to get in front of trusted people or crowds of worshippers / Empire with newspapers, magic mirrors) - incidentally, she's been in front of those mirrors quite a bit too, so I'd expect people to recognize her face all around the Empire
  • Very recognisable face. Also, they're both very hot (pun intended) and well-dressed, which does help with socials.
  • Does good things for you. We have her beat there with the whole "end slavery" thing, but on the other hand she can lean on the institutional good the Red Cult does (IIRC they do charities and stuff). And in a pinch she can toss high-level healing or Divination around and quickly get thankful people who'll do favors for her.
She knows all this, and while she doesn't keep a cadre of bodyguards with her when she goes adventuring she does use her socials and her position effectively when needed.

And of course she is a worshipper of the Lord of Light who wants to spread the faith, so giving sermons whenever she has the time does make sense.

She will when she gets the chance.

She does not get the chance often but when she does get it Mel enjoys giving a sermon.

For anyone wondering the last words Lor hears are from and angel of the Red God who is about to spill the beans on some multiversal truths about what happens to souls of those without divine protection and then offer him a place besides the Lord of Light. Actions count for a lot in this instance.
This kind of shit is why we need to get the Imperial god up and running ASAP. I don't care how much we trust certain gods, the idea of non-state actors having that much potential leverage upon imperial citizens is not okay.

It's a shame our afterlife wasn't ready yet. He would have been an excellent candidate for an Imperial Outsider.
