Speaking of me genuinely liking to write, I might have another update today.
Then write it and don't post it.
Then use the building-up confused desire to post to write more fluff.
The rest of the Valyrian Gods need fluff, stuff on Targ isles needs fluff, Efreeti War fronts need fluff, local PoB Gods need more fluff and agency at least in their cities, Drow; Snek Cities; Mossovy, Feywild, Dream Plane (with whatever enemy entity Dany sensed so long ago); - all of it needs fluff even if we never ever end up going there. Just on an off chance that we do, or we'll just eventually get Inquisition report on trouble being handled.

Seriously, you need a few days focused writing stuff for yourself.
3.500 words don't sound enough for this quest as large as it has grown.

...I'll believe you when you have at least 15-30k of pure background chaos.
Mwhaha. :V

Welp... I've just written 3500 words of stream of consciousness notes that would probably induce a migraine in anyone else reading them, but it's down at least. More to do tomorrow.

If you guys have any questions about the quest worldbuilding or anything else flee free to ask, I'll be sticking around the thread.
I hope they're in google docs as well as on your computer hard drive.

This is something you should consider, @DragonParadox. Write updates and then just have them stored in a google drive or a group PM or something, and then post when the time is right after all necessary edits are done.

Fair, I do actually have Mossovy fluff from back when I introduced it and some vague Targ Island fluff, but real good call on the gods, they have been a bit passive when not having tea with Viserys.

I hope they're in google docs as well as on your computer hard drive.

They are on a just bought external hard drive. Given the way my internet tends to pop out I'd rather keep access to them.

With the Imperial Gods specifically it'd make a lot of sense for them to be fully taking advantage of Viserys' patronage and being able to send clerics to formerly hostile cities. There's a lot of potential for culture clash there, though of course that's partially blunted by the gods themselves slowly and grudgingly allying against common enemies (hello Tiamat).

For the sake of preparedness have them on both. If god forbid your external hard drives breaks, even if you regularly have internet outages your notes would be safe in google docs.

Sorry, did not realize it was supposed to be a secret
Btw, not much of a secret, I just would've preferred to keep it hidden that I know the results to them beforehand (just that I could throw the basis for the turnplan together easier in the few free days I have until the Uni starts again) while everyone else doesn't.
Telling those to everyone would, indeed, ruin the intrigue I think, regardless of how much (and I insist on 'a lot' still) they are summarised.

So I just finished the rolls for the gods and R'hllor in particular, Melisandre is going to be busy next month, she can only take a minor action on account of a mission from god. I'll have her tell you guys about it IC, nothing that should bother you, in fact I suspect the thread will be quite supportive.

Oddly enough, I think one of the biggest issues this quest has stems from an insistence on showing instead of telling us things we should already know. There have been plenty of times when we plow into something that we know about IC, but haven't seen wrote out yet. Showing is better than telling, but takes more time, and this quest has too many balls to juggle even without doing that.

Melisandre: "I have an important mission from--"

Viserys: "What do you need?"

Mel: "--well, I suppose--"

Viserys: "Take it."

Mel: "But I didn't even--"

Viserys: "Really, at this point, just assume I agree. I trust you."

Melisandre: "Wow, okay, that's heavy. Gonna need a bit to process this."

Viserys: "Time accelerated demiplane is on the right."

Oh, this should be interesting.

Also speaking of the kids being used against us we should definitely ask the Freedom Domain Goddess to help us out with that.

*laughs in knowing major plot points*

So, to talk a bit about the plot instead of the meta-level, that priestress-thing really fooled us, didnt she?

We have several heavily tainted children of high local nobility running around, that were teleported into open view where we can't just catch them, by our own Teleport-Trap.

Well played, even if we do manage some damage to the Unsullied-shrine, this will speed up the devil's timetable.

Eh.
Whether Qohor turns out "It is too shit, we have to conquer it" or "Eh, it's not too shit, it can wait" is the only conflicting factor besides the RAs (not?) being complete right now.
Those can take up a lot of people depending on which ones we see done this month.
And depending on some completing some Adventures may be more viable.

Ergo, it is just them I really need to start throwing shit together now.

TLDR:
You foreknowledge has no power over me, Devil!
For I can't read foreshadowing anyway!

So I was just about to do a write up about Winter and specifically Rina's relation with it when I realized that she is do a level up, her level 10 level up yet. What do you guys think should I just write that up now and spare myself having to write it out twice? True it breaks the flow of the narrative, but not too badly since there is a perspective shift regardless.

I am looking forward to Qohor. So much potential XP just squatting there waiting to be taken.

@DragonParadox, the thing is that levelup happens after Sarnor, and we're in the middle of a retroactive Slaver's Bay arc. I'd say write it, her transformation into a Winter Fey is a huge milestone, but don't post it until after this arc is done. You are right to be worried about narrative flow, because putting this in the middle would be disruptive.

The point is: I can't comment due to foreknowledge.

Not foreshadowing mind you. Foreknowledge. There is literally no way for anyone to have guessed this.

Which makes it really, really fun to participate at all. Even this arc, I should have sat out everything completely.

Just write it now, save it and post it another day.

It's actually not retroactive, you are well past the retroactive bits that's why Viserys and Richard can be here.
