Being confused for less than a minute each day isn't much of a drawback... Does the item choose to inflict confusion at the moment the powers are used, or something?

It is caused on use yes, also:

Should the user even be confused for more than 8 consecutive rounds the staff will attempt to consume their mind and usurp their body to some no doubt mad and incoherent ends. Will DC 35 to resist devouring.

2d4 is just below the line
4d4 will get you there on an average roll
8d4 you would have to be lucky not to roll for lunch

So the save is made once a day on the first use and can be skipped if the staff isn't used on that day?

The Dispel effect is neat, but I don't think it's really worth it.
Definitely a keeper, though we should probably invest some research for Qyburn to wrangle those other minds into permanent submission. He has the necessary tools to do so, so it should just need some time and maybe resources. I'm also expecting that it will take a bit longer for him to grow a psi-crystal. Maybe a trip to the Gith monastery is in order.
Also definitely a keeper. This boosts Qyburns PR to 29 (assuming he doesn't level from this trip) and more Power Points are always welcome.
Those items are...about what I expected of the faction. Who are we sticking these on?
Since it's all stuff that requires a psionic class, the options are Qyburn and Jeyne Weaver.

However, the latter has no Psi-Crystal, so the staff is out for her too (Qyburn does not have one either, but he can reshuffle feats through Psychic Reformation to gain one). I also don't think her mental fortitude is good enough to wrangle the staff into submission all the time. I also don't think she wants that thing wired to her spine.

The eye is the same in that regard. Not seeing Jeyne taking such an obvious implant.

OK items first, not sure will get to updates today because this does take a bit more typing then the equivalent in just writing an update, more odd turns of phrase the program can't parse out:

Fractal Eye

Description: This blood red crystal is wrought in the semblance of a multifaceted eye, perhaps from the eye of some strange being. Not even Qyburn can tell where the craft of life ends and that of unliving matter begins. This product of the Deep Ones' arts possesses a sort of pseudo-consciousness capable of entering a seemingly symbiotic relationship with any psion willing to implant it in their forehead. Once implanted it will grant the wearer additional abilities according to their power and station.

Abilities:
CL 1: Sense: The wearer can manifest clairvoyant sense at will.
CL 4: Gather: Continually grants the wearer a +10 Competence bonus on Diplomacy checks made to Gather Information.
CL 8: Concentrate: Continually grants the wearer a +10 Competence bonus on Concentration checks.
CL 11: Penetrate: Grants the wearer a +2 bonus on manifester level checks to overcome a creature's Power Resistance.
CL 15: Repudiate: Allows the wearer to manifest Dispel Psionics three times per day with a +20 modifier on the dispel check (the wearer uses the +20 modifier in place of his manifester level).

Only one of the above listed abilities can be used at any given time. Attuning the Fractal Eye to a different ability requires one hour of meditation.

Special: Though implanted, the Fractal Eye occupies the same slot as a pair of glasses or a lens, as the rudimentary consciousness within appears to be 'jealous' of such items.
Symbiotic Staff

Description: Grown from the ivory of some nameless sea beast and the tortured minds and flesh of Illithid who failed the Elder Brain in some unspeakable way now known only to it. In a cruel twist of irony, staffs such as these are now the preferred weapons of its enforcers.

Ability: As a Greater Psicrystal Staff

Symbots Included:
  1. Invigoration: 1/Day for 10 minutes, the staff's wielder can gain a +2 Morale bonus on saving throws, skill checks, and the DC of of psionic powers they manifest. They also benefit from 5 Temporary Power Points and gain a +1 bonus to their manifester level.
  2. Kenosis: 1/Day, the staff's wielder can target a creature within 60 feet to suppress their psi-like, spell-like, or supernatural abilities, as well as their ability to use psionic powers or to cast spells, for up to 1d4 rounds. This requires a successful Ranged Touch Attack, but it can be prevented by Power Resistance. The effect has a manifester level of 17.
  3. Greater Power Echo (x2): 2/Day, the staff's wielder can manifest any power of 6th level or less that they manifested earlier in the same day. They pay no Power Points to manifest this power, but the the power is not Augmented.
Bane: The staff must connect directly with the mind of the user through their spine (or equivalent biology) where it will consume 1 PP each day, a feeding only just sufficient to keep it on the wretched edge of life. The act is sufficiently painful that the wielder must succeed on a DC 15 Will save each day to avoid becoming Confused for 1d4 rounds. The staff is ever hungry, however, so if the wielder is minded to feed it more often they may draw even greater benefits at their peril.

