I'm struggling to come up with what kind of help we can offer her beyond material resources. We can supply her with spell scrolls, Alchemical supplies, and a limited limited amounts of enchanted items. We already upgraded her gear last month to bring her up to spec.

Bloom might want to participate if the opportunity was offered to her.

Rina would be a major asset, I'm sure, but I don't want to volunteer a Companion for something like this, not when we need her on Planetos.

Wait. This is genuinely killing Ymeri, not just whittling down her forces?

I... I really wanted to be the ones to finish her off ourselves. I was looking forward to taking the rest of her power.

We need to finish eating her!
I'm happy with what bite we got out of her, tbh.
She's mostly R'hlor's meal after what she pulled, anyway.
Can't really make him put our opportunistic "ooh, is that an energy field we can try to eat?" Over his own interests.

It'd be worthwhile to send some of our forces there even if we ourselves can't be present.

looks at Bloom & Amrelath
Both are underpowered compared to Mel, but Amy and Bloom are also of objective use long-term in Sarnor clean-up: Qohor clean-up; etc.

This is an IC way of having one less plate up in the air, and DP not having to try and come up with something threatening from something as non-threatening as she really is.

I'll be really happy if she dies here.

Objectively I understand that it's in the best interest of the quests to have one less plate spinning in the air. Subjectively I'm disappointed we didn't get to follow through and take the rest of Ymeri's power for our own. It's hard to let go of that when you've been looking forward to it for months.

Oh well. Good luck to Melisandre. @DragonParadox, can we bargain with R'hllor for the fealty of the fire fey after Ymeri's fall? That was part of the reason we wanted to deal with her initially, and if he's gonna be the one to kill her they'd answer to him.

Definitely yeah. A lot of those fire fey are clever enough to escape and for the ones who surrender the Red God is not really a perfect overlord, being that he is lawful.

There is even a chance Ymeri could escape lessened giving Viserys a chance to finish her off.

Please don't. It would preferable if she dies. The sadness is just from lost loot. It will pass.

There are plenty of other things for us to kill and loot, though it will be bittersweet to see Ymeri fall by another's hand, even an ally.

This has the potential to be a very interesting interlude arc, @DragonParadox. /cough cough /hint /hint :ninja::ninja::ninja:

As long as the fey come to us I'm happy.

1. This is decided by dice, not by narrative fiat.
2. Despite what you're implying, nobody was asking DP to force R'hllor's attack against Ymeri to end in failure.

I'd much rather not see it and get the results in a post-action report. Yes, it'd be interesting, but we have way more to cover in Prime Material.

[X] Offer to participate in the case of breach of Ymeri's defenses and time enough for you to reinforce her. You can't guarantee personal support through a long siege, though you will deploy assets at the start of the month to support her own efforts once you have determined what you can spare, but you would be inclined to face down Ymeri face to face if given the opportunity.

I think we should make special note that we're doing this in exchange for R'hllor giving us leeway to recruit whatever fey we can from the power vacuum of Ymeri's fall, with the rest going to him.

I've had my eye on that Leanan Sidhe for a while.

Let's negotiate what we deserve based upon the amount we actually contribute, rather than what we desire out of the arrangement. I certainly don't intend to play R'hllor false. If we want a lot, we should give a lot. And in order to do that, we need to talk about what we contribute to his assault, and whether or not we get personally involved in time for the final showdown.

But not right now, because quite frankly I'm not sure yet what we can spare. We certainly can't twiddle our thumbs for an entire month killing her ablative armor.

At a minimum we can probably spare Bloom and Amrelath for a sustained assault even if the rest of the Imperium is forced to leave for other things. Possibly the Hadhayosh, too.

But that said we can definitely contribute enough for an opening assault to bring down Ymeri's fortress.

No offense, but looking at the turnplan notes, I'm pretty sure all we can spare is a big fat "nothing".

We have Norvos/Qohor as Free Action for anyone remotely powerful enough to take part.
We have CoS for anyone remotely combat-capable.
We have Slavers' Bay for Intriguers and sneaky-sneaks.
We have PoW and Summer Isles for diplomacners (non-Companion).
