I thought so too, but even if we only unlocked the research for it we can just use templates from existing samples.

Red -- Viserys, Amrelath, Zerlyaz, and to a lesser extent all our Valyrian Dragons
Green -- Felzath Farseer's original corpse
Blue -- Ysandrix
White -- Those five White Dragon Wyrm Wraiths we fought in Thenn Valley when performing the evacuation & the Heart of Winter

Thenn Valley. The Others kindly provided corpses of White Dragons.
i'm pretty sure we didn't get corpses of the wyrmwraiths, as they you know, had no bodies

--[X] Qyburn will cast a Black Sand spell coinciding with Osryx's breath weapon and overlaying Polyos' Black Tentacles spell.

I can put something together for next month's Forge order.
If ability to cast Mindblank themselves is unachievable, every divination-confusing method should be added instead.
From spell-like abilities that give false divination info, up to starting designing them from a base of a Lead-encased Soulforged Undead.

They really need Divination-evading capabilities if they are to face hundreds of imps who'll be constantly running divination in Slavers' Bay.

Lead-clad undead are permanently mindblanked. So are any molds that pilot them.
Isn't doing lead-clad and Soulforged take away 3CR from the get go, or something?

I'm shite at throwing together new creatures, so I assumed this as a 'nuclear option' as the most straightforward way that also limits what one can do with the design (since not a plant).

Being able to cast Mind Blank is generally useful since it allows to use things that aren't the caster for counter-espionage and general "sneeky-breeki" action.

I'm totes okay with whatever Goldfish throws together ofc.
I'm only making an order for a specific use, its not like I have any right to complain about stuff :V

It's only +2 CR to add Soulforged and Lead-Clad. You can just grab some of our standard undeads and slap on Lead-Clad for a +1. Everything except the Necro-Kranken and the Black Champion have enough pare CR to add it.

At the very least, I would make a batch of Lead-Clad Black Brutes, in case of attack. They can easily take on even strongly combat focused devils such as Cornugons, while remaining a surprise.

Interlude DCCCLXXX: Sowing Desolation
Sowing Desolation

Twenty Sixth Day of the Second Month 294 AC

Azema had fought devils before, not often and not madly seeking it out, but in the company she kept it was easy to forget that often it was the devils who should know fear. The dragon poured forth black fire, filling the hall and slaying men by the dozen yet weaving between allies deftly as a thread through a needle's eye. Tyene summoned winds to whip away gas and send devilish bolts flying almost off course. They 'wounded' the black knight, if one could be said to wound a husk already dead, but it was the old man, the one oft forgotten, whose eyes gleamed at the thought of prizes, not battle, who worked the most fearful magic to the alu demon's eye.

It was one thing to cast black leeching sand below the enemy's feet and summon tendrils of false flesh to hold the enemy tight, it was another by far to conjure a mass of pulsating flesh beneath infernal armor that grows and squirms until it threatens to devour the mind of the very devil who rules this place. The devil did not flee bolts or dragon flame, it fled the old man in white stained more by his blood than the enemy's.

Azema marked the old man well as one to watch, he would go far on roads few mortals would dare walk.

After breaking through the choke point, striding over the corpses of their enemies under deadly a portcullis and the thinnest of faults in the stone above that might have brought the upper city all too close, they came at last to a new made hall delved deep into the native sandstone, guarded by carved effigies of the Lady of Spears on either side so lifelike that Aradia kept her bow on them until Tyene and Wisdom Qyburn verified that they were no servitors poised to attack.

Inside they found surgeon's tools polished to a shine, baths of strange salts and vitriol, and half-empty jars of alchemical concoctions that smelled foul to Azema's nose in ways that blood and rot or even pitch and brimstone did not. A devil's workshop as much as a goddess' holy place alright.

A moment later, summoned by one of the little dragons, Lady Melisndre and her company walked in by shadow paths that she had not dared take before for lack of an obvious endpoint.

"The spirit has left this place, but the remains can perhaps be useful," she sighed, looking in askance at the corpse knight. She might be able to bear its company, but she obviously didn't have to like it. Then she opened her mouth to speak to it and Azema had to change her mind all at once. "Can you desecrate this place, make it anathema to the divine?"

"Yes..." the mold hissed through dead lips. "Your god would have greater strength in the magic."

