On the one hand that seems to be the sort of minor action we are trying to cut down on, on the other it would be hilarious. We should just show up using Loresong and a Lyre of Building and fix the damage. That would be hilarious. We can even sing a song at the same time ridiculing Tywin.
Edit: We'd do it as Buttercup, of course... no worries.
How far we've come.We should just show up using Loresong and a Lyre of Building and fix the damage. That would be hilarious. We can even sing a song at the same time ridiculing Tywin.
Only fools give orders that are blatantly suicidal and expects them to be obeyed.
@DragonParadox, would a Black Champion count as inconspicuous?
Generally speaking... Does he want something to watch over the boy or something that can repaint his palace with everyone looking at him funny?
*looks at Robert ordering the Royal Fleet against us*
I mostly want to do it not because I think it is super important or will change anything... and more because it is fucking amusing as hell.On the one hand that seems to be the sort of minor action we are trying to cut down on, on the other it would be hilarious.
As good a reason as any I have heard. If you throw up a plan for us to do it as a quick fluffy one shot that does not ruin the pacing of anything else, I will back it.I mostly want to do it not because I think it is super important or will change anything... and more because it is fucking amusing as hell.
A variety of reasons. The Starks and the Royces have some distant familial relations, but more importantly they have some traditional dynastic ties which makes the gesture kind of a big deal to give up a ward for safekeeping. On an unrelated note how does the Starks sending Sansa to the Royces square with them possibly gearing up to attempt to fight us? They have to at least suspect the Royces are on our side, so they essentially handed us a hostage (not that we or the Royces would harm a child) which seems unwise?
That was Catelyns plan, not Neds. I'm suspecting there is some strife in the family about Ned backing Robert while his wife would prefer not to have to bury her kids.On an unrelated note how does the Starks sending Sansa to the Royces square with them possibly gearing up to attempt to fight us? If we can manipulate Cersei into killing Robert, that would leave me very satisfied. Especially if we can make it obvious that Cersei did it.
It would be like Viserys cruising in going "the fuck just happened? Who took away my moment of righteous vindication? Cersei? Fucking Cersei Lannister did? The fuck?!"
And given we can lie as easily as we breathe the above will look credible.
@DragonParadox Would sending an invisible kill-bot that would give even the Terminator some trouble be a bit overboard? Like would we be implying we basically expect someone with powerful illusion magic is going to try to murder a child in the seat of a high lord?
Or is Viserys generally regarded as an overzealous protector whenever anyone asks it of him? I can see it painted both ways. I don't think there was a time we've intervened at request and not gone absolutely overboard.
This one has eyes in the back of its head.As long as it is a stealthy kill team that can blend into his court Doran would be neither particularly surprised nor the least displeased

Rumors and Reports of Westeros Part Two
Twenty Ninth Day of the Second Month 294 AC
The Iron Isles
The Hidden Battle of Harlaw: The wisdom of assigning forces to aid Rodrik the Reader, Regent of Pyke, had proven itself threefold this month as he was the target of an assassination attempt by Drowned Men warped by their congress with the Deep Ones and wielding powers of the mind, saved only by the presence of his guard of black knights whose unwavering dead gases could not be turned aside.