Should the wielder ever be Confused for more than 8 consecutive rounds, the staff will attempt to consume their mind and usurp their body to some no doubt mad and incoherent ends. Will DC 35 to resist devouring.
Skin of the Psion:

Description: Wrought from the flayed outer membranes of 'lesser psionic beings', this graft does not possess any observable sentience though if one listens carefully, it is possible to discern a faint wailing just on the edge of consciousness.

Ability: This psychoactive skin grants the wearer 7 bonus Power Points per day and Power Resistance 21. In the case of beings with a higher base Power Resistance, the skin instead increases it by +4.
Here's an edited version of the new loot entries, @DragonParadox.

The Dispel Psionics power is really good, dude. Definitely worth using the Eye for that. It will keep Qyburn from needing to use his limited number of known powers to keep Dispel Psionics available and it's already got a +20 Dispel bonus, which would normally require a manifested level of 20 to achieve. This is assuming Qyburn levels up from his recent adventures and has 15 HD to be eligible, but even the 11 HD effect is quite nice. A flat +2 bonus to overcome SR is always appreciated.

Qyburn can use the Eye and the Skin immediately, and the Staff just as soon as he can rearrange his feats to gain a Psi-Crystal.

Hm... point on saving a slot for a power known, but aren't there some really expensive things in his eye slot?

Definitely need to get him Dispel Magic and Greater Dispel Magic then though, since running out of Dispel in the middle of combat would suck.

Jeyne is a wimp.
Not only does she not level appropriately and keep being too weak to send on a leveling-spree in any available battlezone, but she also won't take the nasty neat Squiddly upgrades!
*fumes*

Just gotta pull a Maelor and drag her along on a mission that's way beyond her level.

Mind, that's just my assumption. And she would definitely take the Skin of the Psion. It would just be wasted on her.

-[X] There's creatures already ordered in the Forge to restore this month's damage to the local battlegroup. Once @Goldfish is awake ready and we add it to an actual vote, or something.
-[X] Next, have Asha and Theon sacrifice the Seastone chair to the Ferryman.
-[X] Meanwhile, have Vee look into what it takes to un-desecrate the Naga's Bones - be it by copious sacrifice to Old Gods (later), or straight up moving the thing down, roots-deep if need be.
-[X] The rest of the group unpacks the Mind-Eater for a moment (go to Mindblanked location) and identifies the items, and DP calculates the XP.

"Feed those to the flames!"
-A Valyrian after flaying a newborn, probably.

Those are somehow more disturbing than the spine whip and ghost skin drums.

I'd like to investigate this. If we're lucky, we might shed light on some Deep Ones machination that we can mess around with.

That item slot is actually still open for him.

There aren't really any low level areas that we can send the punks to do battle. At this point I'd honestly just be okay with an automated roll process for all named characters below 10 to level up with the DC decreasing monthly.

what lvl are we making the shadow/danger room teana can use to help train people? idk the spells so i don't know to what lvl it's usefull

There are, there's clearing out barrows in Westeros. It's just there's always the risk of getting unlucky and unleashing a CR20+ Void murderbeast, but eh. And then wrangling the fey that fled from us to the Riverlands, which is easier considering we killed most of the stronger ones. There's also ironically less dangerous ruins in Essos.

I still need to write that up. Not sure exactly how high she can reasonably push the threat up, but CR 10 should be manageable given the spells and resources she has available. If that's the case, people could benefit from it at least through 10th or 11th level, though I wouldn't expect it to be used as much past 7th or 8th level.