"I do not wish to give the enemy a hallowed place of R'hllor to make their own again once we are gone, better to leave naught but bitter ash behind."

By the time they left the hall it was as empty of gods as it was of discoverable loot. Some things, Azema contemplated, never changed.

OOC: I was struggling to give the battle a proper gravitas with the Apostasy Devil being able to run so I just glossed over a bit and rolled through so we can finally get out of Slaver's Bay and on to the new and improved world with less 'monster of the week feel'. On the plus said the major devils surviving means they can eventually redeem themselves narratively into being proper characters with goals and objectives of their own.

Okay, not gonna lie, I skipped about 90% of this ark.
Someone giving an abridged of the strategic situation in the cities would be real nice.

That aside, here's the stuff that more-or-less fals under "Minor Actions" and reports we had yet to do this month
[] Checking in on Meraxes and the progress of creation of the "Imperial Steel".
[] Grabbing notes on Lannisters/CItadel/Various threats off Marwyn
[] Getting the Wildunt's mercenary Fey sorted in (get DP's statement that they are now available for assignments)
[] Getting Marwyn's party sorted in (levels, gear, statwment on availability for assignments, etc.)
[] Getting the copy of the clockwork familiar traded for in Hellven the 1st month.
[] Sacrificing the body of the Anu-Simung to the Storm God (get all recoverable lore from the body as a payment, and other nice boons if that doesn't take up all of the sacrifice's power)
[RNG: 7+ days after the 24th of 2nd month] Summoning the Void-aligned Daemon encountered in Sarnor
[RNG] Continuing to be on the lookout for the Chosen of Stranger via the dead-drops they were leaving for the Chosen of Smith.
So, I'd like to get a close-off on Anu-Simmie here.

[X] do a minor action
-[X] Have the body of Anu-Simung sacrificed to the Storm God in his hallowed shrine.
--[X] Ask for all the knowledge that can possibly be recovered (especially crafting lore) - being recovered.
--[X] If any power is left over from the sacrifice, have it invested into the Well of Eternity again, as it is quite possible it will be used further in action against enemy Deities.
--[X] Have Ceria and Stannis be present.

We can have Stannis do the sacrificing if y'all feel like that would do him any good.

Or invest any remaining power elsewhere other than WoE, I'm not too interested in empowering the thing right now, but I'm not too sure where to invest favor from a God as weak as Stormy is right now.

Edit:
@DragonParadox, before I forget shit actually related to the chapter, could you get us a total account of Devil bodies/prisoners we got from this action?
They've gonna be questioned and have their buddies summoned throughout the next month, as usual for us.

I personally do not like high ranking devils escaping that know our ways and can cause trouble later, but it makes sense that those in high ranking of Hell would know when to run when able. At least Qyburn put the fear of necromancy in them. :p

So what do people want to focus on next?

So what do people want to focus on next?
We can either try and blow through all of the reports and minor actions now, and leave the Garin's Quohor arc for the month's finale...
Or do some now, have that arc, and have some more reports after it.

Tbh, I feel like former is the better way.
We'll have whatever they face in Qohor naturally flowing into the "shit shit shit, we have to burn this!!!" tentatively planned for the 3rd month.

We have no really important stuff in MAs and reports besides a) Fey Crown RA, b) Lannister info from Marwyn, c) Meraxes (not) finishing Imperial Steel.
Well, and infrastructure, and economics, and yadda-yadda.

Here's an edited version of the chapter, DP.

@Goldfish I really want rolls for mages.

What did they actually recover in the end?

Can we not do Qohor-arc right now, maybe?
Pretty please?

We'll drown the end of the month in "no action whatsoever" reports.
We'll be getting as much as a week of reports alone if DP doesnt abridge as hard as possible.

It isn't as bad as it used to be with MAs (my fault squarwly), but havent gotten reports on other Adventires, nor RAs throughout the mknth, unlike usually.

Edit: okay @Crake, sure, have your mages.
I only argue leaving fun stuff for the month's end instead of reports alone.

Alright. I'm approaching midnight where I live and I have, after a grueling month and a half, managed to read through every story post to catch up with the thread, with a few diversions here and there. It. Is. Done ! I haven't read anything else I've got watched or followed on Spacebattles or sufficientvelocity in that entire time, with alerts piling up left and right! But I have conquered this mountain!
