Okay, more specifications on something that should be done anyway
We didn't have many Outsiders before now. And the ones we did have were too useful to do much besides what we assigned them. Now we have a lot more flexibility thanks to being able to create minions without a bunch of preconceptions, baggage and shared history surrounding them, so we can use the ones in our service who do have that junk as a case study for the people we're handing "limited cosmic power" to learn from/about in a controlled environment.

Also, I mostly vote for it because even though I'm sure Teana was bringing in Outsiders for students to interact with, she explicitly wasn't hiring them on as faculty as we see in this update, so mentioning the shift in-story is supposed to be for our, and future readers', entertainment. If you don't explicitly write about it, to the average reader, it might as well not be a thing, even if it makes sense.

@Goldfish Do we replace our Lyres? I bet we could just arrange to have them bought in Armun Kelisk at market price so we can get full usage for the entire next turn. I don't even suspect we need to waste an update on it, though we can vote on it for propriety's sake. How much would five more cost?

Yeah, we might as well. Buy out what's available in Armun Kelisk, the Opaline Vault, and Vialesk, then commission however many more we need when the time comes to place those orders.

We can send folks to do that tomorrow IC.

Office hours are certainly going to be... interesting.
Can you imagine the faculty lounge?

"Is that coffee?"

"DON'T TOUCH THAT!"

"...that's not coffee. Oh gods, that's not coffee..."

"He's been brewing that for the last week."

"Why not do it in THE LAB?"

"They were looking for it in the lab, and since it's Finals, hardly anyone looks in the lounge..."

"And you just let him do it here?!"

"I bribed him by offering to proctor exams."

"...that was smart, but immoral."

...

"Hello. Devil?"

"Ah, right."

Inquisition Squad busting in: "SOMEONE REPORTED A WHITE FIRE--is that coffee?"

"oh GOD--"

"Oh don't be so melodramatic, this is only a war crime if used on CIVILIANS."

@Crake, I'm neck-deep in study debts at the moment, and half-ded asleep.
The only things I haven't reassigned due to feedback yet are the Wyverns you mentioned to me.
I'll do that tomorrow regardless, but just a heads-up for the latest turn-plan's proposal I had.

I'm also inclined to keep the Moonchaser doing things other than retrofits for space just yet.
With 1 Moonchaser-class on PoF with SIduri and Yrten, and 1 assigned to supporting Djinn offensive, that leaves Moonsong to bomb the shit out of Sarnori Undead when our main force leaves with their leaders dead.
...Or we can just keep every ship-asset on that task, that too.
Hell, we can pull Yrten, Siduri and AMrelath on that.

We don't have time for our glorious Moon-trip yet anyway.
It is definitely post-Reconquest business.

We don't really have any thing justifying a space program right now regardless. No rival powers forcing us to make a show of beating them to the punch, no extreme military applications other than spy satellites we haven't even designed yet (more research actions) hurrying us along, no existential threat from that vector (that we're aware of) lighting a fire under our ass.

We could put it off a whole year and focus on internal stability and direct military applications instead.

Well there is an outsider on the moon (a couatl I think) but that should be alright for a time I think.

...I just want to launch nuclear space-rocks at the offending eye-sores of enemy cities, yes-yes.
Something along these lines, really, just from above.

This reminds me of that old TV Show called, what's it again... ah! Park and Recreation.

At least the shenanigans that ensues at least.

Speaking of shenanigans. Hey @F0lkL0re, I've been reading your posts lately. New guy eh? What's your impression on this pandemonium which we call a community?

for real though, this is a decent destination for all our Wyvenrs/Moonchaser-class ships, and/or Amy to remain at after we are done with the Free Action.
Thoughts?

One month of withdrawing support from Djhinn gonna sting, but not too badly, and raiding ops in PoF are far, far too RNG to care about when we have no good leads. Like right now.

...well, at worst we can assign most of Wyverns to Essarian bombings.

Imma slep now.
*Blyats away*

Pandemonium? I thought you guys where pretty normal... I guess the thread has been more friendly then some can be, but that's nothing to be ashamed of.

You call the voices in Viserys Targaryen's normal?

**Looks around.

Abomini-spiderfish
Cawing Knight
Guy with a constipated grin
Paranoid WTF-is-that-face bonnet guy
A field of saffron
Waddle Dee
A medal?
A ritual mandala
Salt statues of a tree, a sad dog, and a devil
Various other people in various forms and sizes

Kinda the feeling of strolling at Sorcerer's Deep nowadays huh?

And now you have someone who I have on good authority is very unlikely to be made of shoggoths and likes to chase knights while armed with a can opener, truly just like Sorcerer's Deep this is an interesting place and I hope it will only continue to get more interesting as time goes on.

Excuuuuuse, me?! This is not just any ritual mandala. This is a glorious, pure divinity-infused symbol that shines unconquered upon my broken masters!

How dare you to lump it with any mortal edifices! I shall have your fate overwritten by the Bureau of Destiny, you strange-looking fish!

It still cracks me up that to be an engineer of great success in our Imperium the aspirant needs to go to college (knowledge: engineering), pass a physical exam and learn how to play a musical instrument (multi-hour lyre of building marathon).

Haha, as funny as that thought it, it's more likely a team effort, with one or more engineers drawing up plans and working with one of the skilled Bards we've hired, making sure they have a thorough understanding of what needs to be built when they play the Lyre. That said, I wouldn't be surprised if there is some cross contamination between the two groups, with engineers picking up a bit of a Perform (String Instruments) skill while the Bards might end up with a couple points in Knowledge (Engineering).

@Goldfish Throw some gear at Danar and Alyssa next turn, maybe. I'm inclined to just stick them with wherever Viserys is going and power leveling them like we are Sandor. The gap between us and them is quite less than what it was with Maelor, too, so they won't even swallow too much of the XP, either. :V

Edit: Also, we might wanna make sheets for them.

They're actually not in a bad place gear-wise, but there is definite room for improvement. Note made.

Alyssa has a character sheet on the second page with some of the other Westerosi folks, though I haven't added it to my reference page yet. If Danar has a sheet, I'm not sure where it's at. We'll probably need to me one for him.

Wasn't she retraining into the magical equivalent of Ranger?

If she's retraining from Ranger to Mystic Ranger, that would be really freaking nice. I don't recall that being mentioned, but that doesn't mean much.

We'll need to get confirmation from @DragonParadox on that one. If she's not retraining now, we should try to encourage her in that direction.

You know, I've noticed this before, but has anyone else pointed out how on the map painted in our colors, the Imperium looks like a Dragon with its wings unfurled about to attack Westeros?
